Another stop on our brew tour in Vegas. Great atmosphere, music and friendly staff. Brew was some of the best in town.

I’ve tried many of the microbrews around town, and Hop Nuts definitely is close to, if not at, the top. If you are into hops and IPAs, this is the place to go for a local brew. The restaurant is located in the arts district so there’s a bunch of cool bars around so the area is worth a go on its own. The beers are $ 6 or $ 12 for 54−5oz tasters. They have about 10 – 12 of their own brews and rotating guest taps. They also have a happy hour 4−7pm where pints are $ 4. The restaurant has a cool vibe to it, as well, and you can play board games, darts, or just hang inside or out on the front porch. I’m still trying all the microbreweries throughout Vegas, but I think I might have just found my favorite. I don’t think they bottle or sell outside the bar so I will need to be back to try their rotating selections.

I finally make it here(about) a year after they open… and I could walk here from work! Dangerous. Their location is convenient if you enjoy Downtown. My visit started out with a Unilocal goodie– 6 oz taster with check in! Gotta love it! A friend who raves about this place loves the brew selection and was right about their nice variety. One of their guest taps, Blackberry barleywine, stands out as well as Hop Nuts red ale. Service was fine but with one bartender there will be some wait time. $ 4 pints at happy hour is incentive for a return visit soon!

I stopped in after Makers and Finders to see what they had. I got a beer flight which had some really good brews and a couple I wasn’t too keen on. The pours for the flight are large so I wasn’t able to finish even the one I really liked. No food offered but they did have delivery menus available. I’ll have to stop by again when I’m in the area.

This place is great! Super chill and super friendly. We went here at an odd time so I’m not sure how it is during weekend nights. But my group was able to just hang out and catch up with each other without any disturbance from noise or people. The bartenders were so friendly and helpful. Our first bartender helped us choose which house beer to get for our pitchers that we were getting. I told her I didn’t want anything hoppy and recommended me their pale ale which was great. She also let us sample a few of their other beers. She was super helpful and you can also tell that she knows her beers well. There was a shift change while we were there and the other bartender was also very nice and let us have someone deliver food inside the place. He even asked if we needed any more forks for our food. Really nothing bad to say about the place. This is the perfect place to catch up with good friends that you actually want to talk to!

Always a good selection. Knowledgeable and friendly bartenders. Obviously, the check in deal is pretty sweet. Plus, they’ll let ya sample whatever you like. Good layout, and interesting crowd when it gets busy.

Clean and friendly! Great selection of beers that are made on site. These guys know how to brew and how to treat their customers. The Hopathon IPA is a must try. 15 different brews on tap and many other options at your request. Come in and feel like part of the family.

If you’re looking to have fun here, don’t come on a Monday night. First time here and I guess it was open mic night. We sat all the way in the back but we were constantly told to be quiet and stop talking. It’s a bar. What else do you expect to do in a bar? We ended up leaving for another place nearby. Whoever runs the open mic was rude and didn’t even work at the place. First time here and probably never going to come back. Save yourself some time and go somewhere else.

Bring a date here. Don’t bring a male friend like I did. Kind of a waste of the view eh? We had a great view of the strip, great music, and the best bar. Seriously, go here just to eat some free nuts with your drink.

Off the path. Nice break from the lights of Vegas. Great house brews as well as guest breweries. Take a seat at the bar or linger at a few bar tables. Stouts and porters available. Nice taster sample for checking in. You can order food to be delivered. Plenty of street parking.

A nice little brewery in the arts district. They have a few taps of their own beers, and a few taps from other breweries. I had their Oktoberfest and it wasn’t too bad, but nothing special. No food here but they do have takeout menus for places nearby. I was sort of surprised they didn’t have any chips or pretzels at the least.

Fun little spot on Main that makes their own brews, has games on the counter to play, and gets delivery from your favorite local eateries. We ordered the Golden ale and a mixed cocktail. We had a great server who was attentive and helped us choose great selections.

First stop on my 2015 Las Vegas Brewery tour and my friend and I had a great outing. I was able to sample a couple of their IPA’s brewed right here on Main St. I enjoyed the full hoppy flavor that was poured into my glass. I really enjoy how they post the IBU’s and alcohol content right on the board so you can see what you are getting. This is a common practice with breweries but something I can appreciate. Happy hour pricing is very fair at just $ 5.00 a pint. Another bonus on this visit was that you can receive a free taster of your choice with a Unilocal check-in. No food is served at Hop Nuts but they have a menu board of nearby restaurants that will deliver while you sit at the bar or outdoor patio and enjoy your beer. They have about 20 different places to choose from all of which are very good and local. No restaurant chains on this list. Don’t worry you could throw a dart at the board wherever it lands you can guarantee you will get a good meal. I will be back to Hop Nuts sooner than later and prior to going full circle on the Las Vegas Brewery Tour. Enjoy!

BESTIPAINLASVEGAS!!! 5⁄5!!! Boom!!! I said it. been to almost all the breweries in Las Vegas and Hop Nuts IPA is the deal! Other beers aren’t that bad but IPA lovers… do not worry and order a PINT! As for other drinks they have a FULLBAR! TIP — if you check-in on Unilocal, you get a free taster Service 5⁄5 — The bartenders here are great! They are all very nice and like to strike up conversations with you. Slight downside though if the place is packed there is usually only one bartender so sometimes you will have to wait just a slight minute. But most of the time its never too crowded unless there is a special event going on. Food? — So they don’t have food here but they basically have all the local restaurant menu’s in the area. AND they don’t mind if you bring food in. I basicall went to tacos el gordo and brought in my adobado fries and had it with a pint of IPA… seriously heaven moment! The last few months I have been coming here to watch sports games… GO! try it out!!!

I love Hopnuts! Free wifi, playing fun tunes, large and airy, and good brews. I had been excited for this place from when I peered into the glass months ago to see what was going next to Maker’s and Finders. So I stopped in a Friday night recently to check it out. Luckily, we found a spot, literally out front, which can be hard to do in this area. I imagine that later on in the night and during First Friday, it will be a pain to find parking for this place. When we strolled up, there was a huge canvas that was in the process of being painted on in the front area. Adds to the arts district vibe. The bartenders were super friendly and there is even a nice little Unilocal check-in gift of beer taster. I tried the 18b pale ale for my sample and the Hefeweizen. The Hefewieizen was thick and crisp brew to me put I enjoyed it all the same. Tips: they do not serve food, but they have a board that notifies you of the places where you can order food to be delivered to you at the bar. So keep that in mind if you were wanting some noshes while drinking. Also, the bathroom is shared with Maker’s and Finders, which means it can seem a little hard to find. Will definitely be back here and I can’t wait to bring other people when you want to chill and talk with some friends over local brews.

I am being generous and giving them 3 stars. I love supporting local businesses, especially when it comes to beer. However, they have some kinks to work out, as I just don’t think they are«there» yet. It’s in a good location — just down the street from Velveteen Rabbit in the Arts District. It’s a nice space, but definitely seemed like a work in progress(there was a large circular saw out front). The staff was very friendly(this is where they get the extra star) and there is also a Unilocal check in offer for a free taster. Although I wasn’t impressed by any of the beers, that won’t stop me from going back. The beer will only continue to get better and Vegas really needs more tasting rooms!

This place is pretty legit. It’s a nice brewery to unwind with a couple of great beers and to chill. The first thing that hit me about the place was that it was pretty big but not empty. Place had people in it. It’s always nice when there are some other bodies in a bar. They had some nice tunes playing. Heavy on Pharell, with some Snoop Dogg and Lupe Fiasco in there. It was nice chill music. I’m catching a trend here. Had two of their brews. I had the XPA which was an extra pale ale. It had some flair without being too overpowering and had a nice finish. Wasn’t too bad at all. The other brew was the Pale ale. It didn’t have as much flavor as the XPA and had a bit of an after taste going down. Something I couldn’t put my finger on. Didn’t like it as much as the XPA but it was still really smooth and worth a pint for sure. The bartenders were very nice. They have a few TVs with some sports on them. They had a chick painting outside. There was a lot of activity without being too overwhelming. Definitely going to keep coming back to this place. It has good brews, it has character, it has space, it has tunes. Definitely check out this place.

Pretty solid place! Came for the first time last night for one of the homie’s birthday, located right next to Makers & Finders. There was a lot of seating and I really liked the idea of the outdoor patio they had. Best place to park was behind Casa Don Juan. I tried the Golden Monkey, 9.5% alcohol &20IBU. I don’t like bitter beers so this one was perfect for me. I also like the higher percentage alcohol beers cause they’re sweeter. Really easy to drink and average pricing at $ 6 a pint. My boyfriend had their West Coast Wheat Ale, 4.6% alcohol &28IBU. This one was lighter and fresher tasting than the one I went with. He said it kind of tasted like a hoppy wheat ale, like an IPA. One of the drinks our friend got was amazing. It was a porter-styled beer with espresso from Makers & Finders in it! Basically the story was that they put around 45 shots of espresso in one of their beer kegs! I definitely recommend to give that a try! Genius! They don’t offer food here however they have this board with all the places you can request delivery from. This was mainly why I said 3 stars. But definitely closer to 3.5. 4 stars if they had food on location. But pretty cool with their delivery idea! Overall, really clean and a great place for people that like beer! Make sure to check-in for a free 6 oz. taster :)

A new brewery in the Art District of Las Vegas. The surrounding area is kind of ghetto(especially at night), but I’d still recommend checking this place out. Samples are 6 oz each. You can opt to buy a tasting set of 5 samples for $ 12. That means $ 12 will get you 30OZ of beer! Great prices. The ales are solid; I enjoyed the Red Ale & Pale ale. The porter &IPA’s were solid too. I didn’t care much for the extra pale ale & Imperial IPA. TIPS: –Parking sucks.

So we decided to check out this little hole in the wall bar that just opened, and we were quite delighted at what we found. It’s very simple unassuming bar with great beer, great service, and great atmosphere, and they brew their own beer! There isn’t much decoration going on, but I think that is a work in progress. It was too cold to sit on the patio but when it gets nice out, that is going to a prime spot to hang out at. The most important thing is that this is a nice relaxed bar with extremely reasonable drink prices(as compared to some of the other new bars downtown, ugh). Our group of 6 grabbed a table and a round of drinks. I stuck to my vodka soda splash of cran, but most everyone tried the beers and agreed that their favorite is the Hop Nuts double IPA. I don’t even like IPA and I found it to be very smooth and delicious. My friend said that they have a Hefe that won a bunch of awards but they didn’t have it available last night. The owner said they are in the brewing process and it will ready in a couple weeks. I love Hefeweizen so I can’t wait! We started out grabbing drinks at the bar, but the owner and bartender came over often to check on us and would bring us our drinks, which was so awesome and nice. The owner, Kevin, offered to give us a tour of the brewery, which was super cool. There were a lot of people in there for a Sunday night, and I’m sure it’s because the drinks and staff are great and you’re not paying an arm and a leg for a drink. We were excited to find a new fun spot to hang out at. Thanks for the hospitality Kevin!
