The Red Rooster

We went here for the Halloween party. All of all the nights to go, we figured this would be the best one. Just out of curiosity to see it. It was crazy packed. We paid the $ 30 «donation» to enter as a couple and brought our own 6-​pack of beer. (It’s BYOB and you hand it over to the bartender.) Thankfully, I had read up on the website. Otherwise, we would’ve known absolutely nothing. Upon entering, we were not told a single thing. Nothing about the alcohol. Nothing about the rules. The rules are clearly stated on the wall — «no means no». And my assumption going in was that it was «safe» and consent was a must. But in making our way through the massive crowd to the bar, I experienced lots of unwarranted and un-​asked for touching. It was extremely rude and a major no-​no. Perhaps this was just because it was so crowded and probably full of non-​regulars? But I also blame «management» for not telling people anything upon walking in. I don’t care what kind of place it is, you need to respect personal space and ask for consent. I was livid. And we left almost immediately. Complete waste of money and no fun was even slightly had. This is not a place that puts safety and consent first. Methinks not indeed. Never ever ever ever again.

Have been here three different times over 8 years and have had the myriad of experiences. Was lucky enough to come here with a couple and be their third, which was not surprisingly the best time.
Coming as a single man, one time I was welcomed and had some nice conversations if not any physical fun.
The 2^nd time was leered at and made to feel like a troll for being a single guy. I always make every effort to be respectful and I understand as a single man I am one of many looking for a precious few. It did not seem to matter how I carried myself on this trip, folks were pretty much rude and dismissive.
The times I did not have any sex myself there were plenty of couples putting on shows, so it was still a damn fine time.
The place itself is not bad at all. No, it’s not a swanky club on the strip. It does have that old school «Boogie Nights» vibe and I kind of like that about the place. If you want a hyped up club, keep looking.
For the most part, be respectful and the folks will be cool right back.

I’ve been under a lot of stress lately. For the life of me, I cannot write a review. I can eat! I have no problems doing that. I can spend money! I even take pictures. But when it’s time to write that proverbial review, I can’t do it! I’m just staring at a blank screen, no inspiration.

Anyways… I’m looking to the past for some inspiration here. Think 2010… ah yes… what a fcuked up time of my life. Here I was, viva Las Vegas, with my smoking hot Abercrombie and Fitch boyfriend (who was an absolute whore-​slut, if ever there was one), I’ve got a couple of bennys to burn, and had one too many drinks. We just had an amazing date the night before, we ate at L’Atelier de Robuchon, saw Zumanity, then topped it off with a night of drunk debauchery at NYNY, his favorite hotel.
So, this day was his turn… he says, «Lets go to Red Rooster.»
«What’s that?» I asked. LOL.
Now, I’m not a swinger, not even close. Actually, the majority of our fights were about dubious weekends he spent without me, as somewho’s penthouse, somewhere… but there was always the option that if I ever wanted to get funky, he had the connects. WTF???
So fcuk it, we’re in Vegas, having the time of our fcking life, in what was arguably the most stressful, miserable year of my life. Let’s see what these clubs are all about… What I didn’t expect was the owner, Mike, to be on a first name basis with the ex. WTF??? There’s a reason he’s the ex, you can guess why.
The whole place is yucky and gross. Oh. oh…oh… we’re in a swingers club, big whoop. It’s a bunch of people standing around, some half naked, with dubious areas of varying stickiness. Think dive bar meets 70’s porn ranch. Yeah… it’s not pretty. I will admit, some people were dashingly good looking, my ex was hot, I’m decent, there was some smoking hot Russian chick. But I’d say the majority of the people look like they’re shopping at Walmart.
We saw some sex here and there… but I was more embarrassed than anything, nothing I wanted to remotely get involved in. There were a lot lookie lous, like us. I’m not a steam pot of sex, so halfway through the night, I turned to my ex and ask, «Does that excite you?» And he said, «fcuk no.» Coming from a guy who could get turned on looking at a naked orangutan, that’s saying a lot. So… if you’re looking to get laid by a bunch of sexy people, don’t get your hopes up.
I still remember what I told him on the way back to the car, «It’s like hell for people who didn’t kill anyone.» LOL.

Great original classic swing club… have always had a great time, always a different experience. This is the real deal and has been for decades.

This place sucks! If you go, make sure to check out their special events first. You don’t want the same experience we had… Travel 20 minutes each way just to find out they had a naked and naughty party. The place is a residential area, that alone makes it creepy. We walked in and the first thing we see is a butt naked fat ass man with his small hairy junk hanging. Then some old dude (80’sh) told us rudely «you do know about our dress code right!». Their website says «dress to impress» so we said yes. He continue saying rudely «you need to be in lingerie and he needs to be naked or else you can’t be here!» We kinda laughed a little thinking it was a joke. He say «I am serious, you need to take off your clothes!». Then he explained about the special event. Whatever… We walked out, but not before noticing that people there were pretty old (45 – 55) and not very good looking. The men to women ratio was about 3:1, the DJ was playing porn grooves instead of regular club music, and the whole atmosphere had a «Eyes wide shut» vibe instead of a friendly club feel. We have attended great swing clubs in California, this place is definitely better the the other famous swing club in Vegas, but make sure to lower your standards before going. It’s more of a creepy place where old fat perv men like to hang out!!!

This place was packed for a «MAMMORIAL» day weekend! Mostly couples in their thirties and forties. Real throwback décor which actually gives it a little charm. Weird to see a bunch of old guys walking around in a towel having just hung out in the jacuzzi.
Bartenders were cheerful and accommodating. The playroom upstairs is big and there was a generally cool vibe flowing throughout the place. No drama and a bunch of adult indulging in whatever they wanted to do.

Wow, what a fun place! I went here this past Saturday and had a great time!
I paid and got in. Once there I did feel a bit awkward for a bit but I asked for a tour. I was shown around so then I knew the lay of the land. I got to talk to some nice people and watched some couples have fun on the dance floor.
The décor of the place is dated but the people there more than make up for it. This place is worth a visit!

I’m giving the Red Rooster four stars based on how friendly the staff was and how cool the property is. If I was giving stars based on the customers in attendance I would probably have to give just one star sadly. We went on a Sunday night and it was pretty slow.
It’s a cool place. very outdated but I think that’s part of the fun. The pool and hot tub (which I would never put more than my feet into) was really pretty and had nice lighting. The place is extremely close to a liquor store when you run dry which is always a good thing when trying to get your beer goggles as foggy as possible. The parties are BYOB!
I liked the private rooms. But isn’t the idea of a swingers party to do it all out in the open? Well normally yes, but when your grandpa and 5 of his closest friends are watching it kinda makes you want to take advantage of the locked doors!
Now I’m not knocking people of any age having fun but if you’re looking for people under 45 to party with, look elsewhere.
My husband and I were not there to swing but just to watch and get some good stories. I didn’t see anyone have sex on this Sunday night but I wasn’t really on the lookout considering I wasn’t attracted to anyone there. We mostly just hung out by the pool.
One good story though. in the hot tub there was maybe 8 men and 2 women. One woman, not bad looking at all considering, was servicing the two men. Once one man was finished, after giving no warning to the woman, they all laughed and she grabbed a towel to help both of them clean up. Maybe I just don’t understand the way a swinger’s party works but neither guy thanked her or offered to do any servicing for her. they just helped her out of the hot tub and she went off to put on some clothes. Both men just sat there like nothing had happened. It was a bit odd to me.
Also two women were making out in the hot tub while a man in his 70s was standing DIRECTLY over them servicing himself under his towel. haha talk about a buzz kill.
All in all it was a fun time and worth 10 bucks each. I don’t think we will go back unless there is some kind of marketing plan to get more young people there. That would be pretty cool. like maybe one day a month where it’s advertised to a younger crowd.

Honestly the best time I have had in YEARS.
Only $ 20 a couple on a Sunday night and the atmosphere was so laid back and wonderful. Started with a tour, regulars made sure we were comfortable, gave us great advice, and staff were very accommodating. .
Chris was the bartender and whenever we walked up to the bar, the drink was ready for us.
$ 10 cab ride from Sam’s Town, (not including tip) and we have already decided we are DEFINITELY going back.
If you want a laid back night with great people try it out on Sunday. We were told that the night before for the Christmas party there was about 250 people. There were probably 40 or so the night we went.

Why spend hundreds of dollars bribing douchebag VIP hosts and currying favor with fickle tourist divas in the hopes of MAYBE scoring the proverbial happy ending? The Red Rooster is a sure bet: people come here to party and to get laid, and don’t bullshit about it. It’s a club without all the pretense and poseurs!
Run by a genial middle-​aged couple out of their sprawling private residence, the Red Rooster is just plain folks, drinking and dancing and getting frisky. Definitely not a room full of Barbies and hardbodies… but on the plus side, you won’t be judged, ridiculed or taken advantage of. People are welcoming and friendly, and you can definitely get some here, if your standards aren’t impossibly high (or even reasonably high, truth be told)!
But even if you’re not into having sex with strangers in public, this is the best entertainment deal in Vegas, hands down! The people watching is phenomenal, with reality shows, dramas and pornos playing out LIVE in every corner. The liquor policy is BYOB, but you check your bottle in at the bar, and they label it with your name and will pour you drinks all night long as you wander around in a state of sensory overload. I had a BLAST here, and I didn’t have sex with anyone or engage in anything more risqué than a little booty-​shaking on the dance floor (yes, there is a dance floor and dj spinning Top 40 hits)! The best part is, Looky-​Lous (as I admittedly was) are not frowned upon, and it’s prefectly cool to just have a drink and kick back and enjoy the show.
If you do want to participate, though, there are ample opportunities and extensive facilities — a couples-​only area upstairs, and an orgy room, indoor pool area, and myriad cozy little fuck-​worthy nooks & crannies downstairs.
Definitely not for the shy or faint of heart… but if you’re into a different kind of experience that takes the idea of recreation to the next level, try it out!

Best swingers club in Vegas and it has been around for something like a kazillion years (i.e., 1980). Mike and Chris are the married couple that run the place and they are very nice and very helpful if you have any questions. I’ve visited several times and the people are always an eclectic mix of young and old, fat and skinny and everything in between. Fabulous people watching at the very least (worth the price of admission alone), but of course you can take your entertainment as far as you like in this place as long as you find a consenting partner, which doesn’t appear to be too difficult because the ladies and gents that frequent this place are open, friendly and easy to talk to. Check it out for a unique night on the town that you will never forget!
