A group of 8 of us walked into here and looked at the menu on the wall, first in shock over the prices listed next to the dishes. However, we found out that these were family sized plates to share. After the shock subsided, we decided to sit down. We knew we wanted a salad, so the waiter had suggested getting 2 salads because each salad would feed 2 or 3 people. We got the mixed green salad, two of them. As for the main, we all decided to share the Eggplant Parmigiana and the Rigatoni & Broccoli. Again, the waiter suggested we get a third main dish as he didn’t think it would be enough for the 8 of us, but we held off this time. When the salad came out, boy did we feel the waiter kind of misled us. The salad was HUGE, it probably could have fed 5 of us comfortably. I don’t know if it has to be said, but there was plenty of salad uneaten by the end of the meal. The salad was average, I think the only reason I enjoyed it was because I was craving greens/vegetables. Again, when the two main dishes came out, we were really glad we hadn’t ordered a third main as the waiter advised. These family sized dishes are no joke. Nothing memorable popped out for me for the mains, I was hungry and I was full after I ate, the dishes were neutral to me — they weren’t particularly bad or good. If you want a place to just eat a lot of blah tasting carbs, this is the place for you. However, there are a lot of other options in the area. Plus, the per glass wine costs were a bit steep. Plus, the waiter was not friendly at all. That is all.

Horrible experience. Groups SHOULDNOTCOMEHERE! We were in Vegas from out of town. Made reservations for a large group, celebrating my aunts bday. I’ve never been to a restaurant that doesn’t have food menus but had drink menus instead?! To order our food, we had to take a picture of the menu board on my phone. Then go back to the table to order. Most plates on the menu averaged between $ 20-$ 30 which I was ok with since the servings were big. I normally ask waiters for suggestions at new places. The waiter,(not friendly) tall Hispanic guy with black glasses, suggested a seafood plate bc it was great(according to him). I took his word for it. At the time of the bill, that dish was $ 70!!! After reviewing the«menu board» I had taken a picture of on my phone, that dish was not on the menu! What was supposed to be a nice dinner turned out to be a horrible one instead. I felt mislead by the waiter. Why would he suggest something that wasn’t on the menu or even mention the price? If I had had a menu on my hands like you would at most restaurants, I wouldn’t have ordered that dish. I felt he was trying to add to the bill to increase his tip percentage. Not only that, but the seafood made me sick with food poisoning. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I did tell all my close friends about the bad experience I had and now I’m sharing it on Unilocal to warn others who plan to have group dinners here. Worst experience, bad food and I didn’t appreciate getting screwed over by the waiter. They need to have menus like all other restaurants do. Only reason I’m giving them one star, is simply bc I have to.

This place is stupid. Family only. Don’t take a date. What do you mean you can’t feed 2 people what they want?

Two stars for the following reasons: 1) when we walked in, the greeter was totally rude to us. Didn’t even look at our faces when she talked and told us that the place is full for next two hours. When we checked Open Table, they had openings every 15 min so she was totally lying so that she didn’t have to do her job that she is actually hired for. So I was able to make a reservation within seconds that would allow us to get seated within 15 min. However we were able to find a seat at the bar which allowed us to bypass dealing with her again. 2) Food was incredibly cold! We ordered chicken parmesan and some pasta. After waiting for 20 – 25 min, I was expecting to be at least a little warm! Who serves cold pasta and chicken!!!

The food here is amazing! My favorite dish is the Chicken parmigiana with the penne a la vodka. A great mix of tomatoes, garlic and herbs!(And alcohol…) This is a family style restaurant with portions that can feed a group of 4 maybe even more, depending on how much you eat. The service is good, but the only downfall is that they don’t have a menu to give to you. The menu is on screens located on the walls of the restaurant. It is big enough to see, but if someone walks by the table you lose your sight. It’s hilarious when you’re looking at other people trying to read the menu. I’ve seen a few people sitting at the tables bob and weave through people passing by.(It’s embarrassing if it was you doing it) The atmosphere is a little loud and can get hectic sometimes, but It’s a great place to try if you’re looking for Italian food. I hope this review helps!

Excellent place for groups, family style Italian — One of our main courses ordered was the lasagne — amazing! Ambiance was full of energy, yet casually elegant none-the-less… Very kind and quick service!

Food and service were excellent. Ambiance was great. Portion sizes are large and should be split. Everything we had was delicious. Cannot wait to check out another location.

The bad: The service, particularly the hostess stand. They are all young and seem uninterested. When we went to put our name in, and again when we went to ask a question, the feeling we got was that we were bothering them. Not friendly either. This is the only reason for 4 stars, and not 5. The waiters were nice enough. James was great and really friendly! The good: THEFOOD. Everything is family style and the portions are HUGE. For a party of 4, we only ordered one salad and one pasta entrée and had difficulty finishing it! We were only in Vegas for 4 days, and we came here twice! The bread is good; be sure to ask for olive oil and balsamic vinegar! The Caesar salad was amazing. Not overdressed and the croutons were just right. The dressing was great too; you can ask for a side of it. The spaghetti with bolognese sauce was amazing. The pasta itself was al dente and the sauce was pretty freaking good. Wish there was a Carmine’s in California! Will definitely visit here again the next time we are in Vegas!

Very disappointed. Came here with my family. Everything. We had was super salty. We were so sad because we just came back from the Grand Canyon and was so hungry. Ordered he chicken parm, ziti, and pasta with meat sauce. We didn’t finish the food(barely touched it) and gave it to someone on the streets. What a waste of money. Terrible experience. Even the server was kind of rude.

Ask about their chicken scarpariello. It was fantastic. Their service was personable and responsive. Note: when they say large portions, they mean it. One pasta can easily feed five of me’s.

Brought clients in for lunch. It’s best to valet park at the forum shops and walk over to the restaurant. I invited clients here since the entrées served family style. I arrived early, secured a table and my waitress started me off with a brewed ice tea. I started us off with an order of Carmine’s salad followed by Portobello parmigiana, and lastly sausage broccoli pasta. The quality of food was superb and the portions are massive. My clients and I ate like mob bosses but bosses and they still took leftovers back to their office. This was my second visit here and I’m already thinking about my next visit and trying different entrées of their wide range of menus items.

We had a great time here tonight. It was my daughters birthday and we decided to have her birthday dinner party here and it was so amazing. We had a waiter named Mike, great entertainer, kept all the girls laughing and singing so fun. And don’t want to forget to mention about the food, excellent. My only very small complaint, drinks were very slow both cocktails and normal drinks. But overall great time and will come back for sure!

Deliciousness! A mouthful of bursting flavor. This is my new found glory for when visiting in Vegas! Everything from the service, atmosphere, location and most importantly the food all was on point. Thank you Italiano! =}

Family style dining and atmosphere, grand menu on the wall for there grand portions. First time here for a group birthday party. The«white» sauce looked and taste like butter and oil, not much sauce just barely coated the noodles. Linguini pasta was not fully cooked but they did make us a fresh batch with no problem. Servers and staff was nice and accommodating.

Great food. Great Service. This is a family style restaurant so don’t be scared when you see the prices. Each item you order at least 4 people can eat from it. Couple that was with us in Vegas ate here 2 days in a row. If I had more time I would have come to visit one more time. The next time I am in Vegas it will né on the top of my list of places to visit.

OK — I know this is the offspring of some New York Times Square type concept restaurant and I’d never go to this in New York but I did in Vegas(I may have been buying into the dubious concept that what happens there — stays there. Although I’m fearful of eternal recurrence).It was Saturday Night(which makes it all right) we’d driven from Cedar City Utah that day and had no reservations and we were beat. Here we could sit at the bar and eat and you can’t deny Carmines feeds you!(and feeds you).At least we were hungry — earlier we’d been wandering around the Valley of Fire drinking massive amounts of water in the 107 F temperature eating power bars. It was explained to us one part of the menu was based on the dishes being able to serve 4 people, the other merely two. We ordered appetizers, they were huge! We had a big plate of calamari, which we enjoyed. We also had a Cesar salad with chicken, anchovies on the side .I was so hungry I ate the anchovies. The salad didn’t have little strips of chicken — it had whole chicken breasts– it was kind of insane. I ate them! The most insane thing I saw was the guy next to me didn’t understand the bit about the menu with the dishes for 4. He was from Belgium and probably didn’t quite get it .When his dish came out he looked astonished and I could not keep from laughing. It was HUGE! It would have allowed the entire village to feast. He ate about one fifth of it. Every time I looked, I laughed(I wasn’t being mean — it just looked funny).I’m sure he’s firmly convinced Americans eat too much. Carmines seems profoundly influenced by old Ronzoni, Chef Boyardi, Spatini Spaghetti Sauce and Francesco Rinaldi commercials. You can picture Anthony running home for Princes spaghetti on Bostons North End and people saying stuff like Mangia and Abbodonza. It’s actually funny, fun and good natured. Here everyone gets to be a paisan.

Before you come to eat here make sure you bring your appetite and a big party! This place is family style and all of their portions are served to feed at least four people. If you are going out with just two people I would skip on this place unless you know you can eat a lot or want a lot of leftovers. Our waitress was really nice and friendly. I was very happy with the service we received. We ordered the fried zucchini. Even with four people eating it we ended up with the most leftovers of this. I really liked this dish and was impressed and was better than I thought it would be. I wasn’t able to eat a lot because it was a bit on the greasy side and quickly filled me up. For dinner we ordered the ravioli’s and a side of meatballs. We didn’t get the actual meatball dish because it came with pasta and we knew we wouldn’t be able to eat all that food. I was smart because the pasta would have been too much. I really liked the meatballs. They were really tender and melted in your mouth. I would like to try the pasta next time though. We opted out of dessert because we were all too full but if you have enough room I’d say go for it because everything I saw looked awesome! Overall, good just very filling.

This place is great for family’s but not for two people. Lucky here they have half orders of certain pastas! My girlfriend and I walked by and immediately got drawn in by other people’s pastas on their table. We sat at the bar because that’s where they only offer half sized pastas. Which is perfect for two people! We ordered the Penne Al Vodka and it was delish. The sauce was felt homemade and the pasta was cooked al dente. They even give you a pretty good bread basket with assorted breads to eat from. I didn’t really like our server that was the bartender. He wasn’t very inviting and kept trying to push the large pasta to us when you know we won’t finish it. After we even ordered our pasta, he kept wanting us to order a appetizer but we can’t cause it’s HUGE. Other than that, the pasta here was great and will come back for it.
