I was invited here once to do a review about this particular salon and never posted it on Unilocal. It’s been over 2 years, but my hair and scalp are still feeling the damaging effects from my experience at Peter Anthony’s salon, so I feel it’s only fair to throw caution to the wind. I originally wanted a bit of a color change and we discussed that before my appointment. I had a change of heart and wanted to go with something more extreme, so at the time of my appointment, which I was seen 30 minutes after it was originally scheduled for, I showed John Francis the photo I wanted which was a purple reverse ombré, going from light purple at the roots to dark purple at the ends. Instead of being true professionals and telling me flat out he couldn’t replicate it or accommodate that at the time, he bleached and bleached my hair and put in colors that didn’t even remotely look close to what I asked for. Did I mention it was a two day process? He sent me home with soaking wet hair that was this awful shade of almost grey. I had to keep mentioning I didn’t want any sort of pink or magenta in it. I got it anyway. I also felt like I was being intimidated to be positive about it the experience and the end result. After expressing how displeased I was, Peter Anthony almost made me feel stupid. Almost. Until I remembered that good people and business men and women don’t make excuses and accept mistakes made. I understand that I got a service that was a decent amount of money, but it should have never happened considering it was known the end result couldn’t be accomplished. This was the last time I ever let anyone touch my hair, which is why I decided to write this review after the fact. It was so awful that I actually decided to dread my hair instead so that I wouldn’t need anyone else to touch my hair. My hair, and particularly my scalp have never been the same since I was chemically burned from the bleach. Every time I think about going to a salon in general, I stop myself because of this entire situation at LTAYH. On a positive note, his wife Stephanie was super cute, soft spoken and decent.

Been here three times. My hair comes out good, but not the color I requested, not the highlights I requested. First time I just thought the stylist was having a bad day, so I made my next appt. The next time the stylist was«sick» but sniffled their way through doing my hair. I went home and showered for fear of germs. Third time I went my hair came out good but, not what I wanted… and NO conversation. The stylist slaps color on your hair then goes off into the back room to do whatever? I was left sitting in a chair. The nice lady from the front desk did bring me a glass of water. Every time I go, it’s a different price. First time color and highlights, 185.00, next time, touch up the new growth, 85.00, next time another touch up, 95.00. My hair is SHORT… I’m talking«boy cut» short. Same stylist every time, so prices variances shouldn’t be happening. I think they charge whatever they want. I asked the stylist how much it would be to «trim» my daughters hair and he told me it would be 80.00! For a trim? I won’t be going back. Just because they are in Summerlin doesn’t mean they are the best. I’m still looking for a new salon. I’ve only been in Vegas 5 months… and I’ll keep looking but I’m not going back there. *Note* The first time I went I bought«one» product that the stylist suggested… it’s a good product. I’m not mentioning the stylist’s name, in hopes he reads this and the next person… has a better experience because of this posting. I’m not trying to slam anyone, just offering some constructive criticism.

Nail Tech Christine H is the BEST! I have been going to here for years now and I always leave happy. She is a perfectionist when doing nails, which is something I look for. I get pedicures and gel nails from her. I used to get ingrown toenails and since I have been seeing her, I never get them anymore. I totally recommend Christine.

I see Christine for my nails. I’ve been going to her for about 2 years. I’ve followed her to two different salons because she is the best at what she does. I always get gelish manicures. Im always more than pleased after my service. She took great care of my toes when I was pregnant! Awesome foot massage! She comes highly recommend!!! Worth every penny!

Christine Horton applies the best gel nails ever. They are long lasting, never break or lift. She is a perfectionist of the highest order. Oh and did I mention she gives a scrumptious pedicure also. Try a specialty pedicure with Aveda products.

I recently moved to Las Vegas and have struggled so much to find a new colorist, I’m currently travelling back to Chicago every two weeks to get my color done. Obviously this is a big problem, but I like my «natural» red hair, so I guess it’s just about sacrificing — because wow! I have never gotten such bad service, except maybe at Color at Caesar’s. Anyway, so my salon in Chicago recommended Peter Anthony — the owner of my salon in Chicago said he wasn’t sure how good the guy was but that he had heard great things, so I scheduled a consultation. I showed up for my consultation ONTIME, waited thirty minutes, and when I went to tell the front desk to let them know I would have to leave, I was informed that Peter was VERYBUSY with a VIPBUSINESSMATTER — I scoffed at the idea that I should be made to feel that my time is not only of less value to the staff but apparently no good for them, and left. I was called a few hours later by the marketing manager who is very nice, but it appears Peter Anthony might need a new personality to mask his inability to function. The marketing manager gave me Peter Anthony’s email address so I could send him my formula and see if he could replicate it, that way I wouldn’t have to waste my time driving back to the salon for a consultation. Again the marketing manager was very nice and apologetic, downright embarrassed himself I guess, so I finally relented and sent him an email with my formula. It’s been a week and I haven’t received a reply to my email. I cannot even believe I bothered to spend the time to send the email to someone who doesn’t value his clients, potential or otherwise. The sad thing is, if you do my hair well, you have earned my business and I will remain loyal and tip so much you will be excited to see me every two weeks. So, good luck. You’ve made this potential new regular and salon cheerleader feel like her money is no good to you — if that’s the message you’re trying to send, congratulations, you’ve got it!

I visited LTAYH because I had purchased a Living Social deal, but I will definitely be back! When I walked in, two employees greeted me with a smile and offered me coffee, tea and water. I saw Samantha for a cut, color and blow dry and she was great. She made great suggestions and didn’t try to constantly upsell me on products or services. It was a relaxing experience and I love how my hair turned out.

UGH! My stylist moved. This is certainly a nicer set up for her & for Moi~ a lot more space, brighter, looks cleaner… the side? It’s 30 mins away. She is FAB, her name is Cae, and she is an EXCELLENT Colorist, who I found on Unilocal! This all comes with a price $$~ however you will NOT be DISAPPOINTED!!!
