Connie is great at what she does. I have been getting my hair colored for 10 years and she did one of the the best root touch ups ever & definitely THE best in the states! She matched the color perfectly and you can’t even tell where my natural black roots (a little over an inch) had been after she was done, which is how it should be!
I have gotten color and root touch ups done at various salons in New York City (where I’m originally from), 2 other salons in Vegas since I’ve moved here, and in Taiwan while on vacation. Needless to say, I have encountered my fair share of colorists /​hair stylists. The absolute best color /​root touch up I’ve had done was in Asia in Taiwan, but I don’t think it is fair to compare since they tend to have better and higher quality products there. Connie is definitely the best I have experienced in the US.
I found Connie on Groupon and even though her cut, color, & deep conditioning deal was sold out, she offered me a great first time customer deal ($ 65) and opened early just to squeeze me in for a Saturday AM appointment when I called to inquire & schedule on Friday!
The cut was great and above average as well… I would say an ⁸⁄₁₀ and one of the top 3 cuts I’ve ever gotten. I asked for layers to lighten up my hair a bit since it was super heavy, thick, and tangly from growing it out for my wedding for the past year. The layers and style look great but I do feel she took a little too much off with the layering. However, that is my fault for not stopping her and communicating better since I did say I felt my hair has gotten too thick and was weighing down my head a bit.
The icing on the cake? Connie is super friendly, down to earth, and positive. She makes you feel like an old friend the way she engages you in conversation without it feeling fake or forced as is often the case with salon service providers. I will definitely be back! Thanks Connie! :)

I’ve been going to see Connie for many years now for a hair cut and color. I love how she does my hair to make me look beautiful and younger! She gives great advice as well.

The ends of my hair has been bothering me for quite some time. It reminds me a lot like spider legs, which creeps me out too! Ugh!!! And I’ve been wanting bangs that lay right on my cheekbones, but I haven’t found a hairstylist that can give me that until today.
Connie’s studio room is located inside ²⁴⁄₇ Salon & Day Spa Studio, which is in the same business complex of 24 Hour Fitness on W. Tropicana Ave. I got lost trying to find her in this huge place. Her room is after the reception desk, on your right! If you start seeing the sinks to wash your hair, you’ve passed it.
She has a cute, little studio room to herself, which I prefer. No distractions and it’s only you to work on. I do love the fact that she doesn’t double book and takes her time in doing your hair. Even if another client comes early, she lets them know she’s with a client right now, they’re early, and if they would like any magazines to keep them occupied. She was blow drying my hair at that time and told me. I’m not done with you yet. I’m going to dry cut your hair after this. AWESOME :) I thought she would be eager like some hairstylists I’ve gone to, that once another client came in, I wasn’t the «client» anymore. And this client that came in early had not one, but three girls with her that wanted to get their hair did by Connie. It didn’t even phase her and she continued with working on my hair. It didn’t even distract her focus on me, it was about me on my time with her. Lovelovelove that. That is the main reason why I was looking for a new hairstylist in cutting my hair and I’m so happy I found Connie: D
She’s very chill, personable, funny, and sweet. The whole time I thought I was chatting it up with an old friend. I showed her several pictures of how I would like to grow out my hair and the bangs I’ve been wanting to achieve. I told her about my scary spider legs ends of my hair and was in need of a trim. She not only cleaned up my ends, but made my whole hair feel so light and soft. It looked healthy again and I wasn’t scared no more in those spider legs!
I’m completely satisfied with the outcome of my haircut. In love with my new bangs. Connie is the only hairstylist that achieved exactly what I wanted from the first try. She worked nonstop in giving me some definition and style to my hair. She even cuts the way I like and takes each section, pulls it up, and cuts my hair to even the strands. Even took the time in dry cutting after blow drying. I can feel she loves what she does and cares about my hair. A true perfectionist at heart making sure every strand got attention. Absolutely love her style.
I’ll definitely be back for a trim. I already recommended my friends and coworkers to Connie, since they’ve been looking for a hairstylist too. Thank you tons for my new do ;)

I’ve been going to connie for a few years now. and i can honestly say she is the best for me. I’m a guy with thin blonde hair which seems to be a challenge for most hair stylists, but connie cuts my hair effortlessly and comes out great every time. She gives me the type of hair cut that looks great right away not the following week. As far as price goes, its extremely fair for such a premium haircut experience. In addition to her skills, she’s very friendly and so comfortable to be around because of her personality. The shop itself is really cool too, theres always a lot of people in the various areas of the salon.

Connie is awesome! She’s such a sweetheart and listens to my requests. I always walk out of the salon feeling beautiful. I highly recommend her!!!

Connie Cutz is conveniently located opposite my fav store International Market.
I have super long thick hair and I gave a pic of what I wanted my layers to look like.
Now Connie is super lovely and she did to the front really well. My bangs were also PERFECT.
But she didn’t really do much with the back. There is very little layering at all. Now I have allot of hair so it just sits there without any movement :(
I didn’t exactly bring a pic for the back, I guess I assumed it would all be layered cos my other hair dressers always did but she didn’t ever ask about what I wanted. And I didn’t see the back of my hair in the salon cos she never showed me with a mirror.
But overall I like my hair from the front I guess next time I’ll make sure I see EVERYTHING before I leave. She also let me leave without putting any product in my hair, which ended up like a puff ball by the time I got home from the wind. My hair is a little coarse and dry and being this Vegas air, every girl needs some serum or oil or something!
But I do like my hair… from front on anyway

Always on the lookout for some quality hair care, I saw a groupon for Connie Cutz. Normally, I rarely try a place that doesn’t have any reviews, especially when it comes to my ‘do, but I was like «what the heck?»
Connie Cutz is located inside the big spa on Trop and Decatur, right around the corner where Sheridan Su’s Great Bao used to be. I was able to walk in, but it’s always better to call ahead and schedule an appointment.
After checking in, I met Connie, who the business is named after. She is a very personable, warm person, and probably one of the most friendliest stylist I’ve ever met. I told her how I liked my hair, then we got started.
What do I like most about a great stylist? Attention to small details. And Connie does a great job making sure that everything is as close to as perfect as possible. Afterwards, I was given an amazing shampoo and scalp massage.
Thanks Connie, one of the best haircuts I’ve had since moving here! She’s a real pro, and I highly recommend her!
(Btw to all those that are curious, Great Bao is now a receptionist desk, Arggghhh!)
