The Las Vegas Jewelry and Watch Show was a fine diversion. I’m glad we came. And, one did not have to be a jewelry retailer or wholesaler to buy items for sale here at wholesale prices, which were running generally about half of retail. Diane and I just came off the street as curious consumers. I bought a different color variation of a globe covered with gemstones that I had paid much more for recently on a cruise ship. Diane purchased some inexpensive necklaces; and we bought a multi-colored butterfly jewelry box to be given as a gift. Items of jewelry, stones, leather, handbags, and innumerable trinkets ranged from a low of $ 1 to over $ 1,000. It was easy to find something that was not needed but desirable to buy anyway. The show was labeled a jewelry and watch show, but I only saw very cheap watches on display. And, although jewelry appraisers were supposed to be on premises, we never found one. Nevertheless, this show was worth seeing, and we will probably attend again when it returns to Las Vegas, reportedly in August of 2015.
