This is for the post-​remodel Pogo’s which has completely lost all of the flavor that this venerable old dive once had. I miss the Pogo’s of yesteryear, with dirt cheap drinks and old codgers that would invite you to share their booth during Friday night live jazz sessions. I particularly enjoyed the flowing jazz/​bigband version of «If I only had a brain» from Wizard of Oz that would go on for like twenty minutesa with huge solos by at least 5 guys per song. I took my 72 year old mom there about a month after they re-​opened and she said it best: «Pogo’s is ruined.» I just noticed that they closed. That’s what you get for removing Pogo’s soul.

I went to check out the renovation. It is closed and for lease. Note to Unilocal-​this is a valid review. It was a bad experience because they are out of business!
