As far as casino-level dining goes in Vegas, Public House is totally serviceable, but the wine list here kicks it up an extra star. Food is quasi-pub style, with things like bone marrow, burgers, and poutine. Everything was really stick-to-your-ribs heavy, which is sometimes called for after a heavy night of Vegas-ing. Service is friendly. We were greeted heartily at the door, and the bartender was really nice. Beer and tap list are what you would expect, and is about par with other comparable restaurants. But as I hinted at early in my review, the wine list is a surprise and worth checking out. Someone with knowledge and an eye for value is running the wine show, because the list is filled with bottles that are exciting, hard to find, and are priced right in that Vegas sweet spot of $ 50-$ 70. That’s the pricing range where values tend to hide(less than that, and you’re usually looking at a 4x markup for a $ 10 wine), and there were many to be had here. I was particularly impressed with the Pacific Northwest presence on the list. Thumbs up! It’s an unlikely place to find a thoughtful wine list, but there you have it. Vegas is full of surprises!

We were seeing a show in the Sands Theater and decided to check out a place in restaurant row. It’s easy to find between the Venetian and Palazzo. Public House has a fun gastropub setting that provides an eclectic menu. The atmosphere is fun. The décor is a great mix of modern with rustic. There is a large dining area with the wine ‘shelter’ along the back wall. Our waitress, Shaina, could have been a little more attentive. She was very much absent in the majority of our dining experience. I believe that other employees visited our table more than she did. I also noticed her enjoying visiting with her coworkers rather than waiting on her tables. That’s unfortunate. We chose to split an appetizer of beer brined chicken wings and the prime rib french dip. The chicken wings had a unique and different flare of glaze. They used a calabrian chili glaze with a house made bleu cheese dressing. These were good and much different than the usual buffalo chicken wings I’m used to everywhere else. The wings were good size, juicy and flavorful. The Prime Rib French Dip sandwich was also an item I would order again. It was your normal french dip but they also added firecracker onion straws on top. Delicious. The bread was fresh with the wonderful flavors of the horseradish sauce and au jus. The accompanied french fries could have been cooked a little longer. They were somewhat on the soggy side. Not bad but I would ask them to cook them longer next time. With hopes of better service, I would come back again. They have a great list of menu items I would love to try!

The management team reached out to me regarding my previous review and they have completely redeemed themselves! I really appreciate when management truly cares about how they treat their customers and their experience and take the right steps to make it right again. They asked for us to come back and ensured that they would give us a better experience and they definitely delivered! I couldn’t be in Vegas, but my husband was there this past weekend with some friends and got his dinner and drinks comped and they even gave him a private room. He said the service, food, drinks, and overall experience was fantastic! We will definitely be going back to Public House next time we’re in Vegas! Thank you David for this experience!

You cant eat anything at 1030pm on a Saturday here. You need to order an entrée to unlock the free Unilocal offer but you can’t order entrees at 1030pm on The Strip in Vegas. Luckily the Grand Lux was gracious enough to take our business… complete with a few rounds of cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. Disappointing customer service Public House.

Amazing medium well done steak(Filet Mignon) with stuffed crab. I haven’t had steak for some time and I was impressed with the quality, texture, and tenderness of the meat. Definitely coming back next time in in Las Vegas.

Pretty good little gastropub. I’m a fan of their lobster mac & cheese, short ribs, and the poutine fries. Also your first check in gets you a free beer, so that’s cool too.

Late posting… my last day in vegas. shopping n looking for a place to hav lunch. researched on Unilocal n found this place. hostess was nice n got me a table right away. modern n cool interior. i ordered the steak tartare. tenderloin, shallots, capers, beer-mustard, with a poached egg on top n comes with grilled bread… i got a boiled egg instead of poached. still ate it tho lol! Tartare itself was yummy. I also tried the lobster roll… big chunks of lobster inside toasted brioche with butter lettuce n herbed coleslaw on the side, comes with large cut fries… i ate everything!!! All delicious. I noticed in the back there was a glass room filled with stacks of wine… it said on the glass door. wine shelter. emergency drinking only.lol.i asked the server if it would b ok to take a pic in there. she said sure! She took a pic of me in it like i was locked in lol! Awesome food n service!

This is a have to stop when I’m in Vegas. I’ve ate in the restaurant once, but the bar is where I like to hang out. The bartenders are always engaging and accommodating. They have a very good beer selection on tap, as well as bottled. They can even make you a Bloody Mary with bacon, jalapeño, and cilantro infused vodka. One of the bartenders infuses it himself. It also comes with a shrimp on steroids hanging on the rim of the glass. It was that big. Every menu selection I’ve had here has been great. The huge burger, pork belly sandwich, and French dip are a few of my go to’s. A great appetizer or side is the poutine. Yes, poutine. You don’t find that yummy Canadian dish at many places in the States, but they do it up well. I know this is a place on the strip in restaurant row between the Palazzo and Venetian, but I do think they could bring down the price on their beers though. Anywho, that won’t stop me from returning.

Great good, awesome beer selection, and bartenders who know their brews! Frank and Ryan took good care of us… Short ribs and burger were devoured in minutes, and the hopped up beer flight with a Evil Twin for dessert to go was epic. Fun bar! Also, check in on Unilocal for a free beer!

Was craving a good burger and the Pub Burger absolutely hit the spot. The huge perfectly cooked patty was full of flavor and the buns fresh and soft. The fries were awesome too. Burger paired with the Hop Trip beer flight was magical. My friends had the Ribeye and the Filet Mignon with Crab(the special of the night) and everyone licked their plates clean(friend had the filet mignon well done but it was the most tender well done steak I have ever tasted). The server was super cool and quick to deliver our drinks and food. Great food, great beer, great service. Can’t wait to be back!

Friendly staff. My boyfriend and I walked in and greeted immediately. We had multiple options to sit in the lounge, dining area, or the bar. The lounge area is great for appetizers and drinks. We sat in a booth in a dining room. They have very nice décor. I ended up ordering the French dip for lunch. It was a good size sandwich I couldn’t even finish it. I would just wish the au jus would have now flavor but still very good. The season on the French fries are completely addicting I couldn’t stop once I started. I had a bite of my boyfriends meatball sandwich and it was soooo good highly recommend. The service was fast, polite, and very attentive. This is a decent priced restaurant compared to what kind of casino it is.

Best poutine with duck confit! Delicious pub burger and short ribs; can’t go wrong with those! And the beer list is impressive. The only issue is that they nickel and dime you. The waiter asked if I’d like fries, onion rings, or poutine with my burger. I said poutine. Boom! My $ 19 burger turned into a $ 26 burger. He also tried getting me to add avocado or bacon. Just beware of that. Also, we had a Unilocal coupon for a free draft. This does NOT mean whatever beer you order will be free. The free draft is a shitty Miller Lite. None of this was communicated to us. If it had, no big deal.

Dined at a lot of great restaurants on this trek and was in the moment with each of them except Public House. Looking for a lunch location on property n off the clanking roar of Venetian floor and came upon a few restaurants. Public House was open(when most didn’t open until 5) and in we went! The décor was inviting with a long classy bar front and center leading the way. Grabbed a table towards the back. Aahh. The menu had some pretty unique offerings. From salads to Caviar to lamb ++. I order charred octopus(it was ok, but wouldn’t order again) and popped a few stolen scrumptious Brussels sprouts from my table mates. Our server was a soup nazi. Cranky, slow and definitely not happy to be there. My table mates were able to have a side salad with their meal. However It was strictly forbidden for me to order a side salad period — «NOSALADFORYOU»(nor explanation, exception, nada). That set the tone for the remainder of our experience. Sad given the place was pretty empty with exception of a handful bellied up to the bar in the other room. What I thought was fantastic. And this may be a first — were the restrooms… Pretty clever and proved to be more memorable then the staff and meal. Vegas is a food Mecca and there are way too many other joints to partake in vs what we experienced at Public House.(Unless you’re just looking for a place to take a memorable leak)

Great menu selection, drinks are good! Las Vegas was a little bit more expensive than I originally thought, but I came here with my mom and her friend early evening, and we got such quality drinks and food for a completely insane price! They had a $ 5 app and drink special going on, and I was plenty full sharing 3 between the three of us. Their selection of the $ 5 items weren’t cruddy either. The sangria there is incredible, for only $ 5. The portion sizes for the appetizers weren’t fatty sizes either, so you can sample more of the selection, shall you please. The staff were super friendly, too! We sat at the bar, and had Boso as our bartender. He was awesome! It was my mom’s bday, so she got a free drink; she ordered a bloody. My mom likes them spicy, so the bartender made a healthy pour of a house made spicy, infused liquor for my mom’s bloody. The great service continued: I know bread is such a simple thing, but they do make really great bread here! I don’t eat bread all that often, but I liked it so much, that they brought a whole other plate, complimentary. In the end, they surprised my mom with a beautiful plate of ice cream and a candle, with«Happy Birthday» written nicely in chocolate syrup. The atmosphere was really nice and tasteful, too. They were playing sports on the TV, if you like that type of thing, and the waitresses uniforms are really cute.

We ate at the bar. The Bartender was nice, service was fine, drinks were good, and food was decent… but the pricing for the food vs. The quality of the food was not great… even for the strip. The food was standard bar food. I would have preferred to pay a little bit more and gotten a much better meal at a different place. We’d go back for drinks, but I wouldn’t eat here.

We popped in here for drinks before dinner at B and B. It was pretty cool scrolling the menu on an Ipad, although a little confusing. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful with our questions. We both ordered a specialty beverage and found them to be quite tasty and only mildly rapey on price. I really liked the atmosphere there and our table at the bar allowed us to people watch, my favourite Vegas past-time.

Be careful for Shaina she may leave you in paina. Father and I got a few standard mixed drinks(tequila + grapefruit drink & Mexican coffee). According to their menu, mixed drinks should be priced between $ 12 — $ 14, so the $ 20 per drink we were charged was magically 43% — 66% higher than posted prices. Stay away unless you want to be taken advantage of by an establishment with ‘less than top shelf’ integrity.

We decided on this place for drinks and food before going to see Rock of Ages, it’s right there so we could leave quickly if necessary to get into the show, and they had a sign out front advertising Happy Hour specials. Happy Hour is only form 5pm-6pm. So we didn’t get much in the way of specials. I checked in on Unilocal and we got a free House Draft Beer. It was good, but normal price is $ 10/pint. I was getting Vodka & Lemonade(was cheaper during HH, had one at HH price), those are also $ 10. Weak, it was more lemonade than anything else. I know, it’s Vegas, that’s what they do, that’s why you should not get mixed drinks in Vegas. But that’s what I wanted. We also got the Poutine, it was pretty decent. Not as good as a poutine you would get in Canada. But pretty decent. We passed on the sunny side egg. Not necessary. Also split the Burger, which was very tasty, $ 19, came with fries. The burger was very, very juicy, actually caused a wardrobe malfunction for my boyfriend, but it dried enough that it didn’t ruin his shirt. Passed on the Egg for the burger too. Everyone wants to put a runny egg on top of perfectly good meals these days. It’s not always a good add-on. We spent $ 104 before tip, for some drinks, one appetizer and one entrée. It’s not cheap, but it’s in the Venetian, not Hooters. So, it is what it is. The ambiance is nice.

Came here just for beer. The selection is awesome, especially considering the lack of selection at most places on the strip I went to. The bartenders were really knowledgable, they gave really great suggestions. The prices weren’t bad either. Two downsides personally: First, the bar area was made small and gets crowded easily. Second, I wish I hadn’t come alone so I could split one of their rarer, big bottles with someone else. If I ever stay on the strip again I know where I’m going back to!

Brad and Bozo made this experience one of the best I’ve ever had in Vegas. Awesome people that know what great customer service means. On top of the awesome staff, the beers on tap are awesome and the food is amazing. I highly recommend the bone marrow. I would say come here mostly for the atmosphere and for the people that make you feel extremely welcome. Thanks again guys!

I took my husband out for a birthday dinner this evening because he loved this place when we ate here a year or more ago. We started with octopus and this had some great chorizo and squash. The tuna poke and brussels sprouts were excellent! The carrots of carrot and parsnip fame were tasty but not quite steamed enough. The scallops were fresh and tender. The Manhattan was one of the best ever! The Dr. green Thumb vodka and sauvignon blanc with lime drink was tart and interesting. We loved the apple crisp dessert and the chocolate stout cake was all right. We were thrilled to find out that as locals, we could have a 20% discount! The manager and servers and waitstaff were very attentive.

Just stopped in for a drink with friends. Sexy lounge! Although no real problem we were asked to get up for a larger party to sit together. I am highly sensitive to making every customer feel important, so initially I didn’t like the ask but got over it quickly. I ordered the no sleep till Brooklyn drink with gin, cucumber liquor, simple syrup and cardamom bitters. .. It was pretty tasty(ordered two of them). I am from Brooklyn so it was fun to order! The service was a little slow, which was shocking as the place was not busy given it was only about 4PM. We passed this place walking a few times, but my friends opted not to stop in again. Personally I liked the place. .. Try it! The service may have just been slightly off that day. The drink menu was interesting.

What a gem! We had a group of 8 coming for a bachelorette party and they accommodated us so well! I made the reservation long before the trip, so I was sure that they would be ready for us. Little did I know that they would offer us a private room for our party. If you’ve read my other reviews from this trip, you’ll notice that I call our group«indecisive» and that they needed some guidance overall. This can be pretty difficult for servers and I always feel bad whenever a large group of people isn’t really answering or is being a little frustrating for servers. Everyone here was SUPER patient with us and I seriously commend them for that. The food was also INCREDIBLE. I had the beef short rib and it was SO delicious. I was so sad that I couldn’t clean my plate just for more of that melty and amazing beef. The cheese board was also super tasty and a perfect appetizer for the whole group. I’ll definitely go back given the opportunity.

Had the foie gras and duck as an appetizer. Very good but needed more toasted points than what was provided. Had a great selection of beers. Went with a Belgium trippel to pair with the appetizer. For dinner I had the sea bass which was equally magnificent. It came with a lobster and corn ravioli which was cooked perfectly and accompanied the sea bass expertly. Didn’t do desert but had a few more beers. It’s slightly overpriced but what do you expect from Vegas at the Venetian.

Overall for how much we paid I feel like the food was okay. I got the roasted chicken and it was wayyyyyy too salty. The chicken was cooked perfectly though. The lobster mac and cheese had maybe a few tiny pieces of lobster in it but was still pretty good. I feel like for the price there are much better options in Vegas.

This place is great! From the décor to the staff and of course the food and cocktails. Our server had an easy going vibe and great sense of humor. We ordered the specials that night and it was simply delicious. The hangar steak was perfectly prepared and juicy. Also ordered a few sides which were perfect complements to our meals which we shared, from the lobster mac and cheese and the mushrooms. Cocktails abounded us only to heighten our night there. I can’t say enough about this place, this is a must go to place for dinner. Ordered a later dinner as take out tonight from here(less than a week from when we first came here). We opted for the filet mignon(medium rare), purée potatoes and mushrooms. Everything was right on target in terms of flavor and delivery. The food is excellent!

Vegas is a lot like Miami Beach. Lots and lots of touristy restaurants with bland food and high prices. The staff stands out front and lures you in only to drink you into disappointment. Fortunately with Public House, that was not what we found. In fact, I totally fell for this place! We had been checking out the Venetian and Palazzo and hunger suddenly hit. Most restaurants were pretty quiet as it was a bit late for lunch. We browsed a few storefronts before deciding on Public House. Perhaps we were drawn into to the dim lighting and the hip Americana décor. We sat in a plush booth and our server greeted us right away. She very friendly and inviting. I had already eyeballed the Chicken Sandwich on the menu so I just had to order it. It was a grilled chicken breast topped with sliced ham, grain mustard, and cheese. Perfect texture and delicious! Paired with good ol’ natural cut fries. All around very good. I have to say I was really happy with Public House. I’d even say it was my favorite meal on the whole trip. I even tolerated the cheesy humor on the restroom walls. Be sure to find your way to Venetian if you want to check this place out!

After having this place bookmarked for I don’t know how long and many, many, many visits to Vegas later, I finally stopped in to Public House for a visit. And I came for one thing only, and that was for their Duck Poutine! Duck Poutine with Fried Egg – This was good and loaded with a generous amount of Duck Confit, but I wish it had more gravy. I usually like my Poutine drowning in that stuff not only because it tastes good, but it makes it easier to eat as well. This was a huge portion and the Fried Egg, which made for a nice addition, really wasn’t necessary for me to add. Welsh Rarebit — I really ordered this because I had assumed that the Poutine was only going to be a moderate-sized portion. Well, I was wrong with that assumption. Plus this was pretty hearty for a side dish as well with all that melted cheese. I wanted some Frambroise Lambic so I was happy to see that they had it on their beer menu. For premium pricing of course, but what the hell, we’re on the Strip. I’m glad I finally got to try Public House at the Venetian. The place is great and I would love to come back again to try their other interesting takes on bar food. Their Short Rib looks so worth coming back for!

Moving on Up! Since my last visit we have been here a few times and have really come to like this place. When we have our stay-cations we have our favorite spots. This is one we stop often now for a cocktail and an appetizer. We have had many but we have really come to enjoy the bone marrow! The last time I was disappointed with the blandness but after trying a few around town this is by far one of the better places for it. So I recall me not liking it. The others we have had have always been good and the service has always been good. The cocktails are well made my man never changes his Johnny Black on the rocks reuse the ice. I like to try new signature drinks and they have always been hits. We have tacking friends and family from to of town many times for both cocktails and food. Service top notch fun scenery and food and drinks a hit with our friends. Thank you for changing my mind. :)
