Lali-Bela Ethiopian Restaurant

Extremely poor customer service. Whoever took my order over the phone botched the order terribly, despite the fact that both I and the other server there verified what the item was. I did not discover the mistake until I arrived home, 30 minutes later. Not wanting to make the drive back, I tried to discuss some options with the same server over the phone. She had trouble understanding me, to the point of not being able to properly take down my phone number. She told me her boss would be there in one hour and to call back then. When I called back, she told me he was not there and to call back tomorrow at 2:30. I was excited to try this restaurant, but now I will not go back and I will not recommend the restaurant to anyone else. I am still trying to get a refund for my botched order. It’s a basic necessity for a server to be able to communicate with restaurant patrons, and when the server is unable to do so, and is unable to find someone who can, that is unacceptable.

This restaurant is a very simple place with excellent food. In the two hoursI spent in the place the only clients were Ethiopian men.
People were very friendly but if you are going as a couple I would think you would be more comfortable at Meskeram or Merkato Ethiopian Café. However, the two women on the waitstaff were stunning.
