The reply by the owner shows exactly the thinking and attitude anyone using this cleaning service can expect. There were no PERSONAL issues with any of their employees, as she claims. When I hire someone and they show up at my door in dirty, heavy duty, steel toed construction boots, I ask them to either remove their shoes or cover them with booties. WHY should this even be up for discussion? Contractors do it… EVERY other service PROFESSIONAL who has entered my house has done this… without asking and as the normal operating procedure. This is the only instance where I encountered resistance from someone about removing or covering their shoes.
As for the bad smell in the bathroom after the cleaning… its because the only cleaner he brought and used was Windex. As I wrote in my earlier review, even after I GAVE him my own cleaning supplies and instructed him HOW to use them, he didn’t. The SMELL was not the result of my being unfamiliar with the so called professional cleaning products this company didn’t use. It was the result of a dirty bathroom that was not properly cleaned or sanitized.
Finally, NOT paying for an incredibly subpar cleaning job is NOT any sort of solution to the problems that plague this company… the most notable obviously being denial of reality. In her response, the owner makes it sound like she was being generous by doing me a favor and not charging me for the service. In truth, she called minutes after her employee left demanding a debit card number over the phone for payment. The only reason I didn’t pay for the service was because I REFUSED, and NOT because of any so-​called gesture of compensation on her part. This after several private email requests that I remove my Unilocal review because it would be «bad for business.»
Disorganized, unprofessional, less than honest, incompetent… that’s what is really «bad for business.»
