The Shuko truck came to my workplace with a limited menu of hot dogs and carne asada fries. This is actually one of a few different hot dog trucks in the area, but they do a pretty good job distinguishing themselves from the rest. One of the most interesting things is how they use all the traditional condiments and guacamole on their food. This is a Guatemalan truck, but it also reminds me of Columbian food. All of the meats used on their dogs are tasty, moist, and fresh. Also the bun was nice and toasted! The combinations are weird, but in a good way. My only thought is the variety of their food could be bigger. It seemed like most selections was a different variation of the previous. I’d totally try this truck’s food again if it comes back, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Apparently a «shuco» is a Guatemalan«dirty dog». Let me just tell you that this truck is legit! Delicious hot dog topped with all kinds of uniqueness on a tasty roll. Fries were what’s up too! Chorizo and egg with some deliciously spicy sauce. These dudes know what they are doing for sure!!! And their funny too!

I saw this truck on TV they were featured in a national news channel in Guatemala and various newspapers so I had to give them a try. Oh Man! I couldn’t be happier, they have the best«Shukos”(Latin American Hotdogs) ever. I tried the carne asada with the chimichurri, amazing! They have the perfect combination of the American hotdog with all the fresh flavors of Guatemala like guacamol, roasted tomatoe salsa and the bread which I was told that they bake their own bread daily. I highly recommend them, the staff is super nice and professional(family owned) and the food was great.
