My daughter has been at Kay Carl since 2012 and I could not be happier with this school and staff the past two years. The Principal Mrs. Swann is amazing! She knows all her students by name and you will find her all over the campus. She runs a tight ship with high expectations from her staff and they rise to the challenge. If you have an issue it will be handled and your voice will be heard. Staff is very accommodating of special needs students.

So far I’m not happy. I registered my son since may before my children where out of school, now keep in mind my son was in a Clark County school literally about 2 miles away all school year 2014 – 2015. I registered early to make this transition as smooth and carefree as possible. I sign up for the campus site. Everything there shows all is in good order. I begin receiving notifications and welcome packets for my son. … everything except the teacher information. So I don’t think much of it. I go today to the greet to meet and while there I am informed that my son who is going to 3rd grade this year has kindergarten information and he was NOT assigned to a teacher. I was them informed that I should wait and see until Monday and call during the day to get a possible resolution. … so, your telling me that you would like my son to miss the first day of school? Ummmm, so at this school we are teaching the children that missing one day is ok because of unorganized and unprepared adults? Come on! This happens EVERY school year. Let me just say that this is unacceptable and this is one of the very very many reasons why Nevada is number 50 for education.
