ChaChi’s

Location is great, service is good, presentation is nice, but all the dishes suffer from a total lack of basic seasoning. Meat needs salt and pepper. Beans, rice, ground beef tacos, tamales, enchiladas and Gorditas were bland, bland, bland. The other location in town, of course, is the same. We may stop by after work at Happy Hour, but we will NOT be eating here again. La Posta de Mesilla still takes the Mexican food prize here for us in this town.

This little place in Doña Ana has great food and friendly service. I enjoyed the chicken flauta plate, which included three sizeable corn flautas, beans, rice, salad and hefty scoops of sour cream and guacamole.
My parents had been telling me how great this place is for months, and they were right.

This place is Fabulous! I love their Mexican Food! My taste buds are satisfied every time I go there And get me Enchiladas or for breakfast their Pancakes!

OK! Went back last night. OMG! Just confirmed my last review. Best simple stacked cheese enchiladas with red sauce I have ever eaten. Period. Anywhere. Period.

This is a nice place. It used to be Alejandro’s, which was decent, then it became the Cow Palace, the interior was upgraded and the patio seating was converted to an indoor space. Unfortunately the Cow Palace was overpriced for the area, and did not last long. I was happy when Cha Chi’s took over. They have a solid menu with fair prices. I work just down the street, and everyone in the office comes to Cha Chi’s for lunch. The food is good. The service is nice.

This place is the shit! I got the red enchilada plate and it was so delicious. On top of the great food the service is fantastic. I just wish there was more seating cuz this place is always packed.

I had a very, very good meal here. My carne asada taco plate came with deliciously seasoned thin strips of beef, perfectly cooked and charred just enough to have that perfect smoky flavor. The soft flour taco shells had their own fresh flavor, not there just to hold the stuffings together but part of the experience. Just yum.
The service was excellent (thanks, Liliana) — friendly and helpful while not intrusive. It was inexpensive, fast and filling. The restaurant was clean and attractive, though not McDonald’s sterile and handsome — for me, a good thing. I got out of there with tacos, very good salad and a Negra Modelo for less than $ 15 with tip.
This is from a guy who’s sick of same-​old-​same-​old Tex-​Mex. This just isn’t that food.

Excellent Mexican food. The portions are large and the chili is great smothered. Get the enchiladas with an egg.
