This was a fun little gathering that produced a much smaller turnout compared to past Elite Events. But it’s about quality, not quantity, right? And Vegas has lots of quality Unilocalers, so you’re always in good company! Our group was treated to complimentary dishes including duck tacos, artichoke popper-like things, chicken satay(satay at a pizza place!?), coconut shrimp, kobe beef sliders, truffle cheese pizza and a BBQ chicken pizza. Everything was very tasty, with the duck tacos and both pizzas stealing the show for me. Sammy’s ended our meal with messy sundaes! Misti always manages to throw events that allow Unilocalers to participate by dressing up in some manner; being so close to Halloween, this event was no different! The drawback: it had to be a fitness themed costume! My only reservation about that is that we may have gotten some more costumed Unilocalers if we had free reign with our creativity. One neat part of the night was the jokes; each Unilocaler was randomly given one part of a joke, either the question or the punchline. The goal was to match your part of the joke with the other, which forced us Unilocalers to mingle with everybody! Not that we’re a shy group to begin with, but a little coaxing never hurt! One suggestion would be to maybe have multiple questions/punchlines on a paper, which would have the continuously be talking to different people. Overall a fun night with tasty treats and good company! Sound like every other Unilocal event? You bet!

I love going to Unilocal events because the people that I get to meet are so nice! This was my first event where I brought my husband so I was afraid it would be awkward for him. He really enjoyed himself and he agreed that everyone was really cool and friendly! The food was also very good .my weakness was the Kobe Beef Sliders. I could have easily ate five but thank goodness I didn’t! They were melt in your mouth delicious… especially with the bread they used on it. It reminded me of Hawaiian Bread or Pan De Sal. The Kobe beef with the pita bread was also tasty . Sammy’s also ran a drink special on their Melon Cherry Martini for $ 3.50. It was quite a deal and it tasted good. You would expect for that price it might be watered down but it was perfect! We couldn’t leave without having some of their Hummus with the Roasted Garlic Pita bread. It so good the smell of the bread is enough to entice me to eat more even though I was full. Thanks Misti for throwing another fun event ! My husband also thanks you for making him feel like he was a Unilocaler too… even though he’s not!
I’ve always enjoyed the thin crust pizzas at Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza, so having a Unilocal Elite Event there was a double plus! Not only did I get to hang out with my fellow Elite Unilocalers in an intimate environment, but also got to enjoy the savory bites of duck tacos, brie and mushroom pizza(with truffle oil), chicken satay, panko-crusted coconut shrimp, and sliders. Oh yes, and a sweet ending with their messy sundaes! I was very impressed with Misti and Bobby’s costumes — who knew that one could be so creative with a bunch of refurbished items from Repurpose America(Greener Vegas)! Crafty! And shout-outs to all the other Unilocalers who took the time to get dressed up too(Anthony M., Lily D., and Matt R.)! Wonder what other costumes we’ll see on Halloween! Congrats to the winners and thanks to Sammy’s for the cool prizes and coupons! Until the next one!
