Yeah, I know, I wouldn’t have guessed that I would be giving a restaurant in Circus Circus five stars either. It’s not like Circus Circus is bad, it’s just one of the older casinos on the strip and is a bastion of that cheesy 1980s-ness down to the carpet. But step into the Steakhouse, and you are absolutely transported into another time/place/frame of mind. Super classy, super low-key, with excellent service and even better food. My sister took me here as a Christmas present, and it was probably the best present I’ve gotten in years. Food was perfect, and my gigantic porterhouse steak was an absolutely perfect rare. Do yourself a favor and take a loved one(or, hell, just yourself) here, get a gin martini, and soak it in. Leave the meat sweats for later.

I forgot to check in at this fine establishment! We dined here for a pre New Years Dinner… This place was recommended by locals as being one of the finest steakhouses in Vegas… I must say my family and I are were so impressed with the food and outstanding service! We ordered a special that they were offering at the time; choice of salad(Waldorf Wedge I chose), Entrée 8 ounce filet mignon which was absolute perfection, 8 ounce lobster tail that was totally delectable, baked potato, asparagus spears finished off with a tiramisu that was to die for! This restaurant was zagat rated for several years and I highly recommend this place if your desire is for an outstanding steak. The only drawback is if you want call it, it’s in Circus Circus… Not to sound like a snob, but there are far nicer hotel casinos in the area that have restaurants that you would think serve the same caliber of steak. Not always true, sometimes image isn’t everything… Happy New Years!

Great steak place without all the extra charges elsewhere in Vegas. I would go back again. Don’t be fooled by it being in the Circus Circus. I like the old school vibe there. Also, it was packed when we went on 12⁄26. good for them!!!

Talk about a *Diamond in the Rough* The Diamond being The Steakhouse of course & the Rough? Well that’s obviously Circus Circus(sorry CC fans). A diamond in every way… As soon as you walk in, you’re transported to a different land than the circus circus Resort. Been going here since I was a little girl & it’s never anything short of spectacular. I’ve always said that it has to be the most underrated & unknown spot in Vegas. Most people do not believe me when I say that this is the must-go-to dinner in Vegas, but they’re never sorry and always grateful for the suggestion. My go to’a are a delicious New York steak & their fat open face crab legs. Yum yum and more yum. But believe me when I say, you cannot go wrong here.

Excellent place for a nice intimate dinner. The steaks and chops are out of this world. Lamb was fantastic. Our server, Chae, was outstanding. Highly recommended.

Ate here while staying at the Circus Circus hotel. Mitch, our waiter, was both very knowledgable and helpful. The food was on par with a restaurant of this stature, but I will admit I’ve had nearly as good of a prime rib at other less expensive restaurants like Texas Roadhouse. The real value in this place is the fact that it isn’t ala carte like so many restaurants in this category. My bake potato came with a heaping side of bacon, butter, sour cream, and chives which was plenty more than I needed. My only real gripe is that their appetizers were seafood only which I did not care for. If you are staying at the circus circus there is a coupon for a free bottle of wine at this restaurant, but keep in mind the bottle they give you with this coupon retails for $ 5.39 at a wine store, but hey it’s free. Overall a nice steak restaurant worth going to on the strip if you have never been.

This has always been our go-to for steaks when we are in Vegas. Anyone who vacays in Vegas knows this place has the best steaks on the strip. I agree with other posters that the parking is horrid and this casino is not the safest place to be on the strip. We had a long, scary walk from the parking garage to the restaurant. Once we arrived, the staff was so nice and immediately acknowledged our 25th wedding anniversary. We have eaten here many times and have always had stellar service. Not this time… not horrible service but certainly not what we have experienced in the past. Hubby and I both ordered filets and I ordered a lobster tail(I always get the same thing when I eat here). Our salads were good but the dressing on mine was so heavily laden with vinegar that I could not eat it. I even asked for blue cheese dressing to add to my salad in the hopes I could salvage it but that was also a fail. My husband was fine with his salad and he enjoyed his steak which was prepared correctly. Mine was not prepared as I requested but I did not send it back(I should have). The lobster tail was the real problem. I noticed when the waiter pulled it from the shell to serve it to me that it looked very tough and charred(the restaurant is very dark so it was hard to see). I took a bite and could barely chew it. Bottomline, it should not have left the kitchen and should have never been served. I sent it back and they brought another. It was prepared correctly but lacked flavor. I don’t think it was fresh at all. For the price of this meal, I should have sent my entire meal back but I didn’t because I did not want my husband to have to wait on me. Kudos to the front of the house host for coming to the table and apologizing and they did end up removing the lobster tail from our bill. The restaurant did insist that we take a dessert with us(chocolate mousse torte which was delicious) on the house BUT as a result of this experience, we will probably try other steakhouses the next time we visit Vegas. This was a huge disappointment for us because we always eat here and look forward to it. This was suppose to be our dinner to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Our visit this time was memorable for all the wrong reasons.

The AC was broken in a section the night in mid August 2015 we were here. Why did they seat is in that section? It was really difficult to enjoy anything in that stifling environment but I can say with clarity– their steaks are amazing. Great cuts and grilled to perfection. I will give them another shot when I’m next in LV.

Five stars on account that my expectations were set very low going into this. The circus circus is well, a circus, however you will be pleasantly impressed by the gem it holds within, this place is dark and quiet and has incredible mesquite grilled steaks, I enjoyed every bite of my New York steak and would definitely try and visit next time. Thank you for your excellent food and service, and to those who think this place is not worth the money, nothing worthwhile in Vegas is cheap, and cheap things aren’t good.

This place is always very highly rated so we decided to give it a try. I would say the meal was good but the process to get there was a nightmare. The restaurant is the only good thing going for Circus Circus. First of all, the parking situation was awful. The place was packed with tons of families and kids. We were stuck in a very long line for a quite awhile even to get into the parking garage. They had one entrance blocked off for no apparent reason. Handicap parking and valet were both full. And we asked one of the attendants were the handicap parking was and he was very rude to us. So we finally parked and then had to make our way into Circus Circus. There are kids and parents everywhere. The ceiling is low, the place smells awful, the gambling sucks. I definitely never need to go back to Circus Circus ever. So we finally get into the Steakhouse. We did get a nice table right by the grill area so we could watch what was going on. The inside of the place is very traditional steakhouse with wood walls, dark furniture and quiet. I had the filet mingon with double asparagus instead of potato. It was nicely cooked. Good flavor, tender. Asparagus was good too when I don’t even really like it. My mom had the lamb chops. It was a huge portion. She took half of it home. She liked her baked potato. They give you lots of toppings for it. So I would say this was a good steak place but not great. I have had much better in Vegas at other restaurants. And the process to get there sucked. Never again.

One of the best steaks you can get in Vegas. Excellent looking restaurant. We received a coupon for a Free bottle of wine with our stay at Circus Circus. The staff was very friendly and funny. Had a great time and definitely will eat there again.

Absolutely hands down the best steak I have ever had. Melt in your mouth good! I ordered the petite filet mignon served with mashed potatoes and house salad… All for 60 $ !! Best deal and best food in Vegas! Wonderful atmosphere! Old Vegas feel… Also when you walk in the smell is down right divine! Ask for Alfredo– he was wonderful and paid attention to detail!
