Allstate Electric

Started off great. Lady who answered the phone was very helpful and got me an appointment on the same day. Technician was very friendly but lacked since of urgency. Felt like he was «milking the clock,» buy playing with my dogs and making a lot of small talk. When he presented the bill I noticed that he charged for 1 ½ hrs, however he was only here for 52 minutes. Just feel taken advantage of. Maybe you will have better luck but I won’t use them again.

Allstate electric is 5 stars all the way. I have been using their services since they opened and it’s a top notch organization. They employ the best technicians and office staff from a customer service standpoint and all their electricians are certified and trained correctly. I can’t say enough good things about this electric company. I read some bad reviews here on Unilocal and I guess some people are either cheap or a total pain in the ass to work with. Everytime I’ve worked with allstate electricians they’ve always been as helpful as possible in saving money. I will say this — if you don’t want quality work done or are looking for the cheapest company it won’t be this one. They hire based on knowledge not how much the techs will «pick up» on the job. If you want the best electricians in the las vegas area or if you have an electric emergency — call Allstate Electric, they’ll help you out!

We had light go out and could not seem to get another bulb in. We called Allstate because we have used them in the past. They had to come out twice that time, but only because they installed a faulty part the first time. But they didn’t charge to replace it, so I thought they were straight shooters. Well I still think they are by the book, but this time we felt kind of taken. The electrician (an assumption on my part) was friendly enough, though I did not learn his name. He was wearing black sweatpants and sweatshirt with no name tag or company insignia. He came in an hour which was awesome. But the electrician quickly figured the socket still worked (not the reason for our call), and it was indeed hard to get the bulb screwed in. He suggested pulling the recessed lamp out to get a better grip on the bulb. Then he called Allstate who told him that the 2 minutes of work meritted a service call fee of $ 85! So nothing criminal here, but word to the wise-​no breaks from these guys!

The WORST experience. Ended up costing me hundreds of dollars more because of their inexperience and blaze’ attitude.
I expected to get a fixture up on my atrium. Their guy put it up with giant mismatched color screws sticking 3″ out of my fixture and expected that I would’ve alright with that. Very unprofessional. But I never got to gripe about it because the fixture wouldn’t turn on. It kept shorting and he couldn’t figure out why so he told me to go get my fixture looked at or «just buy a new one».
So I spent the entire next 6 days finding a lamp repair guy (it’s a dying art but thank goodness for the Lamp Doctor and Len who saved me from throwing thousands down the tube). My lamp was fine!!! Turns out their own shoddy work was causing it to short (had something to do with those massive screws and the bracket they used).
Now I’m waiting for them to call me back on how to scrape up what’s left of their customer service and of course I haven’t heard from anyone. My advice: call another electrical company and save yourself the trouble/​time/​$$$.

I received a refund on the cost of my service and a call from the technician apologizing that better care wasn’t taken. I appreciate both so I’m bumping my review up to 2 stars, which is fair.

After reading positive reviews I called Las Vegas Electric which is apparently just a cover business name on the internet for Allstate Electric as they are the same company. A live human answered the phone and I was able to get an appointment within 2 days. I specifically stated I needed help with non-​functioning surround sound speakers and outlets. The technician arrives within the scheduled timeframe. We review the issues and he immediately states he does not work on speakers. Why would the company send someone out to work on speakers who doesn’t do this type of work. He asks me to hold on, goes out to his van and comes back in saying he can now get it all done. I ask how he is going to suddenly work on my speakers. He says the office talked him through it. I could have also looked up a you tube video on fixing speakers but that’s why I called a professional. Ummm… no.
He then gives me a quote of $ 250 just to diagnose the issue. That is $ 125 to look at outlets and $ 125 to look at speakers. So even if the speakers are blown or unrepairable that was the fee. I’ve never had a services company charge me more than $ 100 max to just diagnose the problem. I excused him. Kudos to the company and their prompt scheduling and keeping of appointments but boo to price gauging in nice neighborhoods. Back to the drawing board to try and find an ethical electrician in Las Vegas.

We bought an old house! Well…“OLD” by Las Vegas standards it was built in 1992! LOL! It had not been touched since it was put on the market by the developer. To say she needed a face-​lift was an understatement!
We started and dug in! The house needed an bunch of electrical upgrades, light fixture changes, a whole bunch of stuff. And since Allstate had done some work at my place of employment, I decided to give them a call. And so glad I did!
Alex was assigned to my job. He was AMAZING! Such an incredible eye for detail. Even when I was trying to be cheap, and save a few dollars he would politely explain why that was not the right decision and what would be a better choice. And he was ALWAYS 100% correct! I was so glad to have him on board.
In the end, they came to the house 3 different times, as the work progressed to completion. Every time with a smile and taking care of everything that was needed, even a few last minute requests that I asked for after they arrived.
Allstate is a company that works from a place of integrity and customer service satisfaction. Every staff person I have spoken to has been friendly & helpful.
I would not go anywhere else for my electrical needs!

Allstate Electric is one of the finest electric companies in Las Vegas do to their professionalism and creativity and prices are awesome. We had ceiling fans, electrical outlets, specific wiring and even a solar quote which was amazing. Their prices are fair and reasonable and I’m sure you’ll enjoy working with them as much as I did.

Excellent electric company, I needed a new outlet and ceiling fans with home theater — they were able to do all of it, wow! I was wanting the best electrician and home theater company and found it, how cool is that!
I wish every service I found was as awesome and creative as them!

Had AE come out twice for two different occasions, they were sent out by our HW company, two different techs and BOTH gave great service, they showed up just like they said they would, did the work and all is well… these guys are a keeper… Im sure they can be hired outside of the HW but I don’t know what they charge, they’d be worth it anyway… If we ever need them again, we’ll be requesting them for sure.

This company was assigned to me by my home warranty. I’ve had bad experiences with vendors before through my home warranty, but this encounter was as smooth as it gets. They called in the time frame mentioned by the home warranty to set up an appointment to look at my electrical outlets. Also, they were able to accommodate me with a later appointment time. On the day of service, the technician showed up in the time frame indicated. He was courteous enough to take off his shoes upon entering. I’ve had other companies that just walked onto my white carpets with their dirty shoes… so I was glad he took off his shoes by his own volition. He went straight to work on the outlets after getting approval from the home warranty. I would definitely recommend them for ease of communication. I’m not sure what their normal call fees are, but the technician did a great job and worked efficiently.
