Thanks to the review by Jim B. for finding Manny from Town and Country Barber Shop. My husband Ray had also been searching for him. Manny is his favorite barber. The other barbers look friendly and the shop feels comfortable. He will definitely be coming back.

Moving from the SW Vegas area to NW Vegas(Providence) I needed to find a good place for my hair cuts. I’m real particular about this as are some other guys. My only reservation about barber shops is that they tend to cut hair and make it always look like you went in for a military style cut. Also, my other reservation about beauty shops is that they don’t know how to fade well. Rio Vista Barber was right in that sweet spot and I’m happy I went! I called in to see if I had to make an appointment and Ed had told me I can but they also take walk-ins. This was nice as some of the places I considered were always booked and my mop needed a chop! Upon arriving I was greeted very quickly and I was sitting in a chair for my cut in no time! Ed listened carefully and also asked me some questions to clarify. He was very personable. We talked about our families and even politics(which I try to avoid with newly met people). I really love that old school barber mentality. This is definitely a place where a guy can feel pampered, in a guy kind of way. After some good conversation and watching some golf Ed turned me around and showed me my new doo. It was perfect! He took a lot of time on my fade which I really like. And, the top was trimmed but not to short that I couldn’t comb it over. I’m now ready to attend my trade show next week! Ed’s professional manner, personable conversations, and expert technique has just earned Rio Vista Barbers a client for the long run. Thanks so much!

I finally found Manny from Town and Country Barber Shop. I lost contact with him a couple years ago. I’ve been searching for him many others, I’m sure and found him working at Rio Vista! Rio Vista is a great Barber Shop with friendly staff and great products to buy, if you like. Not to mention, the best high and tight in town from Manny!

Randy has been my barber for over five years. He always remembers how I like my hair cut. He’s very consistent. With his move to Rio Vista Barber shop, he’s a bit farther away from me, but worth the trip. If you call ahead you can get your name on the list and have virtually no wait upon arrival. He’s quick and professional and cordial. From listening to the other guys cutting hair in there, you know that they’ve been together for awhile. Feels like family in there. An excellent no nonsense barber shop.

Rio Vista Barber shop is an excellent barber shop. This is an old school experience that a lot of young people don’t know about. My barber is Randy and I found him about 3 months ago. He was at another shop and when I called they told me he left. I tracked him down and even though Rio Vista is further from my house I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Randy is s true professional and I get the best hair cuts I have had in years.

4.5 out of 5. Ed was my barber for this visit. He was cordial, professional and actually took the time to LISTEN on what kind of hair cut I wanted. I requested a skin low fade. And a skin low fade he did. He finished my cut with a straight razor in the back and on the sides-this includes a clean hot towel to finish. All this for less than $ 20 bucks(tip not included). It’s spring gentlemen: get your barbered haircut.

Excellent barber shop refreshing to see the art being preserved. Ed was my barber, very friendly and took the time to do it right. Great cut! You will not get this kind of service at at a Supercuts or Great Clips, just not the same…

These gentlemen are amazing. My son loves barber shops and when we moved I was worried I would have a hard time finding a new place. This place is perfect and my son came home very happy with his haircut.

Although this place has the friendliest staff I’ve encountered at a barber shop, the cut I received was short of okay! Great friendly atmosphere and some funny barbers to chat with. Unfortunately, I do not see myself returning due to a not so nice haircut and a price that shocked me when I reached the register to pay.

What ever happened to no-nonsense barber shops? Thanks to a little Unilocal from my friends, I found this spot for a quick haircut on my way to work. Simple old-school spot. Nothing fancy. Just a few old guys giving straight up hair cuts for a reasonable price. What I liked the most is that they still break out a little hot shaving cream and the straight razor to clean up the neck and edges. Then a little hot towel, and off you go! Gotta love preservation of the art!

I have been getting my hair cut here for 12 years. It’s super basic. They have had some Barber turn over — over the years, but they are reliable. I pretty much say — «a one and a half on the sides blended… a little off the top and tapered in the back.» Then they cut my hair. They still use a straight edge here, too.
