Unfortunately when I went the other day they had been closed due to some permits. I was quite upset. I love this place

I literally could have walked here from my office. I’ve never even noticed it driving down the road. Thankfully Unilocal has once again helped me find a gem I would never have found! I’m just sad I didn’t find this place sooner.
Located right next to Thornton’s off Starkey. In front of what looks like an auto body shop, in the grass is a small red/​yellow shack with TACO signs all over it. The lady that served me was nice and helpful. She said it was 3 for $ 3 tacos and I was like, hell yeah! She offered me one of each (a chorizo beef, a pork and a chicken taco) since I couldn’t make up my mind (LOL) with medium green salsa.
Authentic style tacos here! No cheese or sour cream, which I don’t like anyways (lookin’ at you Taco Bell). Great tasting meat with cilantro and onions served on corn tortillas. YUM! I threw some salsa on them and my mouth did a happy dance.

My boyfriend and I wanted some tacos and we found this place! I absolutely love it, the tacos were very flavorful. On Wednesday they have a 3 for $ 3 deal for beef and chorizo, can’t beat that! We got 9 tacos and we were stuffed! And it’s only 5 minutes away from us :)

I have been wanting to try this place for a while but my schedule always conflicted. Finally went today and i was very pleased. The tacos are of the authenitic type like you find in california or texas etc. carnitas, beef and chirizo was freaking awesome. 3 tacos for 3 dollars i purchased 6 total and was full.

Cheap and good. Best tacos in the area in my opinion.
Try the torta (Mexican sandwich). You will not be sorry. Delicious.
Be careful of the fire sauce. It lives up to the name.

Really authentic mexican food. Had some yummy tacos, the beef, chicken and chorizo. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

La Yucateca — Food from the Yucatan peninsula. My wife and I ordered six hard shell beef tacos. Six tacos, and two drinks came to $ 11.00. Now, I’ve never had them done this way, they take flour tortilla’s, and fry them. They are crunchy, and delicious. (kind of like a tortilla bowl you might get a taco salad in, but not that crumbly)
Dollar Taco days on Tuesday, and Thursday. The staff are friendly and quick!
Yay for the little taco truck!!!
Next time, I try the burritos.

This is one of my favorite places to go for lunch! I’ve been going here for years now. It is the same owners of Señor Taco and I actually ate at this tiny shack before learning they actually had a restaurant! On Tuesdays and Thursdays, they have dollar tacos! Authentic Mexican, they make hand made tortillas to order and they have 5 or 6 different meats to choose: chicken, steak, pork, BBQ pork, chorizo, etc. and may come with marinated onions, cilantro, and a tiny lime wedge. The also have huge burritos, tortas, and some specialty dishes that are awesome! Get some fire hot sauce and a Mexican soda and you are good to go!

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this place after reading reviews for «Señor Taco». La Yucateca is the sister food cart of the restaurant. There was a small footnote on Señor Taco’s menu listing the cart.
The cart is located on a dirt lot in front of car repair warehouses. There are several picnic tables around the cart and very few bar stools along the window. The special of the day is listed on the windows. Thursdays are $ 1 tacos (any meat). I spent $ 5 and was thoroughly satisfied. A regular had just finished 20 tacos and gave the establishment his approval.
I will definitely be returning here for some good down home tacos without all the flair that has been killing Mexican food across the nation.

I was introduced to this stand by my husband, who was first introduced to it by his ex-​boss. I’ve only had their steak burrito, and it was absolutely delicious, very filling. I just think that for a little taco stand, the menu is a bit overpriced. Not sure if I would return.

La Yucateca is a taco trailer/​stand that seems to fly way under the radar of most Tampa/​Pinellas foodies. While the Señor Taco restaurant in Pinellas Park has received excellent reviews from online sites as well as the St. Pete Times, this little sister gem gets scant attention, even though the St. Pete times featured it in their 2010 «Tampa Bay’s best food carts» list. Which is a shame as this is where Señor Taco’s owners, Carlos and Cinthia Sosa, first began serving up their authentic Yucatan fare in the area for three years before adding Señor Taco.
The La Yucateca trailer is located in a field at the northeast corner of Starkey and Ulmerton roads in Largo, and it’s open 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Saturday. Seating is just a few picnic tables. But don’t let this humble structure fool you, there is some seriously delicious food served up here by the friendly cook.
The menu is simple, just tacos, burritos and a few more items. The tasty corn tortillas and salsa taste just like the ones Carlos makes by hand at Señor Taco, and everything is cooked to order. One of my favorites is the Mayan barbecued pork sandwich, which wraps the meat in banana leaves and is marinated in orange juice and spices. I’ve had both the carnitas (pork) and beef tacos with excellent results. You can also get your Jarritos Mexican soda fix here along with Coke products.
Señor Taco/​La Yucateca is definitely in my Top 3 list of taco shops in Pinellas county, and gets a solid 4 stars on my Taco Stand rating standard.
