Guess I never reviewed Roger’s UYE before the Bowling UYE! My most favorite shave so far is the Black Sesame flavor. I would say this and the Mango shave have the most flavor out of all(IMO of course), and I’ve tried the Chocolate, Vanilla, Green Tea, Coffee, Strawberry etc… I think I’ve hit pretty much all of the original flavors. Chocolate would probably be my third favorite here :) I’ve tried quite a bit of the toppings too… some goodies like oreos and mochi, down to the healthy stuff like pineapple, mangos, and strawberries. I think being a glutton is best, so I’ll stick with the sugary stuff: P And they have great condensed milk! I’ve tried their chocolate sauce, but I much prefer extra condensed milk. They are great at remembering my order too, and go heavy on it: P I can’t say I’ll ever be able to drive over to the Boulder Highway location, but I am pretty sure I can make it most Wednesdays to Decatur near Sahara! And I think everyone is going to use this UYE hub as the check in for Frost Bites on Westside Wednesdays lol… they keep merging the two accounts for some reason, so leave this one for the Wednesday check ins!

Having a UYE for Frostbites Shavery is a no brainer. Since these guys are kind of across town in Henderson, I was only too happy to find out they are trying out this location. From what im told, they are going to make this spot the norm every Wednesday. As soon as I found out, I immediately set this UYE up. The Unilocal peeps were only too happy to show up and enjoy some snow ice goodness. I had it set for 8 pm but people were actually showing up throughout the day because they couldn’t wait. Needless to say, a lot of people still showed up for the 8 pm start time. Special thanks to the good folks at Frostbites for deciding to come to this location and serving us frozen goodness.

Thanks to Roger T. for organizing the Frostbites Shavery UYE tonight. It was fun trying my first shaved ice and it was great, as always, meeting friends from Unilocal, sharing some good food, and sharing some conversation. The Frost Bites truck was at the Telus Call Center on the side directly opposite Trader Joe’s on the O’Bannon Drive side. The staff was very friendly and within no time I was enjoying a regular Black sesame with mochi and drizzled with sweetened condensed milk. On an evening when the temperature was around 110 at 8PM, this was a cool, delicious treat. Frost Bites is going to bring their truck here every Wednesday from 3 to 10PM so if you missed tonight, get down there next week. I know I will to try another flavor. Mango with coconut sounds good to me! Again, thanks Roger!
