Monday Night Fundraiser to Benefit ARC Hurricane Sandy Efforts

Unilocal held a fundraiser at Johnny Fontane’s Beach House to benefit the Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts of the American Red Cross. It was a positive experience for a good cause. Some generous donors provided gift baskets of desirable goodies that were raffled off, with all raffle ticket proceeds going to the American Red Cross. Additional monetary contributions could be and were deposited in another receptacle, and 50% of bar proceeds and 30% of Haulin’ Balls’ Food Truck’s sales in front of Johnny Fontane’s were also donated for this worthwhile charitable purpose.
Besides convening for a good cause, I enjoyed individual conversations with our Community Manager Misti Y., Christie O., and Leonel M. The Chicago Bears-​San Fransisco 49ers televised football game was shown live on a large flatscreen, and I liked that the sound of the telecast was also broadcast for those who wanted to hear it. As a special bonus, I enjoyed for the first time a Meatball Parm Sub that featured large meatballs, homemade mild Marinara Sauce, and melted Mozzarella Cheese. The sandwich was nicely baked and very tasty, along with well-​salted fat fries that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. So, it was a win-​win event for me, the several fellow Las Vegas Unilocalers in attendance, the American Red Cross, and the hurricane victims who will benefit from the proceeds generated from this function.
