Five stars, five diamonds or five karats. I don’t know what to appropriately use to rate this first rate place to buy beautiful things, from sterling silver flatware, stunning jewelry, objects d’art, antiques and collectibles to just all around «desire-​ables.»
The distinctive, domed Largo building that is home to the Silver Queen represents a store that is as individualized and specialized as they come. This family-​owned business has been in operation for more than 40 years. It began is a coin shop and has since grown into a highly polished operation that features rare sterling silver pieces, tracks down specific flatware patterns to help clients locate that perfectly matched «missing piece» and offers special occasion gifts, from previously owned to brand new, for newborns, brides and grooms, anniversaries and celebrations of every kind.
Buyers have been expertly assessing pieces for decades so clients can take their cherished items there with confidence when it comes time to part with a family heirloom, formerly favorite piece of designer jewelry and even treasured coin collections. The old world charm and elegance exuded here isn’t limited to the inventory. Everyone is warmly greeted and provided assistance without a hint of pushiness or pressure.
There are plenty of items to ogle and prices for all budgets so don’t be afraid to occasionally drop by to see what’s new or take a look at what’s old. There is even a fascinating silver museum that features the owners’ private collection of precious treasures, including a spoon made by Paul Revere, that can be admired, but not acquired.
This place is a delight, a discovery and a valuable resource for valued items. Be sure to visit during some of their hard-​to-​resist sales events like the Annual Garage Sale in October, the Thanks Giving It Away and Black Friday events in November and Christmas sale in December.

I saw the commercials and went to the store to purchase coins and a ring. I walked in and was told to take a number. There was no one in the store except 6 employees. I went over to the coin area and was told they only have bullion not collector type coins. I walked over to the jewelry counter to look at rings. There was a gemtleman behind the counter who was busy placing boxes in the display cases. I saw 2 rings I wanted to look at. I said to the man I like this one and this one. He kept on going about his business. I was horrified that I could not get any help with my purchase. I walked around the store and not one employee would help me view anything in the store. I know why the store was empt yon a Saturday afternoon. The lack of professionalism was evident. Never shop here the employees need to be trained on how to help customers conduct business.
