Terrible customer service!
Got some breakfast here 01/​18/​2016. Was staying at the hotel for a convention over the weekend. Had to leave in a hurry so decided to get some coffee and pastry before we left. The girl at the register was extremely rude and unwelcoming. It seemed that she hated being there. Was rude when answering questions. I ordered a box of hot cereal but asked for her not to add water to it so I can do so later in the car when I preferred to do so. She ignored my request and still added wated to it. Well, we all make mistakes so I told her, «I asked you not to add the water.» With no comments or facial expression, she just grabbed it right out of my hands and threw it in the trash and threw me a new box. I was speechless. I wanted to call the manager but we were in a hurry to leave. Terrible customer service with some really high prices. With it being in a hotel and all. it’s understandable, but the customer service is the quality of a street candy stand!
The americano was really good though! Coffee had quality!

Orchid Lounge is one of those places that has several lives per day. It’s very convenient for those that are staying at Mandalay Bay. Right as you get off the lift, you proceed straight ahead and voila! it’s there!!!
In the morning, it’s a coffee shop where you can also get pastries and cut fruit. In the afternoon, it’s a quiet place to sit and chill. Evenings come alive with a band that plays oldies. The gentleman that sings here is very talented and the entire band is superb. It’s a great place to hangout with friends, have drinks and listen to the band.
I love that it’s not one of those pretentious places that Vegas is full of. This place has a good vibe and you’re always welcomed!

Decent coffees but having to pay $ 8 for a well balanced, well-​ratioed coffee is outrageous
Located right off the elevator banks to the Mandalay Bay tower rooms, this was a welcome sight in the morning
Their small lattes (12 oz) only had 1 shot & this girl needs 3 to get me going in the mornings
The good news was that it required no additional sugar. The bad news was that it cost $ 8
Starbucks was much more reasonable & it pained me to admit that since I usually avoid that place

I don’t know if lounge is exactly the right word but you can lounge around here and no one will bug you.
This place is more of an empty area of tables and chairs and there is a tiny coffee bar where you can buy drinks and bagels and very limited cold pastries/​sandwiches.
I didn’t eat here but I sat here for a few hours to relax, and boy, it was peaceful. Kinda secluded, kinda private, kinda quiet. Good music playing. Perfect to sit around and talk with someone or a group. No workers bug you. Nice and private space.

Mandaly Bay café/​restaurants are usually exceptional but you don’t expect to pay coffee prices with bad/​rude service. Avoid orchid café and pay the same price for Starbucks quality & service

Got a pretty tasty iced latte. Location is nice and central, with a very chill atmosphere.

Orchid Lounge. I’m definitely a fan of the Orchid Lounge because of the convenience of it. It’s located in the Mandalay Bay. It’s definitely no EBC, Marque or XS. However, I’m not looking for that scene especially when my partying days are long behind me. It’s a great place to have a few drinks in between games or catch up with friends who live in Vegas.
They have a cover band come on the weekends who sings old 1950/​60s songs. Call me an old soul but it’s pretty awesome. The drinks are strong, the bartenders are friendly, and the waitresses are great. It’s a great spot if you’re looking to have a quiet night.

The most convenient coffee place ever! It’s right off the Mandalay Bay room elevators. Perfect for a fast coffee and bread when you’re too lazy to go search for a Starbucks around the hotel. During the day they sell coffee and at night it’s a bar. Coffee was okay, had a weird taste, but it was okay. The bagels were good. I got 2 medium iced coffees and 2 bagels for $ 20 –_-…Oh well it’s Vegas.

If you come at the right time this lounge is a fun spot, lots of people watching live music is a little hokey but fun. Weekends are great, and some fun cocktail servers!

This is a great live band music lounge in Vegas. There isn’t a cover charge, but there is a 2 drink minimum. There is always a great band here to listen to and we never have long to wait to find a seat.

Nice little lounge space just off the elevators — in the AM, they serve coffees, juices and muffins. The service is actually quite fast in the morning, and the prices are comparable or cheaper than the Starbucks near the convention center. Four stars for the coffee service.
At night, it’s a bar. I do appreciate that it’s a low key space for just hanging out and having a drink but the laid back attitude carries over to the staff. We had to get our own drinks as the cocktail waitress couldn’t be bothered and nearby tables were littered with empty beer bottles and glasses that were never cleared. Two stars for the bar.
Average — three stars.

Good place to go grab some coffee and grub in the morning. The lines can be a little long at times, but it’s worth it.

Located in the Mandalay Bay Hotel. A great spot to hangout and relax and grab a cup of coffee. They also have a couple TV’s in there to catch up on sports/​news.

There are days when the line at Starbucks is just too long and I need caffine — this place has it!
Pretty decent coffee and fresh pastries.
Service is quick.

Today and on previous stays at Mandalay Bay, we’d spend time here chatting over a coffee beverage and pastry.
The location is convenient to Mandalay Bay guests. You exit the elevator, and it is right there.
The layout reminds me of a stage decorated in a Polynesian motif. From this slight elevation, there is views of the casino, the escalator to Mandalay Beach, people checking into Avis, guests walking from the elevator, and from registration. Good place for people watching.
I have hung out here when I am a guest. I have always enjoyed the ir café lates.
For news buffs there are two tv monitors. One is playing CNN and Fox. With captions.
In my opinion, this is a nice place to hang out if you are a Mandalay Bay guest. Not worth a special trip.

A great spot in the middle of Mandalay to chill. Coffee bar hours 5am-​2pm. They also have sandwiches, pastries, etc. The employees were very nice and I got quick service.
I liked my coffee there and loved that it was so convenient. It’s a nice spot that you can be in the middle of the action, but with it being elevated and having all the columns around it makes the Orchid Lounge a private spot to get a coffee and have some nice casino people watching. Small & Large coffee sizes comparable to Tall & Grande, so if you want Venti take a walk across the casino to Starbucks… but pay more. Why? The Orchid Lounge is a great coffee bar. :-)
Vegas Trip 10÷20−23÷11

Orchid lounge is my go to spot in between locations on our itinerary.
Better then Starsucks for your morning caffeine fix and nice and chill for a cocktail in the evening.
Chill is definitely the word of the day here.

This is a great spot first thing in the am after you have done your morning exercises to work off the delights of the night before. Pastries are fresh and coffee is hot. Plenty of good service and smiling faces. I love to sit and watch all the people as they wait for coffee. Clearly it is going to take much more than a cup of Joe to make up for what some did last night. Starbucks in my hometown wishes it could grow up to be the Orchid Lounge.

I left my room early one morning (what? I woke up early in Vegas?)…ready to make the long trek to the other side of the hotel for a latte @ Starbucks. But when I come out of the elevator I notice this little coffee bar. I walked over and was greeted my two very pleasant ladies behind the counter. They had my latte in about 5 minutes, even with 2 people in front of me. I also grabed a pastery and I noticed my total was about $ 6. Thats less than what Im used to paying @ Starbucks… and everything tasted the same. Sweet! I also brought my laptop down from my room later that day and grabbed another latte and was able to sit… slightly tucked away from the chaos of the casino and enjoy some somewhat quiet time with my coffee.
The good: Didn’t have to walk accross the hotel, cheaper, tastes good, clean and the employees were very nice.
The bad: Nothing comes to mind.
