He is the best doctor ever, he is straight forward and yet very supportive and encouraging. I feel 110% confident in his skills and knowledge of medicine. Only doctor I ever had that I actually enjoy seeing and look forward to seeing!

I experienced a lot of pain during the procedure that the doctor performed. He didnt not administer enough anesthetic to address the pain. Earlier, as I waited to see him I heard another patient crying out in pain for about 20 minutes. I will not be using his services again. I suggest you look else where.

My orthopedic surgeon recommended Dr Utley for my bunions. I had bunion surgery in July and was very pleased. It’s a great office and a great doctor!

First, I went in early November for impressions for new orthodics. I did not hear anything, so I called about a month later. I made an appointment. The day before the appointment, the office called. The lady told me that the doctor did not want to give me the orthodics until either I paid or the insurance paid. She said that he was sick and tired of paying for orthodics for other people. She said that insurance does not pay. I asked her if she submitted the claim to my insurance. She said that she had, and that she had sent it by mail because my insurance does not accept electronic filings. She could not tell me when she sent the paperwork, plus my insurance said that 95% of the claims were electronic. I contacted my insurance because Dr. Utley’s office wanted $ 500 for the retail price of the orthodics from me. I contacted my insurance, and they stated that most doctors accept payment after services rendered. This is especially true when the doctors are in the PPO. My insurance decided to work with Dr. Utley’s office. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from my insurance that his office had submitted the claim incorrectly, and that there would be a delay. My insurance representative had to walk his staff through the process of filling out the paperwork so that they would receive payment. At that point, I thought that the problem with insurances not paying was because of their lack of expertise in filling out the paperwork properly. Still, I do not think that the patients should be penalized for the lack of proper procedures in the doctor’s office. I had to make an appointment with the doctor to finally get the orthodics. I had to pay for a full doctor’s visit just for the doctor to hand me the orthodics. I put them in my shoes myself and left. This was not a very good experience. I do not want to feel that necessary medical services or products are being held back because of the billing department’s inadequacies. When I was getting the impressions for the orthodics, they kept telling me that my insurance would not pay. Even though they called my insurance and got an ok, they still doubted that my insurance would pay. I called my insurance, myself, and with the codes that his office gave, the insurance said that they would pay. They did ask if the orthodics were medically necessary, and I told them that they are because of my flat feet and the shorter left leg.
Since then, I have gone back to my former podiatrist. I wanted to change because my former podiatrist is about 45 minutes from my house, but I realize that it is worth it. The orthodics that I got from Dr. Utley do not fit properly, and I am still using the old orthodics.
