L Makeup Institute

L Makeup Institute is like a tall drink of water in the desert, as far as professional make up education in Las Vegas goes! It’s really the only game in town to learn makeup, bodypaint and special fx. Their teachers are the best in town and truly care about their students. Lissette the owner is fully invested in the ultimate success of the school’s graduates. As owner of Skin City Body Painting in Las Vegas, I have taken on many of their students as interns and bodypaint assistants and I’m excited to watch them grow into full-​time artists so I can hire them for jobs! I know if they come from this school that they will be responsible, professional and a pleasure to work with. I for one am definitely glad this school is in our community! (+ the fancy makeup supply store attached to the school is the best place in town to purchase supplies for your professional kit!)

I am currently attending The L Makeup Institute and I can easily speak for a lot of people, this school is hands down the best school if you’re looking to pursue your dreams of being a makeup artist in film, beauty, prosthetics, body paint. The list goes on. I’ve never met more enthusiastic, hands on teachers. I appreciate my teacher Chris she’s passionate about what she does she is absolutely amazing and has helped make this experience even more than anything I expected! I can’t wait to keep embarking on this journey of a lifetime and see everyone grow together, not to mention everybody in my class is totally awesome. (More like family) The front desk is friendly when you walk in. Erika the retail associate and helps us out in the classroom whenever we need her. The owners are personable and fun, lissette makes sure to stop in the class to see what we’re doing, and of course is always ready to help. Lisa and kayla are more than just the biggest cheerleaders for the company they make sure that everyone is staying on task and they always have smiles on their face, they make us feel comfortable. They welcome us at any time during break or lunch to talk and ensure us to graduate and direct us to the next steps.

BUUUUUT this «school» is OVERPRICED!
EVERYTHING taught in the 26 days can be learned on YOUTUBE. All you young girls trying to get into the industry of makeup SAVE your 5 grand on YOUR OWN MU KIT and learn from workshops and online. You don’t need an official CERTIFICATE to land makeup jobs or join any makeup unions.
Do your research and save your money.

I never write these things, but after today’s visit with Lissette and then with Cris, I had to write and tell you what a wonderful job and outstanding customer service I received at your store today. Cris you are amazing and thank you for helping me today get the information and products that I needed.
You have inspired me to go back to wearing makeup again and possibly learning this trade. I look forward to seeing you again and learning how I can do my makeup better so that it looks like it did today after you were finished. It looked so amazing that my family wanted to know what I did and where I got the make up, so I told them.
You are my new favorite go to place to buy makeup. Money well spent and lesson well learned.
