Disappointed to drive over here to find it closed for ‘rebranding’. Should have been clued in when the website wouldn’t open up. Worst mistake Stoney’s ever made was moving from their old location to Town Square — its too yuppy and isn’t the place I want to go to get my country fix. Plus, the change to allow 18 and up was SUPER annoying. Maybe it’ll reopen with a name that’s not as dumb as ‘The Bull’.

Was OK. Kind of expected more of a country atmosphere. Drinks weren’t overly expensive.

I have never been treated so poorly in my life! The people who work here are incredibly rude. Worst beer I have ever tasted in my life and everything overpriced. Music is much too loud so don’t plan on being able to talk to anyone unless you’re literally shouting in their ear. Overall horrible experience, definitely avoid. Go find something else to do where you won’t be treated like trash.

This was my first time to the Bull. A friend and I went here for my birthday last night. Some plus and minuses, though for the most part, this is a decent bar. First, $ 10 cover is kinda steep I think. I’m actually from hendertucky… Ive lived here for nearly a decade, but i still have my florida license… that’s my bad i guess but still… I could see 5 bucks… or maybe free on your birthday ;) but whatevs. The line dancing is super fun and you can come in early(7pm on Saturday… not sure about other days) for dance lessons, which I love. Not that I care if I look like a fool out there. Lol. Ill just make it up as I go if I’m super lost haha! The teacher was fantastic. She even noticed my friend and I coming in to the lesson a little lost and came over near us so we could watch her steps better. Music was great. Unlike what another said, this particular night was mainly country with a few of the standard poppy songs. .still people line danced. There were a couple of free dancing songs. There is a bull there to ride, which I am now disappointed that I did not get to try… maybe next time! ;) As for the minus points, I’m confused about the drink prices because I paid $ 30 for all night well drinks and I tipped the bartender 30 bucks. My friend also paid 30 for her wrist band… so i didn’t think anything of it. I read this morning on Unilocal; however, that Saturday night is $ 2 for ladies drinks from 11pm to 2. Also another Unilocaler said it was 20 for the wrist band, so I’m a little perturbed about that bc it seems shady.(–_-) The only other thing that would be nice is if they offered bar food because damn… people can work up an appetite with all them drinks and all that booty shakin… lol…just sayin. :) Overall, I had a great time… I’m just not too sure about their drink pricing. Takes the experience down a notch.

I was very happy to have heard from the manager at LV Bull who was very apologetic for the way my friends and I were treated previously. Cliff offered to have us over again for a redo. He gave us VIP service with our very own table of choice and bar tab. I was very impressed with HIS professionalism and want to make things right. I hope his employees begin to take notes from him about how customers should actually be treated. And I mean ALL customers, not just the ones dishing out tons of money for a table. Thank you Cliff for making our experience so much better the second time around.

Pretty fun place if you enjoy country music and line dancing. Decent, friendly crowd and it was all you can brink on certain drinks for $ 30. No a bad deal. I mainly just watched everyone learn their line dances and watched them dance during the couples dances but it was very entertaining. It wasnt very busy on the night I went which was on a saturday around 10pm. But once again decent crowd of people that were there and I will for sure recommend this place to people that enjoy country. Had no complaints.

I’m not a local, so I had to pay. I thought that was lame, but I guess it’s entertaining to watch everyone dancing and having a good time. This was sort of a last minute addition to my evening, so I wasn’t prepared to join in on the festivities. Maybe if I had, my review would be more positive. Lastly, the way those girls are riding that bull… and what they’re wearing… I’d be afraid of that saddle. Someone is going to get herpes. Lol.

This is NOT a country bar. This is a dance club with an occasional country song. The old location was ok but it is pretty mainstream since moving to the new location towards the strip. They music is absolutely garbage. I come to listen to country but half the songs are dance or R&B hip hop songs, and the other half are pop country.(Sorry guys but The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts & Taylor Swift aren’t country). The security is very strict about the smallest things. Can’t wear hats backwards, can’t have drinks in certain places, and the list continues. They keep the line long on purpose so it looks like there’s a lot of people inside but in the middle of winter it gets pretty cold standing outside for 20 minutes. The drinks are very overpriced and they even raised the rate of all you can drink beer. Unless you give the bull operator a real good tip expect your experience on it to be short lived. I highly recommend Gilleys instead.

Stated at the adjoining casino for a week and visited this bar twice; Wednesday was slow, but Friday was hoppin’. The modern County theme was fun, and the saddle stools are oddly comfortable. Didn’t get a chance to ride the bull had a live band on Friday playing country and in between sets they played more dance type music, so you best the best of both. The bartender, while busy, was on top of it. Drinks weren’t watered down, and seem proceed fun for Vegas. The bathroom was small and messy, but it was a Friday night on the strip, but wasn’t to the point where it was nasty. Will defenatelly be visiting next time were in Vegas.

I have been to Stoney’s couple times when it was back in the old location, everyone was friendly and I always had good times. But this time… NO! We were on the dance floor this LADY was screaming at my face because I don’t know the dance routine and she called for the security to kick me and my 3 other girl friends out(and she said” if you don’t know how to dance get off the floor!!! I’m going to get the security and kick u outta here!!”) sounded like this’s her Stoney’s routine and she’s familiar with the KICKing people out procedures! And security basically said«I am not going to tell you you can’t be on the dance floor, but if you don’t know the dance you can stay on the side and learn!!» Ohhhh I am sorry… you know the line dance since you’re born and you dance in your moms belly? I don’t think so! We come here to have fun and instead we get judged simply because we don’t know how to dance! Maybe you should have a sigh says«No noobs allow» just like going in to supermarket and«no pets allow!!» So nasty, so rude!

First of all, There’s $ 5 charge to get in on thurs night for locals which is lame. I love country music and want to check it out, we are four Asian girls trying to catch up the dance and been escrowed out of the dance floor, I asked why, the guy said u can’t be on the dance floor if you don’t know the routine. Well, excuse me, it was our first time here how do we know right off the bat? We were learning and got kicked out. I see other«white customers» also learning and was okay up to stay. I asked for the manager and no one came thru. Wow I used to live in Texas and had never felt discriminated other than this place. 11 years in Vegas never been kicked out the dance floor. The bottom line is if your Asian and don’t know the routine, most likely you will get kicked out. Good luck and fuck you for $ 5 low class service! I wouldn’t even pay a dime for this place. Oh happy 4th of July 草泥馬的B!!!

Stoney’s a pretty awesome place! $ 1 drinks on Thursdays! And they have dance lessons Monday– Saturday! So you can always learn the dances and they’ll play it through out the night for you to show off your sick dance moves haha The dance floor is a good size!

Oh drunk cowboy nights. Best day to go is Thursday, bring ladies and they get you dollars drinks. I can’t really do any of the line dances but they sure are fun to watch. They have lessons around 7 or so but I’m never off on time. They also have the bull riding, bikini and regular. Only lasted like 2 seconds but I tried!

Just updating my review since Stoney’s moved over to the Town Square. Cover charge is still $ 10 bucks but now the all you can drink PBR or Busch went up to $ 15. Still not a bad deal when you think about it, only if you can handle the«trailer park of beers». Dance floor seems to be a little smaller now from what I can remember. Kind of torn about the two places, but the taxi fare is now cheaper coming from the strip :-)

I am torn on Stoney’s. In one respect, I expect it to be a large honky tonk like I went to when I lived in Oklahoma. On the other hand, it’s in Town Square, in Las Vegas. As an Oklahoma honky tonk, this place is not great. But, in bringing that atmosphere to Vegas, it’s more than serviceable. Me and a couple of buddies saw Stoney LaRue on a Friday night at Stoney’s. We had unknowingly come on $ 15 all you can drink PBR night(we did not partake). So, the line was nuts. The inside is what you would expect, large dance floor, lots of tables, mechanical bull in the corner. There are a few bars and beer/drink stations scattered around the interior. Prior to Stoney going onstage, the DJ was playing mostly line dancing songs, and nearly all of these were not«country.» They were more poppy if you ask me. I am probably old fashioned when it comes to line dancing, I prefer my songs«twangy» and actually country music. I clearly was in the minority, as a bunch of people were dancing and loving it. I suppose this is where country bars are headed, and I need to get over it. The bathroom was well maintained, and the attendant was friendly. Even though Stoney’s was very crowded the night we went, we didn’t have to wait long at the bar. So, if a band is in town I like, I’d certainly return to Stoney’s. It gets the job done and the employees were friendly.

I am a Southern girl. I grew up listening to country and bred with that Southern style. Of course, I revolted, and ran away to the desert to escape life below the Mason-Dixon Line. Anytime I set foot into a country bar, I cringe. I don’t know if it’s the cheap drinks, the weird lighting, or the fact that people(MEN and WOMEN) are line dancing to Jennifer Lopez that just baffles me. Needless to say, Stoney’s in clean and has a very friendly staff. I was impressed that there was a live band playing instead of a DJ. There were also peanuts on everyone’s table, a large dedicated dance floor in the center of the space and two bars on either side of the dance floor, the bars are large and with plenty of bartenders. If you are a country fan, enjoy line dancing, then this place is a must. It is however, not my cup of tea. Not my kind of music, or my type of place. To each their own. I do think that Stoney’s does a good job as a country/line dancing bar. There drinks aren’t overly priced and on Thursdays, it’s ladies night, which is a one way ticket to the hot mess express. Ratchets everywhere. Consider yourself warned. It just gets sloppy. Wrangler butts drive me nuts, so I do my best to steer clear of this place, but I can compare this place to other country bars and know that this is probably the best you will get in Vegas. Yeehaw, folks, yee-haw.

I really like Stoney’s. I’ve hung out several times since they relocated to Town Square. The venue is a little smaller, but I don’t mind it. It’s still big enough that it never feels overly crowded, except maybe during rodeo week. They have free line dancing classes nightly at 7pm. So far I can now dance pretty good to 4 songs. The lessons make it a lot easier to learn the steps. Those dances can be pretty tricky. The Bartending staff is really good. They are nice and seem to take an interest in me personally. Tessa, Tommy and a cute blonde girl(I need to learn her name next time) are my favorites. The crowd is a mix of people just having fun and of people that are serious about their line dancing. I’m obviously a beginner and for the most part the seasoned dancers are supportive. This is a great place to bring a large group because there’s a lot of room. Also for those that don’t want to dance, there are two pool tables and a mechanical bull. There are also beer pong tables. This is definitely one of my favorite ways to spend a weekend night.

I am on the fence about the new Stoney’s location at Town Square. I loved the old location and I am not sure why they moved — there was tons of parking and it seemed like a big enough place. This location is all shiny and new and has all of the same things, but it just feels like a big, open space. There is nothing particularly special or inviting about it. I was there very late on a Saturday night(like 2am), and was surprised that we had to pay a $ 10 per person cover. Once we got inside, there weren’t very many people there(big surprise). The dance floor was pretty much dead, and it was definitely the«B» team out there — and that’s being nice. One of my friends with me is from Tennessee and was excited to check it out — in fact, we went just for her. Her comment was«this is the worst country bar I’ve ever been to.» Now, it’s obviously hard to compare to something in Tennesee or Texas, but she is right. Stoney’s is trying to market itself as more of a «lounge,» with the VIP tables, mix of old school hip hop, beer pong, etc. I am not sure I understand why — I think that a true country place would thrive here, simply because there aren’t a lot of options. Drink prices are reasonable. However, at the bar, I only saw Busch and Busch Light on tap(YUCK!)…Um, who really drinks that crap?! Sounds like a case of the bubble guts later. Ew. We ordered Newcastle bottles, and they smelled really skunky… it was disappointing. Plus, the bartender was too busy talking to other employees than helping us. She was extremely slow and not friendly at all. Another disappointment. I love country music, but the DJ was horrible. I wonder if he ever questions himself as to why nobody was on the dancefloor? I am not sure that this place is worth ever visiting again — unless it’s during NFR, PBR or ACMA week when there are REAL cowboys and cowgirls there and not some wannabes.

Stoney’s has moved! We all know that previous location close to the Southpoint casino, however as of last year, they’ve relocated to Townsquare. I think it just adds to the great vibe that Townsquare has. The inside has not changed. Looks like your typical saloon, just much more grandiose. Huge dance floor for line dancing, two huge bars and lots of urinals and stalls in the bathroom… a plus! I’m always a fan of the pool tables, mechanical bull and beer pong tables. What I really like about this place is that everyone has the same expectation: to dance the night away! Everyone is so good and really makes the vibe that much better. If you’re a new dancer, no worries, everyone is super cool and is always there to help you out! I love Stoney’s and started to make this my typical Thursday night hangout!
