Dermatherapy is amazing. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Andrea Fong and Brenda for all their work in helping to minimize the hyperpigmentation on my face.
I am a 56-​year old Chinese woman who went to see a dermatologist 3 years ago when I started to notice the darkness in the skin over my lip. That particular doctor prescribed 4% hydroquinone and sent me home. I was very religious in applying this cream, but after a year there was no change at all.
I then went to my OBGyn’s skin clinic where they talked me into buying their expensive skin cream promising it would help. I tried it for 6 months, but it didn’t make any real difference at all.
The skin over my lip was so dark, it looked like a mustache. I was so embarrassed. Then started to notice the dark spots on my cheeks and next to my eyes. I tried a variety of cosmetic cover-​ups with very little success.
Dr. Fong explained to me that my skin condition is the result of several things. I did not use sunscreen during my younger years and I didn’t use any on my face even though I made a point of wearing a hat when I went out in the sun. I am also experiencing hormonal changes due to my age. Dr. Fong recommended a solution: spectra laser treatments, but explained that it would take several applications. After the first two treatments, I could see an improvement which prompted me to sign up for more. It’s been over a year now and I’m so happy with the results.

I’ve been wanting to do something about my freckles and skin discoloration (hyper-​pigmentation) for quite some time, but was always befuddled by the variety of service providers in Las Vegas. Yesterday, I bit the bullet and called here. I was amazed! I got a same day appointment for a consultation (which I suspect was luck and a little bit of fate). It was a $ 25 consult fee which eventually went towards my treatment. Yup, I booked on the spot.
I was nervous and showed up almost a half an hour early. I got right in (which, again, I suspect was luck and a little bit of fate, but hey, I’ll take it!!). I spoke with Dr. Fong who was knowledgeable, thoughtful and very informative. She was able to give me great insight on Asian skin and a fair assessment of what the success of the treatments would be for me. I decided on the the Lutronic Spectra treatments for melasma. They have a membership: $ 150 auto-​billed or withdrawn monthly and I can book a treatment anytime there is an availability throughout the month. If I want an extra treatment during the month, it’s another $ 150 charged per treatment. I don’t have extensive pricing info for around town, but I plunged right in. Another amazing thing. I got my first treatment right then and there. There just happened to be an opening and they were great squeezing me in. Could they tell I would have probably changed my mind if I would have had to come back? (I am a commitment-​phobe!)
It seems the stars lined up for me yesterday and I was lucky enough to get a same day appointment, a great consult, and same day treatment. I’m glad it worked out this way because if there had been any «waiting,» I probably would have chickened out!
The treatment itself was startling. I didn’t know what to expect and it was more uncomfortable than I anticipated, but I will tell you — It was NOT bad. I didn’t expect any pain at all, so the little discomfort there was shocked me, but I quickly recovered and rallied. The technician told me to let her know if it was too much and the entire treatment took a half and hour. That was with the 10 minute wait after the carbon was applied. I was advised I probably wouldn’t start to see dramatic results until about six treatments in and then it would require maintenance. I’ll keep you guys posted on how it does.
Overall, I was very pleased with my experience here and will definitely be looking into other services there (they do eyelash extension!). After my negative experience at Cherry Lash Lounge, I will be trying lash extensions here next. Dr. Fong and the staff were down to earth, friendly and appeared very competent.
Three days after my first treatment. Is it just me or can I already tell a difference??? Amazing, after one treatment, my skin looks better. Can’t wait for the next appointment!
The only suggestion to make this better is to introduce on line booking for regular clients.

I see both Dr MacLeod and Dr Fong. I get appointments quickly and they are both very thorough and thoughtful. It’s more of a boutique practice — they don’t take insurance so it’s cash but considering the long waits for dermatologists, it is worth it to me. This is a terrific office.

I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Fong and her staff. From my first conversation with Mitzy (Dr. Fong’s front office) — I felt welcomed. This is an organized office that cares about their patients. I traveled from out of state to visit my parents and wanted to coordinate my consultation and treatment in one visit. Mitzy helped me make that happen. Dr. Fong is caring and lovely! She made the appropriate recommendations of treatment and products (without being pushy) and then I saw Brenda for my treatment. It was a great experience, my skin is absolutely glowing and I will be back. I cannot recommend Dr. Fong and her staff enough.

WARNING: DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER!!! First off let me say that it saddens me to have to give this review. Let me just say I started out loving this place. I heard of Dr. Fong because Simplicity Laser was in the same office. I tried fillers (juvederm) a couple of times and I was very satisfied. The last time I had fillers from her I asked to come back in a few weeks later to see how things were going with my treatments and she told me that I couldn’t book an appointment with her unless I got a treatment. So that was a big turn off to and I never went back to see her, this was in February 2015. I was also getting IPL treatments (removal of freckles and skin discoloration) from Brenda and she was GREAT! So now it’s August and I wanted another IPL treatment from Brenda so I called and booked an appointment and the girl who answered told me that they had a new policy I place since April that required a credit card and charged $ 50 immediately to hold your appointment but that the money would go towards the service. I am very weary of doctors that have these practices and don’t really like to give my credit card number over the phone but she assured me that everything was ok. Then she told me that the cost would be $ 200 for one treatment or $ 500 for three treatments. I told her that I had bought a package before and had multiple treatments so I was told that I wouldn’t have to pay full price for additional treatments. She went back to talk to Brenda and came back and told me that the prices had gone up and that now it was $ 250 per treatment or 600 for a package of three. So Brenda said that I only had to pay $ 200per treatment and the $ 50 they charged on my card would go towards my service. I don’t know why I proceeded but I guess it was because Brenda’s services were so good. Anyway, I had to reschedule a day before but then Brenda went on vacation so I couldn’t get back in for another week. When I finally went in they charged me $ 200 for my appointment and when I told Mitzi about the $ 50 they had already charged to my card and that I had already bought a package so I didn’t pay full price for treatments she gave me 3 different excuses as to why they were not going to put the $ 50 towards my appointment. 1 was that I missed an appointment with Dr. Fong in Feb. the next was because I didn’t reschedule within the 24 hour time period. And the third was that it was $ 250 for the treatments now. I was stunned. If I had known they were going to deceive me by not putting the money they charged towards my service, I may have still gone back because of Brenda however, the deception was left me in shock! I was thinking about disputing the charge but I figured if they really need $ 50 that bad then I’d be happy to spend my money at another med spa. Let me just say the customer service and the attention to detail and «No Lines By Design» is amazing and I don’t mind spending my money there. They not only check up on their work a couple of weeks later, they will also add fillers if necessary. They are happy to do the right thing! The $ 50 wasn’t really the issue it was the principal of matter. I am in no way cheap but I don’t like being lied to. Mitzi enjoyed telling me about the money not going toward my service and gave the most horrible customer service that I have ever experienced in a professional environment! Please beware of this place and do not give them your card number!

Dr Macleod is a wonderful doctor and his staff is great. The entire office is pleasant and the doctor truly cares about you. Excellent dermatology office in Summerlin, I highly recommend. Very simple scheduling, no insurance hassles.

I have been gping to Dermatherapy for many years and had serveral wonderful treatments botox, etc. Dr. Fong is amazing she takes expert care and listens to all your concerns snd needs I have alwwys had. great cosmetic results. The staff are wonderful too so friendly and accommodating. Its fantastic to have such a professioal Dr. Who cares about you as her patient. And of course Dr. McCloed. He is the best ever with his knowledge of skin care and skin cancer checkups He is the best in Las Vegas both he and Dr. Fong. They also have an excellent skin care line of high quality products.

I went in to see about getting some fine and deep lines removed from my upper lip. They were leaving marks in my foundation and I felt like they stood out. I was hesitant because I didn’t want to look like Farrah Abraham!!! I didn’t want to alter my appearance at all. I wasn’t looking to have a new look or fuller lips. I just wanted to soften the lines. I saw Dr Fong. She understood my hesitation and did such a great job. She only used a half of a vial of Restalyn Silk. I went back again a few months later to have her fix another line! I’m so please with the results! The swelling isn’t bad at all. No one even notices that I’ve had anything done, they just compliment my makeup or my lipstick color now. Just what I wanted :-)

Im a huge fan of Dr Fong and her husband Dr Macleod who practices Dermatology. Dr Macleod was so caring and wonderfully engaging with my daughter when she needed to have something cryogenically removed. His bed side manner was second to none. In fact she had been to two other dermatologists for the same thing. He was the only one who took the time to explain what would happen and what we needed to look for and do. Surprise, surprise it was the last visit she needed and the problem was resolved. Easy, friendly and reasonable. Love him.
Dr. Fong is my absolute favorite for injectables, she is meticulous, artistic and extraordinary when it comes to creating beautiful results. Her numbing crème is the BEST. So important when having these types of procedures. She uses tiny needles so small I didn’t even feel the injections around or on my forehead. She uses Sculptra like a sculptor asking if you want a strawberry, oval or more square jawline. She showed me pictures and asked what type of look I preferred. Lifting, tightening and sculpting she is the BEST a true artist!

Dr Fong suggested Botox for my embarrassing perspiration/​underarm odor. Not even clinical strength deodorant was working. Was painless and very pleased with results!
