Derrick Stephens

Impressed is all I can really say about him. He sold our home in Las Vegas. He really made things happen. Our showing traffic increased substantially and I was amazed that we had an offer in days. What went wrong with our first agent, I haven’t a clue. I’m just glad I called Derrick.

Derrick Stephens was a great value to me in the Home Buying process. I was a first time home buyer and unsure of the process and probably not the easiest client.
First off, Derrick was always in communication. No matter when I sent an email, made a phone call or sent him a text, it seemed he always had a response back to me almost immediately.
He always was available. If there was a property on the market that was of interest he would recognize if it was something that needed to be seen immediately or could wait a day or two. Very often he would be able to make arrangements to see a property within a day.
Derrick walked me through the entire process in an easy and understandable way. Being a First Time Home buyer it often felt that there were multiple things that needed to happen right away, but Derrick was very good at laying out a path forward that kept me at ease.
Most importantly is everything went incredibly smoothly in no small part to his being on top of the entire process.
I would highly recommend Derrick Stephens to anyone I know in need of a knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy Realtor…

This review is from a Seller’s perspective with Derrick acting as a Buyer’s agent. I did not get the sense that he was a genuine nor honest individual. My initial contact was a request from him over text to view my home. I called him back to find out some information about the potential buyer as I had certain loan requirements I wanted met in order to not waste my own time.
As I asked questions regarding the status and type of financing they would require he began to berate me saying I cannot be asking those questions, he then proceeded on a long diatribe of how I should act appropriately as the seller of a house. I let him go on in his angry manner for a time and got sick of it and told him that I was, in fact, my own agent as it was a For Sale By Owner. With this information his tone softened a bit but he soon got back to telling me «what was what».
I was not impressed, so I intentionally blew him off for a few days. He continued to text me saying his buyers were dying to see the house… and that they were CASH buyers since he knew I would not be accepting FHA or VA loan requirements. I eventually gave his buyers a showing. I suspect Derrick was lying about the «cash buyer» part because it turned out to be a young couple in their mid-​to-​late 20’s. Perhaps they had $ 310K in cash but I highly doubt it.
Derrick also has some «outstanding» reviews on Zillow. These are a scam. There are, as of April 2^nd, 2015, 107 very glowing and very vague reviews (no details, locations, amounts). Looking at the dates, they all occur one after another…1 Oct, 2 Oct, 3 Oct. He must have an Outlook reminder set to «Put great 2-​line review online for myself». The reviews are clearly plants. I’m sure he’ll follow-​up with some Unilocal plants to push this review to the bottom.
I would not recommend this guy.
