I ended up not having to go to court and got a lot more out of my wrongful termination than I had anticipated. If an employer promises you the world, gets you to quit another job and screws you over… it’s no longer at will employment. It’s called Promissory Estoppel — At will no longer applies and they cannot terminate you and cause you harm. Know your rights in Nevada and that At-​Will doesn’t mean they aren’t at fault for the harm they have caused you. Take them to court (or threaten to) and document what you were promised (emails, verbal conversations) and the harm they caused you by you believing in them.
