We are always looking for new spots for our spoiled little shihtzu to play. By this side of the beach, it is pretty minimal. We finally found a small space at Bellaire Causeway. This is a spot to launch a small boat, kayak or canoe. It is the intercoastal. It is nice, there’s decent parking, and there’s sand and water. It is easy to wade in the water or take a splash in there.
Our dog was happy that he could play and that makes us happy. Definitely not a favorite spot for us, but it is good to know it is there.

This is a great spot to launch your boat or fish from the perimeter. There is plenty of well-​lit parking, the ramps are perfect and there is plenty of space to soak your lines and still be well out of the way of the ramps.
Additionally, there is now a bait & tackle shop that carries a full load of everything you’ll need to enjoy the day on or near the water. Enjoy!
