I wish I could give zero stars. We moved in to our new home with new laminate flooring installed. It is garbage. Gently sliding around boxes and furniture scratched the flooring. It chipped and cracked all over the house. Our 11 month old son threw a spoon from his high chair and chipped the floor. Our small dogs scratch the floor when they walk around the house. All normal activity that a quality floor should be able to withstand. One of the HM salesmen comes to the house and tries to tell us this is normal wear and tear, but he is going to follow up with the GM, but we never hear back. After I called again, the GM comes to the house and tries to tell us the damage to the floor is normal. When we slide our chairs out from the dinner table, the floor scratches, and the GM tells us that we cannot expect to be able to do that and we should pick up the chairs and move them instead of sliding! He agreed to follow up by that Friday and did not, so I called on Friday afternoon. He now agrees to email me, but does not. The product sucks… fine…but the ownership of the problem on their part is what is so terrible. UPDATE: Carlos, the GM, finally sent me an email today. They take zero responsibility for the quality of the flooring. Instead, he simply gave me some contact information for the manufacturer… apparently he wants me to contact them in China! I’m sure that will be helpful. Below is what he sent me: Mr: Dustin, It Is The Information about The Manufacture. Let Me know If You have any Question. Jiangsu Daou Decorative Material CO, LTD Mengshu Industry Zone Changzhou, Jiangsu China Tel: 86−519−8501312 – 812 Fax: 86−519−8501086

I hired a carpet installer and he sent me here to pick out carpet. I was greeted with a smile and helped upon entering the office. They didn’t seem to have a lot of the older type carpets in stock but they did find one for me that was as close as we could get. They seemed to have a lot to choose from.

I called for a carpet quote and was amazed at the incompetence. Every question was answered with a «huh?» then a long silence. After every price I would ask«Is that the price for a foot or a yard?» the responce«huh?» It was almost comical. To make it more confusing some quotes were priced by the yard and some by the foot. I finally gave up. I did the math with what little info I received and the price was $ 3500 to carpet a 650 sq foot condo unit installed. Then I did the math for just the carpet alone and it was also $ 3500. Don’t waste your time with H M Carpet. I’m not sure they know what the hell they are doing.
