We stopped in after our long jaunt from Yosemite through Death Valley. After a LONG drive we were ready for a refuel. This was exactly what we were looking for. Fantastic burgers and shakes. Perfect for us and the kids. All their shakes can me made for kids or adults with alcohol. I had the Greek burger which had fantastic flavor in the lamb, highly recommend everyone to try. Also the onion rings where cook perfect, hate when you bite an onion ring and the whole onion comes out, not here, perfect! Lastly very conveniently located right in the Cosmopolitan where we stayed, great atmosphere with the crystal lounge right outside.

This was our last meal in Vegas before our flight back to the Bay Area. Visited around 4pm on a Monday and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was extremely friendly, helpful, and courteous as we decided what to order. We appreciated the complimentary paprika-flavored popcorn served to our table. Tip: Free Holsteins lager if you check in on Unilocal! Truffle Lobster Mac and Cheese($ 16.50) — Small, yet filling portion of mac and cheese. The lobster bits were actually super meaty and generous. The Fun-Ghi($ 17) — Mushrooms and burger were both overcooked. My husband asked for medium rare and it was served medium. The accompanying French fries were missing an umph! My husband and I aren’t sure what the hype is all about with this place… Our dining experience wasn’t spectacular or anything. We may have missed out on the milkshakes, though. Until next time!

Burgers, fries, and shakes, the perfect hangover trifecta! My friends and I came for brunch even though we weren’t hungover, since we were looking for a good burger. It was packed at the bar since there were a good amount of people here to watch the conference finals for football, and they were charging a $ 40 minimum or something crazy to watch from the«lounge» area behind the bar seats. We lucked out and got one of the last tables at the restaurant part with a TV, and had a good lunch and spot to watch the game. We tried: –Complimentary Popcorn( ): Super addicting– they sprinkle a spicy-ish powder on top, and the popcorn is nice and crispy. A good way to start the meal, but it’s also difficult to stop eating. –Captain Hook(Seared Salmon w/Remoulade Sauce, Smoked Salmon, Frissee, Pickled Shallots, Served w/Fries, $ 17, ): I really liked this burger– the salmon was cooked perfectly, and it was a nice change from the other beef burgers we tried. Recommended! Their regular fries are just average– they needed to be fried more as well as more salt. –The Fun-Ghi(Beef Patty Topped w/Forest Mushrooms, Caramelized Onion, Gruyère Cheese, Frisee, Truffle Mayo, $ 17 + Onion Rings $ 2.50, ): Good flavor, but really salty. You have to like mushrooms and caramelized onions to like this burger, and the gruyère was quite overpowering. This wasn’t a bad burger aside from the saltiness, but I liked the other two we ordered more. The onion rings were pretty disappointing since the breading was way too thick/heavy, so I wouldn’t get those again. –The Rising Sun(Kobe Beef, Teriyaki Glaze, Nori Furikake, Crispy Yam, Spicy Mayo, Tempura Avocado, $ 18 + Sweet Potato Fries $ 2.50, ): Yum– this was our favorite burger since it was also the most unique. It was borderline too salty, but the crispy yam and avocado helped save it. Highly recommended! The sweet potato fries were also our favorite out of the fries/onion ring– they had the perfect amount of crispiness. –Virgin Frozen Grasshopper Milkshake(Peppermint, Chocolate, $ 9, ): Yum, this was a good mint chocolate chip inspired milkshake. You’ll be crunching on chocolate bits throughout though. –Bloody Mary($ 13): Yuck, do not bother ordering this here, this was a waste of money. It needed more spices, and there was no celery stick! Our server was new, and you could tell he was a bit nervous. However, he was really nice as was the other staff– they originally gave me regular fries instead of the sweet potato fries I ordered, and were apologetic when I pointed it out and went to put in an order for the sweet potato fries right away. Our drinks took a while to come, but the wait wasn’t too bad. Overall, we had some great burgers here and will definitely be back!

Great burger joint. I got the rising sun and it’s yummy. Next time I will ask for the teriyaki sauce on the side as it can be a little too sweet. The oreo milkshake is out of this world. It gets pretty loud in the restaurant.

It should be called«Shakes & Buns & Bloody Marys.» It has a full bar, some nice noshies, and is a great place to rest up after hiking up and down the strip. Also, the service was very good. Nothing fancy, but a good place to re-charge.

It’s all about the burger! Definitely recommend the Kobe Beef Patty, don’t try to save a couple of bucks cos you’ve already made it all the way here. It’s so so much juicier. Great beer list and next time I’m gonna try the shakes for sure.

According to Urban Dictionary, «nom nom» means to eat with extreme delight… the burger-shake-classy atmosphere at Holstein’s sets you up to do just that. The nom nom burger was cooked perfectly and the ingredients made it sound delectably simple(meat, cheese, potato chips, and Thousand Island dressing), but it was still pretty fancy and didn’t meet expectations. I’d give it one«nom.» However, the fries that came with the burger were really good. I wasn’t in the mood for a shake, but they have lots of really good sounding options if I’m there again. Note: The Thousand Island dressing does have ground up pickles in it, but they’re not overpowering, and the dressing is pretty good.

I stopped here for dinner recently while staying at the Paris Hotel. I loved the atmosphere! I liked that it didn’t feel like it was in the hotel/casino. Our waiter, Tiffanie, was adorable and had a great energy. She recommended the Bob’s Tea cocktail so I tried it. I was a little nervous as I don’t love tequila, but don’t hate it either. I’m so glad I listened to her, because it was perfect! Refreshing, a little fruity, and ends with a kick from the jalapeño. My second was spicier and stronger, so it definitely varies. For the meal, I split the truffle lobster macaroni and cheese as a starter. It was delicious! Less fishy than other lobster pasta dishes I’ve had before, and the perfect size to split between two people, since it’s definitely rich. I followed that up with the The Rising Sun burger with a vegan patty. The teriyaki glaze was so flavorful, but not too much, and I loved the light tempura fried avocado. It was a perfect combination! Unfortunately I didn’t have any appetite when it was time for dessert, I was too full from everything else. I definitely want to come back for a boozey milkshake soon!

Mmmmmm. … Fruit loops milkshake! ! –the crunchy cereal with vanilla ice cream is like your childhood in liquid form! I suggest sharing with someone though, because it’s a lot and you don’t want the cereal to get too soggy Mushroom burger –juicy and tasty. It was good bit not mind blowing Definitely returning to this place to try a different milkshake flavor!

«Man who invented the hamburger was smart; man who invented the cheeseburger was a genius.» ― Matthew McConaughey Preach. So I’ve been wanting to try Holstein’s for a while and on my most recent trip to Vegas, we popped in for dinner. Although I was eyeing the adult milkshakes, being lactose intolerant had me looking the other way. I didn’t want the test my luck that night, even with a purse full of Lactaid. You only live once but I rather not spend it in a day of agony. TMI? Too bad. This is my review so suck it, Trebek. This gastropub is brightly lit and adorable with all the cow motifs. The artwork is cute as heck and the food is amazing. Upon being seated, they bring you free flavored popcorn. I’m not a big popcorn person but it had me reaching for popcorn after popcorn! I had me the Urth Burger [House Made Vegan Patty With Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber, Sprouts & Avocado] and my dinner companion, the cutiepie Matt C., had the Nom Nom Burger [Kobe Beef, Cheddar Cheese, Potato Chips, 1000 Island Dressing]. Although I was hella craving for some vegetables, one bite of the Nom Nom Burger had me jealous. It was juicy, cheesy, and so dang flavorful. I also like the bite of the chips in the Nom Nom Burger. As I passed Matt his burger back, I could only look down at my veggie burger with disappointment. Dang it! He got the fries and I got onion rings with our burgers and we shared them. Both of these little munchies made for an excellent leftover midnight snack as well! Don’t forget to check-in to get a free 12oz. Holstein’s house brew! Matt C. beat me to the punch so we compromised and I drank majority of it. It’s good to be The Empress.

I just can’t resist a huge buttery slab of foie gras set atop a delicious burger! 1) quick service 2) billionaire burger! 3) sweet potato fries or onion rings are extra with your burger. Otherwise, it comes with regular fries. I got the sweet potato and they were just okay. 4) didn’t get to try the shakes, but they looked good. 5) my BF got the gold standard and he was not impressed… Overall, this is the second time I’ve had the billionaire burger and it’s just as delicious as the first time I tried it. It’s a definite must stop on my list!

Nope, sorry. I’ve been to the Holstein’s in Costa Mesa, which is apparently the newer and fancier version of this one. The menu is much more different at this location, as is the food. The fries here were terrible, stale and under-seasoned. The steak in the Thai steak salad I had was tough and mostly flavorless as well. The only saving grace was that the vegetables were fresh and the salad dressing was excellent. The service was good. Food takes a while to get out, but it was pretty busy so I didn’t care.

This place is rated for burgers, but I think it is alright. I can imagine how delicious and amazing these unique burgers are when you’re drunk, but when you’re sober, the patties aren’t cooked to the right texture… And the patty is a bit plain. The sauces and ingredients definitely make up for the patty, but… Still, im here for the burger. I’d say just get the appetizers! They’re a lot yummier(but mad expensive) and just as unique as the burgers. Cute place to hang with your friends. Amazing waitresses and waiters here! Fun cocktails!

This place was okay! I was hoping for better! We got the ahi tartar sliders which were lacking flavor and super small, got the black/white malt which was good and a great sharer. I got a burger but it wasn’t that good, it was okay and it wasn’t hot it just came out warm, the onion rings were good. It’s pretty cool inside and a chill place to hang out but the food was average. I wouldn’t come back. Oh and other reviewers mentioned they bring out popcorn unfortunately we didn’t get any. Boo =( Would come back for the shakes/malt which seem to be their speciality. Service was good too till the end till it took 15 mins to get our change back for the check. =X

With some great milk shakes, Holstein’s is a nice place to chill with friends but the sides are just okay. Leaving somewhat unfulfilled from our day at the Marquee Dayclub, my friends and I decided to roll over to Holstein’s for some shakes. In all honesty, the trip was mainly to satisfy our munchies and I am glad that the milkshakes, at least, were good. It seems like a lot of other reviews rave about the burgers which may be a reason why I was underwhelmed. Here are some of the things that we tried: Ahi Poke Tostadas– Although beautifully presented, these bite size tostada pieces were just okay and I would not recommend. Sure there is some avocado aioli that goes well with the ahi but for me it was on the bland side. The only source of heat came from the piece of jalapeño which was a little too strong of a flavor profile to enjoy the meat. Buffalo Chicken Dip — I can handle my spice, but it was slightly spicier than I would like and definitely required the dip to help with the heat. If you are looking for something spicy, this would be it. Natural Cut Fries/Sweet Potato Fries — These were cooked well but were nothing special. Buttermilk Onion Rings — Their buttermilk onion rings were probably one of the best I have had. The coating was nice and crispy and inside was a hot well cooked piece of onion in the middle. Of all the sides, I would recommend these. Milkshakes — If there was another thing that I really enjoyed were the milkshakes I had the Black and White which was rich and creamy with a nice balance of chocolate and vanilla. What I was surprised was that that they not only have the nicely presented milkshake in one glass and another cup with the leftover. My friend also got the alcoholic ones and they are deceptive! He got a major hangover afterwards so beware! Another plus here was the service. My pretty big group of friends were seated pretty quickly and the waitress we had was super friendly and attentive even on a fairly busy day. Holstein’s is located on the floor with most of the restaurant. Overall, Holstein’s has okay food but has nice milkshakes that are worth trying if that’s what you are in the mood for. However, I am willing to come back to try their burgers.

It’s pretty tasty! Service is quick and easy. It’s a tad on the pricer side though with sodas being 6 $ and burgers averaging 20 $ before adding toppings. Specifically: we started with fried pickles. They were tasty and fried.(Hard to mess up anything deep fried lol) we swapped out the caper dressing for ranch. But there were other options available. I ordered the Urth burger– the patty itself wasn’t the greatest. It was okay as far veggie patties go, but seasoning wise… meh. The toppings were amazing though. The Urtha burger came with avocado, sprouts, TWO slices of tomato, lettuce and cucumber. I added Provalone cheese, but the list if options was pretty good(read: egg, salmon, brisket, cheeses etc). My husband ordered the Nom Nom Burger medium, seemed slightly rarer than medium, so order up of your usual. He added and over easy egg toping and found it quite delicious. Service was good! Everyone was friendly and nice about switching menu items(ie gluten free buns for white, cheddar for American etc)

My cousin has been extolling the virtues of Hollstein’s for a while so I finally had a chance to try it. The adult milkshakes were very much intriguing. I had the banana foster, very creamy and they give you a lot so you can share with another person. It was a little too sweet and would be better for dessert but I preferred my beer with my burger. The burger was smaller than I had expected but that was fine since I filled up with the shake. I tried the fungi burger and it was very tasty! The mushrooms were on point. The beef was quality and juicy. I got their sweet potato fries and they were crispy and delicious too. My sis had the regular fries and they looked soggy and maybe the oil wasn’t hot enough for them? Our server was super friendly and nice. Unfortunately, a lot of their draft beers which was too bad. The restaurant is clean, bright and I love the cow artwork! Definitely a more refined burger joint!

The burgers were just okay. I tried the Rising Sun, which was recommended by our server. I believe he said it won a few awards, but I wasn’t really impressed by the burger at all. I would recommend the milkshakes. They have a special set of milkshakes on the menu that come with alcohol for about $ 13. If you choose to not include any alcohol in your shake, it will cost you a mere $ 9 like the other standard non-alcoholic shakes. Service was friendly.

Holstein’s is one of my top picks of best burgers in Vegas. I order the same burger every time and they are always consistently tasty! As the last burger option on their menu, the Billionaire Burger($ 32) is phenomenal even for the price. My first bite into the Kobe beef and foie gras had my brain screaming«ERMAGERDTHISBURGERISSOGOOD!». I try to savor each bite so that the burger lasts longer, yep I enjoy it that much. Holstein’s also offers a wide range of ‘alcoholic’ milk shakes with creative names — ie. Drunken Monkey. The portion is so large, they pretty much give you two full glasses for one order. Service has always been friendly and quick — splitting bills has never been an issue. The attentive service and delicious burgers definitely have me coming back each time I visit Sin City!

I came here to catch the NBA Finals(Warriors VS Cavs) and I wanted to drink, too. We ordered our drinks and it was perfect, not too strong and not lacking alcohol. We also ordered garlic fries, which soft and slightly crispy with lots of garlic. I thought the drinks were delicious and the bartenders were really friendly and attentive. This is the perfect atmosphere to watch a game. There were a lot of people there just for the game and the vibe was chill. I definitely want to come back to try their shakes with liquor and burgers. We need a place like this in LA. This place is located on the 2nd floor of the Cosmopolitan.

Nun sind wir schon eine Weile aus Vegas zurück und nun werde ich mal das kulinarische bewerten. Wer milchshakes mag ein absolutes muss. Was war der lecker. Jam jam.
