Raspados Los Pinguinos

Unilocal 365 CHALLENGE 2014−(305÷365) «Mexican Shave Ice»
Raspados are essentially Mexican style shaved ice with various fruit toppings. We came across this vendor while scoping out a torta spot in the area which had already closed. It was pretty warm, so we decided to check them out.
The Raspados come in two sizes, Medium ($ 4) and Large ($ 5) and an array of flavors:
Vainilla, Fresa, Mango, Rompope, Coco, Limon. Platano, Ciruela, Pica Pica, Guayaba, Chamoyada, Pina, Tamarindo, Cajeta, Nuez, and Chamoy-​Mango. Lechera (Condensed Milk) is an additional 50 cents.
Aside from Raspados, they also offer antojitos (little snacks) like chips, churros, and corn. We shared a medium strawberry raspado with condensed milk which was okay.
This is not in the best part of town either, so if you’re looking to try something similar, Places like Cardenas, La Flor De Michoacan, La Bonita, and Mariana’s offer the same stuff. ALOHA!!!
