This place isn’t worth even one star. The owner/receptionist is shady. Was quoted over the phone exactly what I wanted. How did just a blow out double in price over the phone to after I was done? The guy who did it was great. But the owner is a money hungry LIAR!!! I will NEVER come back. U should be ashamed of yourself. And the girl who did my moms hair was even worse. Bad day! Bad experience.

My mom always goes to this salon, she loves it. She took me there to dye my hair for the first time. I was a bit nervous. I showed the hair artist pictures of different hair designs with highlights. The end result is beautiful and have been keeping the same style since then. They have touched up my hair since then. I have a very long hair and it is thick as well, yet made an amazing job. They also provide coffee, soda, water, tea, and snack for there customers :)

RUN– do not walk– to any other salon. First, you will find your price for services is like negotiating the price for a souvenir in Tijuana. Once you finally settle on a price, your color will be slapped on and you’ll be lucky if it doesn’t stain half of your face. You’ll sit through one of the worst shampoo experiences, only to find yourself dripping wet and holding your own towel. I used the excuse that I had to leave for a meeting to avoid the haircut I had agreed to because I didn’t dare allow their scissors near my head. The blow out left me damp and as I– clearly upset– paid the bill with zero tip– the manager was silent. This entire salon is a has been. I have no doubt that at some point in the 80s it was great, but the entire place lacks the modern facilities that I have come to associate with Paul Mitchell salons. Not only would I not recommend this salon, but I will go out of my way to discourage anyone who cares about their hair from coming here.

I haven’t been here in a few years, but I chose Gabriella to color my hair plantinum. I have one word to describe my experience and finished product… AMAZING! She took my salt and pepper look to platinum blonde in two settings… and yes I still have my hair. If you want color done the way you want and the right way ask for Gabriella. She is super sweet and knowledgeable.

This place is such a scam! Don’t wAste your time! I called ahead to assure myself that they had a knowledgeable stylist that can do a rotor retouch and full highlight on a blonde. I arrived, there was 20 styling chairs and one stylist. REDFLAG! She thought we should do a root retouch $ 65, shine $ 175, trim $ 65. Umm $ 305?! And she said I was getting a discount. Lmao I looked at the reviews for this«shine» thing that is suppose to blend my hair and the reviews were bad and the charge is $ 40 all over the place, but I guess they were trying to get $ 175 from me. The«receptionist» was explaining her manager approved the amount, I could hear the shaking in her voice that was was scamming me. I told them I wasn’t comfortable with that and we will just do the root retouch which a moment ago I was informed was $ 65(even displayed on their website). She told me she had to call her manager for approval. Sooo another REDFLAG! If the prices are fixed, why is she constantly calling her manager, & why was she whispering on the phone?! So she came back& said the root retouch was$ 150. What the hell! I asked how it was $ 65 a moment ago and now it’s $ 150. She said because of the length of my hair. Umm. So my roots just grew 20 feet in 5 minutes ?!? She was nervous as she explained this and I could see I was being scammed. I got up and walked out. Do not waste your time. An advertised price & quoted price for a root retouch is $ 65. But then if I don’t spend $ 305, then the price goes up to $ 150?! Makes no logical sense and is a complete scam, no wonder they had NO business and 30 empty chairs. What a joke. They should be shut down.

At Hypnotic, your appointment will be on time. They are reliable. That says a lot for a Vegas hair salon.

I wish there was a negative star for this place! Dirty! The owner charges hundreds and hundreds for cosmetology school services! Shes not a cosmetologist and shes unprofessional! The stylist working there are completely slow and clueless, basically using the clients as practice. And not only that, the place has hair, hair dye and dirt all over the place! I will be calling the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology on these people! How can they get away with charging $ 65 a haircut when its not even a quality cut, anyone can go to supercuts for 15 and have a real professional haircut done! and FYI your DETOX service is illegal! I have no idea how this place stayed open this long! Update: was NEVERTERMINATED I quit! and before you start giving out my «W4» to anyone since it should not be on Unilocal I will bring charges up on you for giving any of my information out!

Mariah is the best of the best. Hands down, the best stylist/hairdresser I’ve ever experienced at Hypnotic and I’ve been a regular for the past 2.5 years. A true passion for creating a «custom haircut.» If you see anyone request her. Absolutely wonderful.

I will NEVER come here again. I looked online because I wanted to go to a nicer place than the usual«Super Cuts» because it was the week before my bday and I was going to California. I had seen online that they had a first time customer special starting at $ 45. I have very long hair so I knew going in it would be more that the«starting at» price. I figured $ 60 tops, I made an appointment online for a few hours later. I get there and they take me back and wash my hair and when I was taken back to the chair I was told it was going to be $ 85! $ 85 for a haircut! Not even a major haircut, all I wanted was to get the dead ends off and my layers/bangs tidied up. I said I could not pay that and that I was under the impression it would be a little more than the $ 45 price I had seen on the website I made my appt on. They went back on the phone and said they could do it for $ 75 and the hair dresser told me it was because she was their«master stylist»(what a joke!). I agreed because I felt a bit stuck at that point(my first mistake besides choosing this place). While she’s cutting my hair she asked what side I parted my hair, I told her it was to the side and she parts it and cuts my bangs ALL on just that side, not in the middle like they should, by the time she cut it it was too late. She finished cutting and styled it with just a blow dryer and brush, I’ve had them do that better at a Supercuts for 3 times less than by Hypnotics«Master stylist». After a few days I went to go style my hair like I normally do and saw so many uneven places. Because she didn’t cut my bangs in the middle and only to one side, when I went to part my hair it wasn’t the exact place she did when she cut them and I had all the long, uneven strands of hair in my face all day. And now that it’s growing back it’s even worse. I literally just keep my hair up constantly now because I absolutely HATE the way she cut my hair. This place was the first place that i’ve gone to to get my hair cut in over 5 years that wasn’t a Supercuts and it was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made. Because of this place I will NEVER go anywhere else now. I can’t believe I WASTED almost $ 100 on one of the worst hair cuts I’ve ever received. Whomever hired this«master stylist» really needs to be fired and have their cosmetology license revoked, I’m not sure what qualifies that person to be a «master stylist», but cutting hair well WASNOTONEOFTHEM. Worst $ 75, plus tip, I’ve EVER spent. THought I was going to have a really nice haircut for my birthday, in the end I received one of the WORST haircuts I’ve had(and I’ve cut my own hair and have NO experience!) Stay clear of this rip off! You’re just wasting your money, ESPECIALLY if someone tries to tell you they’re the«Master stylist». Wish I could give this place a negative rating, but 1 star will have to do.

I am visiting Vegas for a few weeks and needed my tape extensions maintenanced. I found Hypnotic online and was helped by Sharon and another woman whose name I didn’t get. Both ladies were extremely gentle with my hair which is so important with extensions. They did a great job re-taping them and I am so happy with the result. I would definitely recommend them for your extension needs!!!

DONOT get a hair detox. They have false advertisement and it will not help you pass and no money back guarantee. Absolutely bad business and a waste of $ 250. Absolutely dissatisfied and will be letting people know of this.

First of all, I didn’t end up having my hair done here. I looked them up on Unilocal over the weekend and used the chat on their website to get a rough idea of what they charge for partial highlights. After a ten minute wait and repeating the question, the reply was that they start at $ 65. Ok, seems reasonable. I called today to verify and make an appointment. Again, they start at $ 65. My hair is long, so I expected to pay a little more. Not a big deal. I went in this afternoon and they seated me, gave me a bottle of water and got into the consult. The price was $ 150 for just the partial highlights. When I reminded them of the quote I got twice, they offered to come down to $ 130. Only double. I decided to pass. They were very, very nice about the whole thing. It was just a bad match. I would not go back there, because of the lack of transparency in their pricing.

Amazing customer service right as you walk in the store all the way to the end. Got a great hair cut as well she knew how to give me exactly what I was asking for. I’ve been to several places around vegas and this is the first place that has impressed me I’ll be going back regularly.

Great location for Summerlin A warm welcome greeted me when I entered, inquiring of what kind of haircut I needed I needed a smart army style summer cut. I was immediately seated with a professional hairstylist and the process started. It was a rather hazel free experience giving other saloons ask so many ??? The saloon is well equipped, it’s got all the latest gadgets. Well trained staff n for me they delivered what I asked for a good summer cut. I will back here, it will be my local now Good place to get your hair done

I was visiting from out of town and this place is extremely overpriced and the service was decent but the quality was horrible! My highlights if that is what you would like to call them were barely noticeable and the cut was uneven. I did not notice the uneven cut until I returned home. I then proceeded to email them and they advised that I could come back and they would fix it, I live in California so this is not possible. I had my hair done by Brook, who is actually the front desk person as I found out once she handed me her card. I have filed a dispute complaint with my credit card company. DONOT go here! If you want to spend the money and be in an actual salon environment and not that of a strip mall go to any of the salons inside the hotel. I have had better cuts and highlights from the bargain priced box stores.

I walked in one day and the girl who was doing my simple hair cut didn’t know what she is suppose to do. I asked the other girl to help and she did ok job after words. It was ok but still not enough for$ 55 I paid. I can not say about everyone at that place but my experience was simply horrible.

Let me first start by saying that I went here years ago, and the guy that I saw did a GREAT job, although it was very pricey. So this week, I decided I wanted to go back to blonde from being brunette. My hairdresser was on maternity leave, so I called up hypnotic to see if I could come in. They got me in right away. I sat down, and the stylist and I discussed if I wanted to gradually get back to blonde with highlights or if I wanted to just go blonde all over. I said blonde all over. She took me to the back and put bleach on my hair– then covered it with a HOT towel. I told her it burned, and she just said, oh yeah thats the bleach.(my scalp is now a little burned). She washed it off, took me back to her chair and looked slightly perplexed as she looked at my ORANGE hair. I asked her, its not going to look like that, is it? She assured me we weren’t done and said she«wouldn’t let me walk out looking like this.» She proceeded to put highlights in. Once the highlights were out– she used a toner, then took me back to her chair– where I still saw ORANGE hair– only this time with highlights. She THEN started to explain that going from brown to blonde was a process and I would need to come back for more highlights in a few weeks. So basically she WAS going to send me out looking like this. I asked for a trim– she just cut the bottom. Didn’t even touch my bangs, and blow dried it. I had another appointment I had to be at so I didnt have time to voice my concerns over my orange hair at this time– plus i was in sticker shock at the OVER300 I was being charged for this crap color. That night, after my appointment, I called and left a message asking if someone could call me regarding fixing the color, as it was very orange. The next day the manager called and basically told me that I had asked for the blonde and that there was nothing they could do for the orange– that I would have to come back in four weeks for more highlights. she also said the stylist who did my hair the prior day was not there today and couldn’t fix it. I told her I could NOT walk around with ORANGE hair for four weeks– and requested another stylist fix it. Long story short, another stylist fit me in and I went right down. Once there, the manager and stylist basically decided to start arguing with me, saying that«I was a little brassy» but that basically this was the look I asked for. Hesitantly, the stylist said she would fix it, after glaring at me from across the room and making me feel SUPER uncomfortable. She told me she would explain what she was going to do to fix it but said«this might be hard for you to understand, but we went to school for this.» Well, she sort of fixed it– put a toner on it again and made it less orange, but the whole experience was absolute crap. They do NOT care if you are happy with your hair, they only care to overcharge you for shit service and then try to sell you products afterwards. I would NEVER, ever, EVER go back here again. EVER. Also, just a side note– when I went in that day, the girl that had done my hair the previous day WAS there(why even lie about that?) — and to the snotty girl who«fixed my hair” — I would have tipped you for taking the time to «help» me, had you been the least bit kind, but no.

Update since my last review. Although I am ok with my hair, the low level of professionalism on this visit tells me not to return. There was a novice hair stylist that made my visit very uncomfortable. She kept asking my stylist how to fix her mess up and even subjected me to a bargaining deal between her and another client(this made me question if I was being overcharged). Fortunately, my stylist was professional, but she seemed distracted by the other stylist’s shenanigans. I had the best stylist the first time I came here and I don’t know if she works there anymore. For the pricing, you may be better served going to a salon where you don’t have to listen to salon gossip between employees or wonder why you are$ 75 more than the client sitting next to just because she scoffed at the pricing.
