Toll Brothers

We purchased a Toll Brother’s home 3 years ago. Having been in the construction business for 30 years and building numerous homes ourselves, our experience with Toll Brothers was exceptional. They also covered the complete cost of a water leak we had, which was unexpected but demonstrates why they are one of the top home builders in the U.S.

While we were happy with the end result of the build the options were limited but they did manage to work with us on a few things. The real problem wasn’t so much with the builders but the TBI lender they are affiliated with. They had 6 months to help us secure a loan. We were rushed into doing our walk throughs in April and it is now June and still haven’t closed. They have chosen a lender Wellsfargo that seems to be in the business of not giving loans. I blame TBI for not preunderwriting our loan and getting everything in place. They seem to have zero clout with their lender and don’t have any interest in going to bat for you. There is not sense of urgency and we have been lied to every step of the way. My reccomendation is to get your own financing. They are horrible to deal with. We were scheduled to close 6 weeks ago and have just had to switch to a private lender since they continued to string us along. The stress has been incredible. On the quality of workmanship I would give a 5 start rating, The options three stars and the TBI lender zero stars.

we’ve been working with Toll Brothers on our new home purchase and needless to say we are super disappointed with the options we have been pigeon– holed in as we feel like they have monopolized on the options that are and that are not available. We are already under contract, and if we were not, I wouldn’t make this purchase nor would I recommend it. its appalling! just an example… they offered us 1 color finish for our cabinet colors in our home, and any other color was an «upgrade», costing Thousands! I am going to enjoy causing a stink because I am already committed… so why not!!!

Negative stars if possible. Worst builder to deal with. Purchased our vacation home in Lake Las Vegas from toll brothers. the home is about 6 years old. Definitely very much under home warranty. Powder room Commode backed up and flooded storage area in our garage. Of course this happened at 3 am. Called pure plumbing who immediately sent someone out to fix the problem. Don from pure plumbing recommended we call quick response to clean up the water and rip out sheet rock etc. turns out Toll Bros installed a faulty flapper in the sewer drain. The licensed plumbers report clearly states that with photos to back up and yet Toll Bros is refusing to repair the damage. Not only that but just the process of even getting them to call back was a nightmare in and of itself. The lack of customer care and the complete lack of owning up to responsibility and the «warranty» is enough to never ever recommend this builder. Oh and when quick response opened up the ceiling to rip out insulation they found about six empty beer bottles. There’s your Cracker Jack builder. Disgusting! We are definitely pursuing this in small claims. We have had our repairs dine because that’s just how we roll, but are pursuing this on principle.
