The Hallowrock Half Marathon/10K/5K

Great way to start Halloween! Aid stations throughout the course had candy, and costumes were encouraged. Choice of three distances, but I did the 5K. The timing by Jus Run is incredible: you can go right from the finish line to a laptop station and look up your exact time, or they can text it to you (also instantaneous!).
Course was the Western Beltway Trail behind Pkwy Tavern, who had food and drink specials for participants– including $ 1 for your first beer. Did not partake but it was a cool offer for those who do.
I thought it was awesome that portable bathrooms were provided along the trail (for 10K and half distances) and at the start/​finish, specifically PortaJanes, which have sinks and flush! I’m a nervous pee-​er (like a Chihuahua) and really appreciated this.
