Love these guys! Excellent services from everyone involved. Wehad a leak in our upstairs laundry room, which was caused by water not draining properly after we disconnected the hoses on the washer (to get a new washer). The builder’s sub-​contractor (Richmond American) actually cracked the plastic housing around the faucets, causing the water to leak into the wall, rather than go down the drainpipe as it should have. The 2-​day leak took out our carpet, walls in laundry & bathroom, and garage ceiling.
Javier showed up to give me the estimate — and Manny’s guys did excellent work on putting my garage ceiling back together, fixing my walls and laying new carpet. When lights would not come back on for some reason — Javier had me call in a licensed electrician to figure it out. And they did — and J&J covered the cost of that repair because as the homeowner I had no idea when it happened, only that I didn’t have lights in 2 bathrooms, the garage & the front door!
This was a very good, on-​time job!

We contacted this company based on their reviews here on Unilocal.We met them at the property and were told we would have a bid by the following Monday.
Monday came and went and nothing.
Text messages went unanswered.
Finally I get a message saying, «I’m sorry I’m afraid we’ll pass»
I asked why?
Answer was «We are busy»
Now are you telling me they didn’t know how busy they were 2 weeks prior when they came out and viewed the job? They couldn’t tell me then they wouldn’t be able to do it?
We are now set 2 weeks back on our project moving forward.
Really bad business!
I would warn — if you are going to use them — get the quote right away because if it doesn’t come back then it probably won’t and you will be left hanging!

I had a water heater that broke which flooded my condo and caused major damage. The first company I called out for emergency repair was very unprofessional and did not keep me updated or communicate with my tenant. After they completed their tear down I decided to change companies to repair the unit. I contacted J & J Contracting and spoke to Javier. He assured me they would get right on it. They kept me updated on the work schedule and answered all my questions. I received a call from my tenant informing me that she was very impressed with their work and professional manner. They repaired my unit to exactly what the insurance appraiser said it would be. They were no hidden charges and they completed the work in a timely manner. I would recommend J & J Contracting to anyone who is looking for a reliable company. Rich Moniz.

The one thing that really stood out about J&J in comparison to other contractors I spoke with is that the owner actually took a genuine interest in my restoration. He seemed just as excited to help me find flooring, cabinets, etc as I was to have it done. My little restoration wasn’t «just another job» to J&J, they really seemed to care. I know I can be difficult to work with and even so, they were still very patient with me and all my questions/​concerns. They were always available when I called and were pretty good at always being on time at arriving.
