First time venturing off the strip and we’re so happy to have discovered this gem on Fremont in Las Vegas. Our bartender, Terry, knew the ins and outs of mixology and made some incredible drinks for us. We were impressed by his hospitality and genuine nature. If you’re looking for a bar with exceptional service/drinks and a laid-back vibe, Oak and Ivy is your spot. We’ll definitely be back.

WOW, what a hidden gem! This place is quaint(the inside bar only has 8 bar stools), but there is ample patio room with great views of container park. The bartenders are super knowledgeable & hospitable. I had the Kentucky Mule –a version of a Moscow Mule, but with bourbon instead of vodka — AMAZING! They make their own ginger beer for an extra-special added touch. Definitely one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had! This Kentucky girl/Bourbon enthusiast definitely approves!

Great place. Been here twice, hung out for hours. Extensively stocked bar. Fantastic craft/artisanal cocktails, both traditional and new/creative. Note the interior(airconditioned) space is small(maybe seats 6 – 8 people?) and can fill up. There is plenty of seating outside but in the heat of the day, can get toasty. After the afternoon sun gets behind the container«wall» around the big courtyard, it’s fine.

One of the best craft cocktail bars in Las Vegas. The bartenders take the time to make awesome cocktails which isn’t always time efficient, but it’s always worth the the wait for a good cocktail.

This place has Great bar tenders that will personalize drinks to what you like. Their Moscow Mules are one of the best I have had. The upstairs area has a great view over container park. This is a good spot for relaxing and having drinks with a group of people.

Best Old Fashioned I’ve ever had, the wait time for a drink was worth it. These guys really take their time to make the perfect drinks, also the upper deck view is really nice.

Craft cocktail bar located in Container Park. It has a super cool vibe, great indoor and outdoor seating as well as rooftop access. The drinks are amazing! I had the El Burro(House made ginger beer, Patron Silver Tequila and Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Bitters. It was so good I had two! Great way to cool off on a hot day! Will definitely be back!

One of the best bars in Vegas. I’m not really crazy about fancy cocktails or tricks to make a drink. So I’m surprised I like this place so much, however, the bartenders truly appreciate a good drink, its not about the time they’re spending creating the cocktail. They just want you to enjoy the flavor. I’ve tasted almost every drink on their menu, I love the tequila mule made with casamigos, pricey, but worth it. Also, they make one hell of an old fashioned. Only issue is the bar is so small, but during the summer you can relax on their patio and enjoy the sun. Great atmosphere, great staff, and solid drinks.

Please, please, please go see Vito! He’s an amazing, craft cocktail genius. An incredible passionate bartender who’s knowledge is incredible. I recommend the entire menu but the«Mules» are awesome; they make their own ginger beer by the way; but the overall experience is really unique. You just have to go. The whiskey selection is probably the largest in all off Las Vegas. Go see Vito and he’ll take care of you.

Do you want hair on your chest? Who doesn’t. Visit this cocktail bar, stat! They have some amazing drinks. Truly remarkable. Ranging from the basic old fashioned, to fancy apple pie drinks and other creative concoctions that you don’t know whether to drink or eat. But don’t let the fruity ingredients fool you; they’re plenty strong! Want proof? My previously hairless chest is now so hairy, like Zangief. The location is the best part. It’s right inside Container Park in downtown Las Vegas, so you can sip on some drinks while listening to live music or watch the kids run around and play. Once it gets darker, the kids disappear and adults dance while other bands will rock the house. What a great spot.

I couldn’t get a reservation at The Laundry Room, so we decided to go to Oak and Ivy instead. The bar is tucked away in a shopping center called Downtown Container Park. After entering the shopping center, head back and to the left. Oak and Ivy has a small bar inside and additional seating outside. The outside area wasn’t open when we went, though that may have been due to the cold weather, late time and/or small crowd. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Given that they offer an extensive selection of mules, so we decided to try a couple. He then explained that they make their own ginger beer for use in their mules. We tried the Irish Buck Mule and the Kentucky Mule: both were delicious. Sadly these were some of the only good cocktails that we were able to get while in Vegas. I wish we could have tried a few more of their drink options, but the bar closes relatively early at 11PM(on Thursdays).

This is a quirky little bar in the quirky Container Park. It’s only a bar. No tables. Just a bar. The décor is really cool and the two guys working put on quite a show, dancing, making drinks, just interacting with the guests. The music was great. Extensive whiskey menu, the cocktails are divine! My drink came with a brûléed apple on top. I definitely recommend to stop in for a drink.

When is a bar more than just a bar? For me it’s when the adult beverages are far superior to other bars in the area. I believe when it comes to Oak and Ivy, that’s an understatement… Oak and Ivy is a small little bar at the end of the SE side of Container Park. It’s something you might just walk right by and not even notice… I did severval times before I found this hidden gem! Indoors there is a long bar with maybe 7 seats — but the patio upstairs is quite comfortable(that is when it’s not 40 degrees out.) with great views of the park. There’s also additional seating out front. Oak and Ivy has a full bar, with pretty much every drink option. Although they specialize in whiskey and have over 100 different whiskeys on hand, and several options of whiskey flights for tasting… but what keeps me coming back to Oak and Ivy are their FAMOUS Moscow Mules! Recently they were ranked #1 for their mules in Vegas. Oak and Ivy make their own ginger beer, and that extra little effort makes a world of difference between their mules and everyone else’s. I have to say that there’s a little inconsistency in flavor from day to day due to this fact, but I have yet to have a mule here that I didn’t enjoy! I generally go for their standard mule, but this week I branched out and tried an Irish Mule(Jameson vs. vodka), and it was amazing! I have been to Oak and Ivy multiple times, often forgetting to check in — but not once have I had a bad drink, nor have I had bad service. On the contrary, the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive! My last visit there was this week after a Unilocal Elite event, and they even offered us a free shot called Breakfast In Bed — it was AMAZING! Tasted just like maple syrup and Orange Juice… this could be trouble for me! If you happen to be at container park, you should definitely drop in. But I’ll admit, their mules alone are often what brings me to Container Park in the first place… they really are THATGOOD!

What can I say about this place. It’s obviously so awesome that words can’t describe it. They make breakfast in bed shots. They make their own ginger beer too so the Moscow mules are amazing. This is one whiskey bar that you shouldn’t be missing out on ever. The people are great, the atmosphere is fantastic, and it just smells… awesome. I’m really happy that there’s a place like this in the Container Park area since it really makes the atmosphere a great place. Love these bartenders. Amazing people and funny as heck… naye… hell… funny as hell. Definitely on my list of places to take people that haven’t been to Vegas.

If you’re a snobby, hoity-toity whiskey/whisky drinker and expect more from your beverage than a simple rum and coke or gin and tonic, then Oak & Ivy is where you should be — not where you need to be or could probably be — -YOU SHOULDALREADYBETHERE! The peeps are fun and down to earth, but the drinks will make you quiver with unyielding intimidation of awesomeness. They are phenomenal alcoholic concoctions. They are like wizards! They should have names like Merlin and Dumbledore! You think I’m kidding?! I kid ye not uneducated fools! Pinto and Katie rock this joint. We came, we saw, we drank, we ate, we concurred most of the seats for the rest of the night… we will be back!

I liked the vibe inside the bar, and I thought the bartenders were quite nice and personable. The boyfriend asked one of them to just create something, so he did it based on his flavor profile/craving. Pretty cool that you don’t have to just stick to the menu. If you wanted to see what they’re about, they have an excellent variety of drinks. 2 menus to be honest, and 1 is actually an extensive whiskey list. The only downside to this, especially in cold weather is the amount of bar space. Shouldn’t really complain though ’cause it is at Container Park.

The cocktail craftsmanship at Oak and Ivy is so good, calling it a bar is almost an insult to its awesomeness. My usual drink is an old fashioned and I’ve been pretty resigned to having it come out barely drinkable, but the wizard behind the bar at Oak and Ivy made a killer drink. He selected a craft whiskey based on my preferences and nailed it. He had soooo many choices. To give the drink an extra kick, he torched an American oak plank and poured smoke into my drink, an amazing show and touch. What he created was a real nectar of the gods. I nursed my drink for half an hour while watching Bruce Lee’s The Game of Death on the outdoor screen. I’ll be back anytime I’m ever in Vegas.

We’ve come to this bar already twice while we’ve been in Las vegas and love the homey, intimate, traditional feel of the bartenders, atmosphere, and drinks! COCKTAILS: YUM — There’s a great variety of Mules to choose from: my favorite is the SnowStorm, and we LOVE the Apply Pie Harvest — ask for the story behind it too! The whiskey selection is unique and they even had a great choice of craft beers. SERVERS: We met Pinto and Vito last night who were very friendly and gave us a great run down of the menu and how the drinks were created and handcrafted — I’m always one to want to learn the WHY and HOW behind things, it helps it be even more enjoyable! SETTING: We just love Container Park — and when you come here there is also outside seating when the weather is nice so that you can sip your drink and enjoy your company!

Holy whiskey! This bar is the coolest concept. Oak & Ivy is located inside the container park in downtown. The bar is the length of one container, but it has room outside and upstairs to hang out with your drink. The bar is lined with many different kids of whiskey from many different distilleries. Their menu has a list of specialty cocktails and barreled whiskies. Don’t be afraid to ask for recommendations or a drink made just for you. The bartenders were nice and very knowledgable. They aren’t afraid to make something new(just always say no if they ask you for«smoke.» Trust me on this.) TIP: Hang out and have a drink or two before dinner. Then when the kids go home, play on the playground for some fun! ;)

An awesome Whiskey/cocktail bar in the Container Park(Downtown/Fremont) area of LV. The inside is quite small. It’s literally a small bar which can fit about 15 – 20 people. The workers are really cool and they make premium cocktails here. They can pretty much make anything you like. I ordered an old fashioned and it tasted superb(5⁄5). They used BBQ bitters w/bourbon whiskey and garnished w/a scorched orange peel. The BBQ bitters was an excellent touch and it would’ve went great w/a burger. It was a solid OF and delicious. If you are in Downtown stop by. You won’t regret it. TIPS: –Located in Container Park/Down Fremont –Most cocktails run about $ 12-$ 14.

Amongst all the other shops and resturant’s in the DTLV Container Park is a very cool little bar called Oak & Ivy that everyone must visit. During our visit on a hot Sunday afternoon my wife and I wanted an adult beverage to help us deal with the heat. Then all of a sudden Oak & Ivy appeared, no I’m just kidding I knew about it and I was interested in trying them out really bad. The bar itself runs length wise of the container to maximize the space and they have a very cool patio with lots of space that wraps around the outside. The bar has a very cool common wealth feel with the bartenders in bow ties and suspenders. Inside was very cool as in temperate which was nice and the whole glass wall can open up for fresh air. The drinks are artsy and yummy! I hate Unilocaling without pictures but I have one and it’s of the Grapefruit beer on tap was so good and cold! It’s definitely a cool little bar to hang out at if you are chilling at The Container Park. I can’t wait to go back when it’s cooler!

I’ve been here quite a few times now… so it’s time for a review. This is my favorite whiskey bar. Really, it’s the only whiskey bar that I’ve been to here in Las Vegas… but still, it’s pretty rad. First off, if you want the ultimate experience, snag a bar seat and let the Bar Chefs entertain you. They are pretty sweet! Most of the cocktails have a story, so ask about them… learn a little something. If whiskey is your thing, this is your place. They actually have little barrels of whiskey here along with an insane selection of whiskey. Peep my photos. All the drinks we have had here have been high quality and absolutely delicious. You can tell that they take their cocktails seriously here. If I had to recommend one, it’d be the apple pie drink. But I love apple pie, so I’m a bit biased. There isn’t much bar seating but they make up for that with plenty of patio seating. Find your way to the«secret» upstairs patio/bar. But if you want a mule or any specialty cocktails, make sure you get it from the main bar. I went to the upstairs bar seeking an Irish Buck only to find out that the upstairs bar isnt quite fully stocked. Oh yeah, the upstairs bar provides a great view of all of Container Park — including the stage. This place is probably on the more pricey side of things but the experience is well worth it, in my opinion. Get the full experience and sit at the main bar for a bit if you can.

I’ve been here a few times since their opening and I can say this is one of my favorite Downtown spots to grab a cocktail. I also love bringing out-of-town visitors here and everyone has a great time. The reason you want to be here is whiskey. I’m not an expert of whiskey(rye, scotch, bourbon, etc) nor would I claim to enjoy sipping whiskey. However, I love whiskey-based cocktails. This is fortunately the place for that, too! My favorite cocktail is the Blood & Cloves(Jameson Black Barrel, Cherry Herring, Vittone Rosso, and Orange). I order it every time. One day I may venture because they do have a great cocktail menu. There’s a patio in front of the container and one on top of the container as well! I like to sit at the bar inside the snazzy container because you can admire the craftsmanship of the delicious cocktails. FYI: During the day, only beer and wine can explore the Container Park, whereas liquor must stay within the Oak & Ivy confines.
