Flex Cocktail Lounge

This is not a very lively gay bar. Go here when you want to be left alone. I also find it disgusting when the owner of the bar is drunk and trying to make out with the bartenders (unwanted advances)

My last night in Las Vegas I was looking for a place to have some quality time with some locals. I had never been to a so-​called gay bar and being curious I decided to venture into Flex. I was greeted by Alex the bartender who immediately made me feel comfy. What a quality person he is as he made me feel one of the group right away. The music was loud and added to the ambience of the place. I met some wonderful people there and had an extremely good time. Thank you fore making my last night in Vegas memorable :)

From the outside this place looks like a pueblo-​single-​floor-​ranch house –gone wrong… about 2007. Upon walking in it quickly becomes evident that dive it is not. Ultra lounge is ain’t either. This place is well sized and well laid out for the local queer community. This is a good hometown gay watering hole. Sure you’re in Vegas but if you like to see how the locals roll, then this is a queer staple.
Another Unilocal reward spot– upon checking in at Flex, Unilocal rewards pop up with a $ 2 shot of any UV vodka.
Hump day in Vegas doesn’t yield a packed house but it’s not overwhelming for those who don’t do crowds. Two pool tables, double dart boards and strategically placed digital slots built into the bar provide enough to single or multi-​player entertainment. Draft beer choices are limited to 2 — the usual suspects for any gay bar across America (bud light and blue moon). Aging up you drink to the cocktail level opens up double full bars sporting what seems like the entire catalog of UV vodka, 5 rows of Absolut choices along with plenty of other bar hard Liquors.
It’s Vegas and smoking inside bars and casinos is still legal. Most local watering holes (and most casinos) have a constant cloud of cigarette smoke causing those non-​smokers to either constantly worry about their clothes or choke while just trying to breathe. At flex the industrial AC and plenty of ceiling fans keep the air flow going and the spacious layout keeps you from having the very light 2^nd hand smoke hard to detect. I’m not saying that one can’t tell, it’s just not the smokey dive you might expect.
Throughout the venue plenty of tv screens keep you updated on specials and all play the same thing simultaneously so no area of the bar offers a blind spot to the bar info. A vending machine offers standard blend of chips to candy bars to gum. Otherwise if you need to carb up or got the munchies this is not a one stop solution.
The décor is modestly modern without any über fanciness. Artfully placed color changing lights and led ribbons add a rainbow effect throughout the space without being overtly «gay» (the M4M PDA does this just fine). Lighting is more colorful than helpful for seeing and somehow this dark bar just doesn’t seem like a dark boozey place.
The clientele here are real people. No pretension, no drama queens, no lottery winners here. Dress code is a blend of those who just got off work and those who just put on slippers and walked here.

Oh my goodness! What a fantastically fun place! Drag Queens and Queens thru out the building! Small, quaint and a bundle of fun!
I love gay bars! I didn’t know how Ken would be but I think he had an ok time. I, myself, had a blast. We will be back!

I’ve been to this place several times in the course of three years. I just went last night with my friends who originally introduced me to the place and it’s always a good time. The drag show is definitely a lot of fun! There is a sense of class to this place which I really like too. Drinks are reasonably priced and delicious.

I’d sure like to bang that Diva Toxxx !! Stephany is getting old, time to move that show pony onward. clippity clop, clippity clop. onto the glue factory. Ahem. I’m done here.

Joe C is an awesome bartender! Here serving drinks even after his shift the relief has not shown up over 3 hrs after his shift. He’s making me laugh and serving drinks like a mo Fo! He makes this place tolerable!!!

I love this bar the shows are fun and make for a excellent value for you’re dollar.
Drinks are strong and the people do smoke indoors after all it is Las Vegas…
Don’t ask others to not smoke because you’re allergic to cigarette smoke and such and you will be fine.
Expect to smell like smoke it’s Las Vegas and it’s a bar so both go hand in hand.
One other thing order a good stiff drink and enjoy the show…

The bar was decent, clearly a great hangout for locals.
I made the mistake of taking a cab out there. If you’re going I’d suggest driving, or going in a Vegas where Über exists. Getting a cab back to the strip is a nightmare.

$ 2.00 Tuesday. Was a little slow. Alex was behind the bar-​Remembered my name after only meeting him one time. Great service and great gaming.

Nice neighborhood bar but the staff needs to remember that new patrons walk in. Cater to them to keep these new patrons coming back. Seems a little pretentious and it’s a 5 dollar bar. I’ll come back only for the $ 2 draft beer. No one is friendly.

Amazing! Dont be fooled by the location, it looks sketchy, but the «What a Drag» show on Saturday night is the best, the drinks are great and love the crowd :-)

This was my first time that I went to this bar to celebrate Margarita Sanches’s Birthday and it was a great time. The drinks are strong and cheap but the entertainment was really fun !! I would go back !

Okay, after reading the rest of the reviews, we were obviously there on an «off» night. The place was pretty empty and not much to write home about. However, the service was quick and friendly and the price were pretty damn cheap.
I could see this place being fun on a night when the right crowd is there, we just weren’t there on that night.

I love this neighborhood bar which i heard is now under new ownership. Make sure you check out the Queens of Las Vegas — the best and most creative drag show I’ve ever seen. The bartenders were great and everyone was so friendly. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

It’s pretty nice on the inside. People say this place is a dive bar, but it’s not anymore! The inside actually looks nice! I guess it was remodeled, and I think they did a good job.
They have a snazzy stage too! You can either walk up, or come out of curtains along the back. I liked that effect, and it’s gives the queens options :)
I guess there used to be strippers here. I saw plenty of high heels and sparkly dresses, but no strippers :-(
The bar was modern looking, almost like it would belong in a steakhouse or some chain restaurant. The only thing that I thought was weird was when I tried to pay with a card, the bartender asked me if that’s all I wanted to put on it. When I was like, «ummm, yeah I guess. Why?» He informed me that you can’t add the tip after. You had to add it before he rung you up. Ohhhhhh-​kaaaay. Thought that was a little weird, but whatever.
They have some pool tables in the back, and a nice, new Touchtunes jukebox as well.

Sure this place is trashy/​trailer park … but it’s fun. and I can’t believe no one has had the balls to talk about the private rooms. There are small rooms with curtains where you can go with the strippers for a private show. This is the best part of this bar. I did a private with a Russian stripper. Best lap dance I ever had.

The reason I’m even giving this place 2 stars instead of 0 – 1 is because the drag show was pretty entertaining. The Bartenders are amazingly friendly and around 11 they have a $ 10 well all– you– can-​drink-​all-​night special. Aside from that… WOW!!!
HOLE IN THE WALL in a crusty neighborhood next to a strip mall. I wasn’t expecting much after perusing the reviews left on Unilocal but I really didn’t expect to be walking into a smoke filled nightmare. funny thing was they actually had a VIP section. i’m kind of ranting here but it’s because I can’t wrap my brain around how horrible the place is. It’s like going to a garage party when you were in High school but take away the hot guy you had a crush on and replace him with the 8^th year senior that’s at all the parties.
oh and i had to do laundry after because EVERYTHING i was wearing smelled like the carpet in the suncoast casino. Someone should turn the ventilation system on.

I would give it a much higher rating except that they only have one bartender on Saturday nights and he is no good at all IMO. This means you will wait a loooooong time to get a drink and when you do get it it is sloppy and often the wrong thing.

Where do I start?
Yes, after 30 minutes, whether you smoke or not, you WILL smell like a gigantic ashtray when you leave.
Yes, it’s a bit trashy and probably the best place to troll for a lunchtime shag.
Yes, they have strippers, and drag queens and karaōke… OH MY!!!
And, I gotta tell ya’, probably the most laid back drunken brawl of a good time that you’ll never regret.
FLEX should be a Vegas landmark. If it’s not, make it one now on your own terms. If you’re pretentious and need to be in a smokeless ultra lounge, I would suggest anywhere but here. (or maybe a procedure to remove the «no fun» stick from your booty.)
So…go to FLEX… NOW!!! Get FLIRTY, Get DIRTY, Get KRUNK!!! Cuz at the FLEX if you don’t…you don’t belong. Goobah Gahbah ONE OF US!!!
