Gold Elite Event: Bally’s Jubilee! Staycation

I will keep it short and sweet which is unlike me.
This was a great five year elite perk.
The room was nice — I got upgraded to a jacuzzi tub suite versus the Bellgio view regular rooms. I’ll take the tub!
The food was good — I had the burger with caramelized onions and thought it was solid, onion rings were good and I liked the homemade ketchup with the fries. Almond Joy dessert was tasty as well.
Jubilee the show was weird — I think the concept got lost within a concept. There were times too the timelines were off like going from 70s back to the early 40s-​50s ballroom ratpack times. I expected more titties. I dont know why I expected bigger as most dances are flat chested but weird that a large majority was flat with few b and C cups. But titties cant save the concept. I dont understand why the narrator sounded and talked like Lady Gaga as «Mother Monster».
The best part to me is celebrating a milestone. The people who turned 5 this year all started together and were the inaugural group of Unilocal community. We’ve seen it grow and change and we’re still here. Many have grown from my «Yelp friends» to just my friends. I really haven’t stuck to a hobby consistently this long. Hobbies wane and come back so this is a personal achivement for me too. Its irrelevant to everyone else, but it means a lot to me.

This event was golden! A whole evening with long-​term Unilocalers was so much fun! I checked in at 3pm and settled into the room until it was time for dinner.
We were seated quickly at Le Burger Brasserie and I really enjoyed the intimate setting. With a limited amount of people, everyone was able to interact and really get to chat in a relaxed environment. We started with cocktails, my favorite was the Daryl Strawberry. The Mac n cheeseburger bites and buffalo cheese dip came out and although not my favorite foods of the meal, they were pretty good. My fella and I decided to share the chicken sandwich and the French onion burger. The fries were fantastic and burgers were solid. Loved the buns they use. After dessert, we were off to see Jubilee.
The show has been revamped recently. I had seen it previously and enjoyed some of the changes, but it still has quite a few kinks to work out. We had the opportunity to take pictures with the showgirls after the show, which was a treat!
The best part of the evening was winding down the evening at the Indigo Lounge. Great drinks and service! We had a fantastic time chatting up our fellow Unilocalers and the it was off to our room to rest up and enjoy the lovely view from our room.

My first gold elite event and I absolutely loved it! We first checked in at the Diamond Check-​in and the staff was awesome. We were offered bottled water as well.
The room was trendy and quite comfy. We quickly changed and skedaddle down to the Burger Brasserie. There were appetizers on the table waiting for us to consume. The cheesy burger bites were pretty good. There was also a side of buffalo chicken dip, accompanied with a side of carbs (pretzel, bread, etc.). There were alcoholic drink options (Old-​Fashioned, made with their own propriety Knob Creek blend, BB version of the mojito, and strawberry something). OF was too strong for me, but the mojito and strawberry something were yummy. Our waitress then came around to take our order. It was a lot of food. Earl got the Cheeseburger (cheese is velveeta), and I got the French burger. Velveeta cheese is a bit too rich for my taste. I should have asked for a bowl of pickles. BUT, I really enjoyed the French burger. We also got to share a side of fries with spiced ketchup. It looks like mustard seeds in the ketchup, and I loved it.
We finished the meal with almond joy dessert. So full. Drew then came around to hand us our tickets to Jubilee and two drink tickets to Indigo Lounge.
I remembered that I fell asleep during the prior Jubilee show. This one was definitely more entertaining since I did not yawn. At the end of the show, we got to take pictures with two Jubilees.
We then headed over to Indigo Lounge. I got the Moscow Mule (why of course!). So refreshing! I redeemed my second drink ticket for a ginger beer though, because it was getting late and it was a work night afterall.
Thank you Drew and Caesars Entertainment for this staycation! So glad I made gold elite!

VIP VEGAS STYLE
It is fun to attend Unilocal events because you never know what is going to happen. Many times the events are a fun gathering of fellow foodies getting to experience new restaurants. Drew did an amazing job of providing a mini-​vacation VIP Vegas style.
First I want to thank Drew the Las Vegas CM for letting Chicago Unilocal in the house. I had a great time and I appreciate the hospitality. I also had a fun time meeting some of the Vegas Unilocalers and making new foodie friends.
I also want to thank Bally’s for being an amazing host and inviting us Unilocalers to have a great experience on the Bally’s property.
The event started out at Le Burger Brasserie Sports Grille and we had two apps to start with. I was able to try the Cheese Burger Mac n Cheese Bits and the Buffalo Chicken dip with pretzels. The dip was good but very heavy. This dish is made for sharing. Do not try and tackle it solo unless you’re Adam Richman. I tried going Man vs food and food won this round. I really enjoyed the cheeseburger Mac n Cheese bits. Who doesn’t love deep fried balls of goodness! The only thing that could make this better would be chopped up bacon. I hope the chef is reading this review.
We could also select from a list of sandwiches. There were burgers, chicken and hotdogs. I decided to try the ground chicken burger. I had never had a ground chicken patty before and I was interested in trying it. It was topped with BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese and funions. What? I somehow missed reading the funions topping when I ordered it. So I was a little shocked when it first came to my table. I did enjoying eating them though considering I had not had a funion in about 20 years. I was also amazed at how delicious the chicken patty was. It was very moist and it had fresh herbs inside too.
After we finished eating it was off to the theater. Bally’s put us in the fourth row center of the newly revamped Jubilee show. I last saw this show with my parents 25 years ago, so it was nice to get to see it again. I am also happy that Vegas is trying to keep a traditional show alive by updating the musical numbers. The one thing I do miss is the live orchestra from the old show.
They also kept a few of the old traditional musical numbers. So there is a mix of old and new for all to enjoy unless you’re under 18. Yes leave the kids at home cause the ladies are topless! I must also congratulate the cast of Jubilee because they work so hard. We saw the 7pm show and there was a second show at 10pm. That’s a long night of dancing and entertaining.
We also got to have our photo taken with two of the dancers from the show. That was a nice treat.
I was also lucky enough to meet the head of Caesars Entertainment. We had a great time talking and sharing stories about our families. I appreciated the advice I received on having a teenage daughter and a glimpse into my future.
After the show we went to the Indigo Lounge, we received two drink tickets that could be used on beer, wine or cocktails. I went to the bar and ordered a grey goose with soda and a lemon. There were many specialty cocktails to pick from but I did not want all of that sugar considering I had to work the next day. The lounge was recently remodeled and is managed by Drai’s. They did an incredible job of making this place look cool and swanky. If you are looking for a totally chill place, then this is it. You would never expect to find something like this at Bally’s.
I really love the direction that Bally’s is going in and I’m glad that they shared all of these new entertainment options with us Unilocalers.
Bally’s even gave us rooms to show off their newly remodeled tower. We call that a Staycation! What a perfect night! Where else can you go to have dinner, see a live show, have drinks in a lounge and a hotel room all within 500 feet of each other and under one roof? Only in Vegas! This town never sleeps and I know why because there is always something to do. Thanks again Bally’s and CM Drew for showing us an amazing night in Vegas. I can’t wait to come back.

Ahhhhhleluia! That’s how I felt the day that I finally got my gold badge… over 6 years after joining Unilocal (damn, has it been that long?). And on that day, I immediately started hoping that Drew A. would be planning a special gold elite event for us. Sure enough, he delivered with tickets to Jubilee!, the only classic-​Vegas show left, and, I believe, the longest-​running show on the strip. NOT ONLY did we get to see the show, but we got to stay in the hotel AND enjoy pre-​show dinner and drinks at the Burger Brasserie (or Burger Brassiere as the helpful Bally’s employee called it!) AND post-​show drinks at Indigo Lounge! I was so so so excited for this event, we got an overnight babysitter, and my husband and I both got off work early! So imagine my disappointment when I got crazy sick at like 10am the day of the event. I tried to deny it all day, hoping it would get better, but it actually got worse. By the time we made it to the Paris parking garage, I had to crouch down and take a break. My husband said, «why don’t we just go home?» but I said, «No, I’ll just drink some water when we get inside! It’s my gold event!» After that wave passed, I felt good enough to sit at dinner for about an hour, but not good enough to eat more than one bite of my chicken sandwich and a couple bites of pretzel. I didn’t get to try the delicious-​looking mac&cheese or buffalo cheese dip appetizers! I didn’t get to enjoy beer and Darryl Strawberry lemonades on Bally’s! I didn’t even see the almond joy dessert that sounded so tempting! When it hit a really bad note, we decided it’s just time to go, so on top of everything I didn’t get to try at dinner, I ALSO didn’t get to see the show! Or the new rooms! Or the new lounge by Drai’s! Man, what a disappointment! The part that I did enjoy was awesome — small crowd, waiter service, great conversation, lots of space. Better luck next time, tummy!

How often do you get dinner, a show, drinks, AND a hotel room for free? Okay, maybe if you’re a casino high-​roller, and that is definitely how Unilocal Las Vegas made us lucky Gold Elites feel! This was perhaps the best event I have ever attended, and it was also my first Vegas event.
First, we were all given rooms in the newly redone Jubilee Tower. My room was on the 69^th floor and we had amazing views of the Strip and the new Linq ferris wheel. The room was nicely decorated and had a comfy bed along with nice amenities like an iPod dock and charging outlets. After our fast and easy check-​in at the Diamond Check-​in desk, we even had time to enjoy the pool, before the evening fun began. We had a delicious dinner at Le Burger Brasserie. Along with an open bar (!!!), we enjoyed appetizers including the cheeseburger mac n’ cheese bites and the buffalo chicken dip. By the way, the special house Old Fashioned is delicious and packs quite a punch. For entrees, our group ordered one of each burger/​sandwich and then shared; my favorites were A Cheese Burger and the Dry Rub Chicken Sandwich. All the burgers were cooked perfectly, and the fries on the side were tasty as well. I’m pretty sure the dessert blew everyone away though. It was called the Almond Joy, and it seemed to be cubes of a coconut cheesecake/​mousse, covered in chocolate, topped with sweet almond crumbs, and accompanied by chocolate gelato and some sort of vanilla crème fraîche (?).
After dinner, we headed to the Bally’s theater and enjoyed Jubilee!, a topless showgirl revue. Our seats were great, and the show’s sets and costumes were impressive. We even took photos with the showgirls after! The show was followed by drinks at the upscale Indigo Lounge, which was also recently remodeled; our drink tickets even got us the premium $ 16 cocktails, which were all delicious. I enjoyed the Speakeasy and the Mezcal Fashioned. Our night had just gotten started, but that’s another story.
I had such a great time during this event, and it was so worth the drive! Thank you so much to Bally’s, Burger Brasserie, and Indigo Lounge, for the wonderful treatment and attention. Of course, this event wouldn’t have happened without the Vegas CM, Drew, and intern, Victoria– you guys did an awesome job and I can’t wait to make it back for more!

We had an outstanding time! We got bumped up to a suite, which was really nice, with a walk-​in shower featuring his and her doors, a good sized «spool» that was flanked by his and her sinks, along with a great view of the Eiffel Tower.
All in all we had a fantastic time! Thank you to Bally’s, Unilocal and Drew for another very successful event!

My first event outside SoCal area. Gotta say, it was an amazing first time experience. Unilocal Las Vegas totally hooked up the goldies with everything, dinner, show, and late night activities. And literately, we just had to get there. It was a memorial 16 hour vegas trip. Got to meet some local Unilocalers, met Drew and Victoria, just a very good time in general.
The rooms at Bally’s Jubilee tower were dope. We had an amazing view of the the pool area and the Paris Eiffel Tower and even a part of the bellagio music fountain. Food at Le Burger Brasserie were good. My fave was the dry rub chicken sandwich.
Always wanted to check out the Jubilee show at Bally’s. Got hooked up with some VIP seats and even got pictures with the show girls. Even at the Indigo lounge, we had a great time. Their craft cocktails were very unique and tasty. If we didn’t have our drink tickets, would have cost $ 16 buckaroos each. Thanks Unilocal for hookin it up! Thank you Drew for hosting this wonderful event. One of the best Unilocal elite experience I’ve had thus far.

Much like Goldmember, I love gooooooold! Unlike Goldmember, I am not Dutch and have never been portrayed by Mike Myers. I also still have my genitals.
Although I did not take off work for this staycation, I and the other Gold Elites got to play tourist and enjoy a night on The Strip, which included dinner, drinks and a show. Once all of that fun was had, we were able to stay the night at Bally’s recently renovated rooms. I did not end up in a suite with an indoor jacuzzi, however, I did end up in a room with two twin beds which meant I did not have to get spooned (or butter knifed) by my +1.
We kicked off the evening with dinner at Burger Brasserie, where we got to enjoy drinks, appetizers, and a burger. Plenty of food to go around, with some people getting to go boxes. The cheeseburger balls were delicious, and I think those should be an optional topping for their regular cheeseburger.
Like any good date, dinner was followed by a show, the recently redone Jubilee! Prior to the show, my knowledge of Jubilee read like a
entry: ju·bi·lee [joo-​buh-​lee] noun. 1) A Las Vegas show featuring girls that are appropriately called showgirls. 2) Mutant that is able to produce sparks from her hand. The X-​Men universe is fictional, so through process of elimination I anticipated singing, dancing, and fancy headpieces. The sets were fantastic, the showgirls were great, but the overall flow of the show seemed to jump around a bit. After allowing the showgirls to take photos with me, we headed to Indigo Lounge.
Indigo Lounge offered drinks that with a higher level of creativity not usually found in casino lounges. Egg whites, bitters, and a cocktail menu that consisted of more than just vodka «martini’s» helped us all wind down from a strenuous evening of eating and show watching. Just kidding, some of us got wound up and wandered The Strip for a bit. Only one piece of pizza was dropped, only one of us got a burn, and the bruises on my knuckles are healing. It was a fun night.

It was 2:30 AM. As I was laying in a hospital bed, screaming for meds and probably crushing Niyen I’s hand as he told me to breathe, I told him through crying «I really hope my appendix didn’t burst because we have to go to the Gold Event tonight. There’s only one a year and I don’t want to miss it…» (cue me screaming incoherently some more in the ER.)
Well, lucky for us, my appendix didn’t burst, just some kidney stones. After a few hours of sleep post ER visit, and a couple hours at work, my plus one Niyen and I made it to my second (!!!) Gold Elite event.
I’ll be honest, I was absurdly tired so my enjoyment level wasn’t on point like it usually is for these events. I was pleasantly surprised by the food — the deep fried hamburger? macaroni? Not sure what they were, but they were delicious. I had the bbq chicken burger and I split it with Niyen. Unfortunately, he missed most of the main course portion because he was combing our room and my car looking for ibuprofen because, well, I was not going to be late to a Gold Event to go pick up a prescription, no matter how much pain I was in. He made it back in time for dessert and it was delicious!
We were about 15 minutes late to the Jubilee show because we had to go drop off his to-​go box of food back up in our room’s mini fridge. Because we were late, we didn’t get to sit with any other Unilocalers. Instead… we got to sit front and center at our own private table. We could legit touch the stage, that’s how close we were. Don’t be jealous. As for the show — I’m not sure what I thought about it. I missed a chunk in the middle of the show because my dad came by to drop off my actual perscription meds (aka, knock me out meds) but that’s okay. I felt like the show was a cross between Lawrence Welk and Soul Train, with Vegas show girls mixed in. Trippy.
Afterward, we hung out at the bar. No worries, I hadn’t taken any perscription yet (because I wasn’t trying to kill myself mixing it with booze.) Now, I’m not a drinker to begin with, and I’m pretty picky as far as what I like. With my drink coupons I ordered a Mezcal fashion and a mai tai. After exactly one sip of each, I passed them both on to Niyen to finish. Apparently Mezcal is the strongest drink I could have ordered. Yeah, not my thing.
After the event and changing into some flats, we went down to the Linq because Niyen had to do some shopping before Coachella. Then we headed back to the room.
The room, well, it was actually pretty nice! I mean, it’s not the Aria Sky Suites, but still, it’s a perfectly good room. We were in room 7127 and we had the most gorgeous view overlooking the Paris pool, the Bellagio fountains and the rest of the Strip. It was amazing. From the little chairs by the window, I watched the fountain show. The window opens slightly so you could hear all the street noise, and it smelled like hamburgers. It was pretty awesome.
I’m a person who has to sleep in complete darkness. I’m talking pitch black, no electronics type stuff. A combination of me being 1. exhausted and 2. enamored of the view was the reason I slept with the curtains fully open. I think I passed out about .2 seconds after hitting the pillows. In the morning, check out was breeze which was a plus as I had work.
I am soooooooo glad my appendix didn’t burst so that I could make it to this event. It was worth fighting through the pain!

Wow! And Thanks! Seriously, you did an awesome job Drew and Caesars Crew. I’m usually pretty busy and was so glad I had the time to attend this event. This was the best Unilocal night out in 5 years!
We parked outside in the surface lot. I usually park here if I’m going to the Stage Door across the street and their lot is full. We had to dodge a few Time Share Hawkers on the way to check in. TIP TIME: Shut ‘em down by telling them you’re local. Works every time! I couldn’t find the Diamond Check In but the normal line was quick and easy. The young lady behind the counter was very nice. We dodged a few more Time Share Hawkers on the way to room. I could really do without this. I wonder how much they pay Bally’s to be there. Small price to pay I guess. Well, it was the only price to pay!
We got up to the room, scoped the view from the 72^nd floor, changed, and hoofed it back downstairs to the Burger Brasserie. I think I ate too much of the apps. Fried beef stuffed macaroni and cheese balls (tasty!) and the buffalo chicken dip were hot and plentiful!
The waitress promoted three drinks; of course I had to try all three of them! The Captain Mojito was a nice twist on a classic drink although I found this one a little syrupy. The Darryl Strawberry was my. favorite. It was made of muddled strawberries and mint and I assume vodka and soda. It was refreshing and just right. Finally I had the Old Fashioned. I prefer mine with brandy, however this appeared to be made with bourbon. Instead of oranges and cherries, peaches and cinnamon were used. This was too far from what I was familiar with but that didn’t keep me from finishing it ha ha.
For the entrée I had the dry rubbed chicken sandwich. I had to snatch this out of Nelson’s hot little hands before he sank his teeth into it ha ha. It was good and my date enjoyed her french onion burger.
The Almond Joy dessert was great; I woofed mine down! Rich chocolate ice cream, an almond purée, and a bar of sweet chocolate coated coconut did not last long.
After dinner we proceeded to some nice seats in the Jubilee Theater for the new version of the show. I saw Jubilee about 11 years ago and I recognized some of the former elements in this version. While the individual segments were entertaining, the menagerie was hard to follow. I really enjoyed the leg segment, a la Crazy Horse, and of course the dancing ladies ;) Pics with two of the dancers followed the end of the show. That’s always fun!
Everyone then proceeded to the Indigo Lounge for cocktails. I had the Hemingway and my date had the White Lady. Both were okay although the White Lady would have been better had they used the egg white as listed on the menu. There is live music at the Indigo on the weekends so it was actually nice to have it rather quiet on a Monday night to allow for socializing. We left after a while to go see Skrillex at XS. By the time we got back the room to change, my date wasn’t feeling so hot. She spent the rest of the night not feeling so hot either. Something she ate? I don’t know but that was kind of a bummer.
We still had a great stay and enjoyed the room right up until check out at 11 am. I have stayed at Bally’s before and the rooms were pretty worn. The recent renovations in the Jubilee Tower were nice and comfortable. Thanks again!!!

It’s good to be Elite and Gold! This event was a seriously awesome treat! I LOVE staycations! And this one was fabulous. We got the royal treatment. It was a perfect night out /​staycation bundle of dinner, show, drinks, and hotel room. Does it really get any better than that?
For me, it was a real treat as I hadn’t ventured back to Bally’s in several years. I wasn’t particularly a fan after my last day here back in 2007. But I am now a new fan. The staff were superb. The check-​in was fluid and easy. And the room was fabulous. Comfy bed, clean and new looking and feeling, awesome view, good bathroom, etc. I would now recommend staying here to others. And I would stay here again for a staycation.
And I got to experience a new restaurant (to me anyways as I’d never been there, a revitalized show (that I had never seen), and a new bar (that I had never been to, which included trying out some new cocktails).
Top all that off with getting to meet some great Unilocalers, including some out-​of-​town folks. So all in all, a fabulous time was had and big props and appreciation to Drew and the Bally’s crew.

Why am I awake at 6am? Our 73^rd (top) floor room at Bally’s new Jubilee Tower has a view of the High Roller and I wanted to grab some pre-​dawn shots. Just in time right before they turned off the lighting too.
Yeah. We lucked out with an awesome room with a jacuzzi. So mere minutes into checking in, this was already one of the coolest Unilocal events I’ve ever had the pleasure of attending. I posted a photo sphere of the room on Google+.
Dinner at Le Burger Brasserie was surprisingly excellent. Everything from the Buffalo Chicken dip to the Dry Rub Chicken Sandwich was good. Actually, I’d go back for that chicken sandwich. A little spice, perfectly cooked and tender. The drinks were tasty and strong. I enjoyed the peach Old-​fashioned and the Captain Mojito. The night was off to a great start.
And then we went to Jubilee. To be honest, it’s just not my kind of show. Apparently, they are still in the process of tweaking it. That makes sense because it’s all over the place. I had never seen the show before, but it retains much of that old school showgirl vibe while thrusting in a lot of random musical numbers. Halfway through, I realized that there is supposedly a story. But it’s never resolved. Many of the transitions were abrupt and that contributed to the overall disjointedness. On a positive note, the production value is incredible. The number and quality of the sets astounded me. And the performers themselves are quite good.
Finally, we hit up Indigo Lounge for some cocktails. That place is just OK. The drinks were decent. We did enjoy their Moscow Mule made with Barritt’s Ginger Beer – very strong ginger flavor.
Thanks so much to Unilocal and Caesars for coming up with such a fantastic perk for us Gold Elites. Bally’s has undergone a lot of nice changes and this was a great way to get us to see them. From the room, I can see the construction going on out front for the new outdoor retail space (if I remember correctly). That should be interesting.
And yes, we totally enjoyed the jacuzzi after a long night hanging out with the crew. I slept like a baby.

Yay for Paolo’s early morning review writing skills! There is no doubt that this was the most exciting Unilocal event — I felt special and had a great time!
I left work an hour early and arrived at Bally’s in about 5 minutes — quite convenient! I parked right next to the elevator in a rockstar parking spot. I saw Sylvia Q. and we walked to check-​in, where Earl C. was in this crazy long line but I remembered we could check in at Diamond, so he hopped out of line and joined us through the fancy double doors. I dropped my stuff off in my room, which was at the end of a very long hallway (nice and quiet). The Jubilee Tower rooms were amazing! The room was HUGE, nicely decorated with a black and red theme, and had some cool features like the funky sconce in my photos. My view was directly in front of the Eiffel Tower, Bellagio’s fountains, and Paris’ pool, just awesome!
First, dinner at Le Burger Brasserie. Our servers were great, but this one kind of cuckoo food runner lady brought out a non-​Yelper table’s food for 4 people at our table of 6 and insisted these burgers were ours, even though we had literally just ordered and none of the orders were right. She was very insistent that we were wrong and even refused to hand Philip T. the plate she said was his, would not walk around, and ended up slipping in the booth and falling on top of Eric R. to hand Philip T. the hot plate which was some other table’s order. She refused to take the food away and said we were wrong that it was not our order, so we had to get a server to straighten it out. By then, we started eating the other table’s fries so the other people got their food late after it sat in front of us and they had to wait for fresh fries, woops! Kind of awkward-​funny though!
The food was really tasty, from pretzel rolls!!! to buffalo chicken dip, fried cheeseburger mac n cheese bites, and the burgers (I got French onion) — then dessert was the new «almond joy.» I got the Darryl Strawberry cocktail, muddled strawberries with vodka, and it was great. Drew A. passed out tickets to Jubilee and drink tickets to Indigo Lounge, and off we went to our 5^th row seats in the Jubilee Theatre. I had not seen the original but this show was very confusing. I did enjoy the costumes, singing, and dancing but had no idea what was going on otherwise.
After the show, we snapped photos with 2 showgirls in front of the Unilocal sign once the theatre emptied. Then it was off to Indigo Lounge. At first, the cocktail server did not think we could redeem the drink tickets for any specialty cocktails, which seemed to make no sense. She checked and got permission for us to order those. I got the speakeasy (amaretto-​based) and then the desert dweller (orchata liquer and fireball). Both were good. The atmosphere was very nice but there was only one server and the place was quite busy. The bartenders were tied up with the table orders so it was a bit slow, but what was the rush! Drinks + room down the hall meant I could sleep without being woken up by Republic Services for once in my life.
Eric R. and I retired to our room around 10:30 for showers and sleep. I enjoyed my shower and was too tired to dry my hair, falling asleep with the lights and tv on apparently, but Eric R. woke me up to move to my pillow. We got up at 6:30 AM so we could get to work on time. Since I work a few minutes’ drive away, I took a few minutes longer than my normal leave time from Henderson, got rockstar parking at work and here I am, bragging to everyone I see about my «stay-​cay!» Now I just have to process the Jubilee show with one of its former dancers who works with me so I can see what the heck was really going on. Thank you Caesars Entertainment and Drew A. for this spectacular event. It really is neat to be elite in Sin CIty!

First off, many thanks to Drew and Caesars for coming up with such an outstanding Gold Elite Event. We had gotten an email with a complete time line for the events from check in to check out and things ran very smoothly.
Arrival meant going to the Diamond check in area at Bally’s. There was no one else there when I arrived and Josie, the Bally’s employee, offered me a bottle of water as she checked me in. She gave me a corner room on floor 70 in the Jubilee Tower which has all newly renovated rooms. How they get the numbers for the floor is beyond me. The hotel is listed as 26 stories on most websites.
A few minutes before 5, Philip and I went into the Burger Brasserie and saw Drew and the Unilocal sign in the back. There were several tables reserved for us and we got our VIP wristbands (that were one hell of a pain to get off when you have nothing sharp with you).
Dinner was quite good. Two apps for the table and our choice of sandwich. I went with the French Onion burger, rare, and it was great! Dessert was the same for everyone – a delicious Almond Joy dessert with chocolate, coconut, and rich dark chocolate ice cream. I’ll update my review for the Brasserie to describe this part of the event in more detail.
Then it was onto the Jubilee Theatre to see the revamped version of Jubilee! I was disappointed that my classic Las Vegas production show with lovely showgirls was changed to a mishmash of stuff that just doesn’t gel properly. This was the 7^th time I’ve seen Jubilee! and what a let down. I’ll update my review there, too!
After the show, two of the Jubilee! ladies came out and posed with us for photos. I guess the guys are special – maybe a little more elite – because none of the male dancers came out for pictures with our lady Unilocalers. Hmmm!
Next, we went to the Indigo Lounge at Bally’s for some drinks and conversation. We laughed, shared stories, took photos, and generally had a great time! The music was low enough that you could carry on a conversation without yelling.
Around 11 or so, the last of the group broke up. I went back to my room and took some night photos looking south along the Boulevard.
Check out was anytime before 11 AM this morning. After having breakfast on the patio at Mon Ami Gabi, I got my things together and checked out in the Diamond Lounge in less than a minute.
One thought about the staycation – I can laugh more heartily when I hear Carrot Top do his impression of walking long distances in hotels in Las Vegas to get to the elevators and then to the rooms. Josie had said my room was at the end of the hall and she asked if that was a problem. For a hiker, of course it wasn’t. For some people, C. Top’s «I have have walked 500 miles.»

Unilocal 365 CHALLENGE 2014−(99÷365) «The Golden Opportunity»
BIG MAHALOS to our fearless leader Drew and the Team at Caesar’s Entertainment (Bally’s, Le Burger Brasserie, Jubilee, and Indigo)!!! UYEs, CMYEs, and Elite Events are sweet, but even sweeter is a GOLD ELITE STAYCATION!!!
It was great to reunite with fellow Gold Elites and meet new ones (Anthony from Unilocal Chicago) for a night of firsts. First time stepping foot in Bally’s Casino… First time dining at Le Burger Brasserie where we enjoyed Buffalo Chicken Dip, Mac and Cheese Cheeseburger Bites, an assortment of Crostinis, Grissini, and Pretzel Rolls, later followed by splitting the tasty Chicken BBQ and French Onion burgers with root beers and Captain Morgan Mojitos.
Next, it was the first time to Las Vegas’ only remaining showgirl’s style revue since 1981, Jubilee! The show was revamped to incorporate the old with the new… elaborate sparkly outfits, grand headdresses, and pairs of un-​enhanced breasts coming from every which way, bold colors, and flashy lighting new numbers and a story line which was kinda difficult to keep track of-​Samson and Delilah, Titanic, Beach Boys and The Jacksons?! etc. then a group photo with a couple of the Jubilee girls was followed by a little nightcap at Indigo Lounge with the gang. Towards the end of our evening, Norm got tagged in our usual Unilocal LV fashion… YOU’RE IT!!!
Our room in the newly renovated Jubilee Tower was very cozy, romantic, and inviting with a walk in shower, comfy king sized bed and a great view overlooking the Bellagio Fountains. This is one of THE BEST Unilocal events, and possibly the first ever Unilocal Staycation… There’s seriously nothing like being a part of the Unilocal Las Vegas Community. Hmmmmm… I wonder how this event will be topped??? ALOHA!!!

Drew and Caesars Entertainment definitely went above and beyond to celebrate all the LV gold elites for 2014. A Unilocal party is always fun but a staycation at one of the renovated rooms at Bally’s along with dinner and show was really something else. The service was 5 stars from room check-​in at the diamond lounge (looks a lot better than a few years ago) til the end.
I was surprised how nice the room was upon walking in. It was spacious, cozy and bright with a nice sized walk in shower. The view of the Eiffel Tower, Paris pool and the left side of the Bellagio fountain show looked great in the afternoon but even better at night. I like a nice firm mattress and the bed was definitely that.
Getting hooked up with all this stuff made me feel less bad about dusting off $ 200 at the poker table while waiting for dinner when I ran KK into AA on a ten high flop versus the craziest guy there. I saw some familiar faces walking past the poker room which notified me that it was time to leave for dinner.
This was my first time at Le Burger Brasserie. Drew had a little section set up for us at the rear of the restaurant which provided views of both the college basketball finals (UConn money line!) and the Red Sox/​Rangers. It got even better when I was handed a mojito and they broke out appetizers. The deep fried cheeseburger mac and cheese bites and buffalo cheese chicken dip were artery clogging heaven. Lisa R, Eric R, Norm K, Drew and Tasha were great company for dinner. My cheeseburger was a nice juicy medium rare and their almond joy dessert was deliciously unique even though I am more of a Mounds kinda guy: P I wouldn’t be opposed to dining there again.
Then it was on to the Burt and Anton. I mean… Jubilee Theatre. Despite some of the new sets being pretty impressive, this show is still very much a work in progress. Fragmented, confusing, yet very titillating all at once. We finished up with drinks in the chilled out Indigo Lounge which was a great spot to catch up with some people I hadn’t seen in a while.
My 7:30am wake up call came too soon!
