Coming from a city with both Lyft and Über, I was super disappointed to hear that Vegas doesn’t have either of these(yet). But I heard they *do* have their own ride-share app — so that’s promising, right? Wrong. The app is downright janky. It’s not intuitive and it’s buggy. The app is supposed to give you four ride choices(taxi, sedan, suv, or limo) and it’s supposed to give you a price estimate. While at the airport, I selected sedan(bc taxi wasn’t available), and I could clearly see an available sedan at the airport. But after 10 minutes of trying(unsuccessfully), I switched to suv. Same thing. Finally, I got a limo. As soon as it said confirmed, I got a message to call my driver. Ummm… Isn’t that the point of a ride-share app — to not have to call somebody? And there was no price estimate either. I gave the driver a call and after several confused minutes of conversation, she finally understood I wanted a price estimate. She said it’d be $ 69. Everything online said a regular taxi would cost about $ 20 to the strip, so there was no way I was paying $ 70! Such a frustrating experience.
