The Bagel Cafe

Food is excellent. If you need an idea for lunch try the tuna sandwich. The potato pan cakes were fabulous.
I ordered a hamburger with cheese got home and no cheese on the burger. Really??? I called the they said they were sorry.

This is a great deli! It’s authentic! The servers are friendly and the service fast.
Had the matzo ball soup bowl and there was enough to take home since it was so hearty and filing. The bagels are delicious and the blueberry spread was yummy.

My husband is from New York and knows his bagels– so I was definitely happy to hear that this is the closest to a New York bagel he has ever had on the West Coast. My husband likes simplicity so you definitely can’t go wrong with a plain, toasted bagel and cream cheese. Personally I’m a fan of their Sundried Tomato and basil bagel with Nova Lox. MMM Mmmm!
They pack on the cheese in the familiar NYC deli style. They also have a bakery reminiscent of Italian bakeshops in Little Italy. I have yet to try their sit down café but am definitely excited to come back because I doubt there will be any disappointment.
Side note– the service definitely reminded me of authentic NY style quick dining which I appreciated. It’s a «KNOW WHAT YOU WANT BEFORE YOU GET TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE BC WE GOT LINES OF CUSTOMERS» type attitude which I can dig.
