Alternator Starter Exchange of Las Vegas

Valley view just before Viking. It all the way to the back on the right hand side. Don’t look for a big sign on this tiny one bay door unit. There you will see an old oriental man who looks like the «key maker» in the matrix. You will see rows of alternators and starters waiting for rebuild. He asked if l needed the same day and l said «yes!» Mr. Chang called me in an hour and a half for pick up and function tested with his machine in front of me. I had a chap alternator that barrings failed on me. It took Chan bout 20 mins to press in a set and clean it up. He charged me $ 35 vs $ 110 at local parts store. I left his shop a happy customer.

I have a Military truck with 2 Alternators & one went bad so I initially had a nightmare with trying to find the right replacement. Needless to say, the new one stopped working properly 2 weeks after I purchased it. I luckily found the gem of place and he took one look at it figured out what the issue was & replaced a crappy core component with a much better replacement part and it’s now working perfectly. I highly recommend this place and you’d be much better off not buying a new one but having him rebuild one for you. This way you’ll have a better Alternator for less money!

I called around for an alternator and all the parts stores were in the $ 200 — $ 230 range. I called this shop and he offered me a freshly rebuilt alternator for $ 95. When I got there I asked if he could check my alternator to be sure I needed one and it just happened to be working fine. My voltage light was coming on and off, so I knew the alternator was going out. I even had it tested at the parts store and it had failed 20 minutes earlier. Chen the owner asked me if I could take out the alternator and he took it apart and showed me the brushes inside were failing. He replaced them in a few minutes put it back together and tested it. He charged me a third of the price he quoted me for a rebuilt one. I got such a great deal I even tipped him $ 10 ! Very knowledgable in his profession– it was cool to watch him work. Definitely the only place I’m going for my starter or alternator needs.

The owner I believe is Chang, he was very helpful to me. I accidentally dropped my alternator and bent the pulley. I called Mr. Chang and he said to stop by the shop, so he could find me the part. So, after looking through the piles of pulley’s he had, he couldn’t find one, and took one off a newly rebuild alternator that he carefully match to mine.
Mr. Chang was great, honest, and affordable. I called around and the five shops that I did call didn’t carry just the pulley. They wanted me to purchased a whole alternator. Toyota wanted $ 300 for their OEM Alternator!
