Nice location, cool, hip vibe and pretty busy for a Thursday night. Service was great, pretty quick and food was tasty. Drinks seemed basic, wish there was a better cocktail menu. Falafel was prepared beautifully, sauces were on point, shrimp app was also very tasty. Décor is a bit lacking but overall great quality Turkish food.

The Turquoise experience almost always begins with a friendly hello from the owner and from there, it only gets better. The hummus an olives are perfect and the entrees are delicious. Regardless if you are looking for a light salad or a filling meal, they’ve got you covered. On top of this they have created an atmosphere that works for a quiet night out or a meal with the kids.

Have been there many times but what prompted this review [finally] is that we came for a special lamb dinner with meat ordered for the occasion from Turkey. Fall-of-the-bone delicious. Plus grilled octopus and other lovely appetizers. Loved it and highly recommend, also for the relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff and owner Emil. Will be back.

Excellent food. Come for the kufta, enjoy the rice salad and cacik(tzaziki) sauce. And Emil the owner is a sweetheart.

The food is terrific, the service is outstanding, and the owner is amazing. He takes such good care of you that you think you are in his home. We are starting to go weekly… One of the best places in Westchester! Just go and introduce yourself to the owner you will immediately have a new friend and a great new local restaurant. Eat in or take out the food is excellent!!!

Huge fan. Expensive but delicious Mediterranean fare. Portions are on the small side, especially with apps, but everything is good. Great place for vegetarians to go.

Very upset… ordered take out food tonight. Paid $ 46.00 and the amount of food I received for my money was nothing. Spinach Primavera for $ 20.00 and hardly got anything inside my takeout container. Will never go here again. Waste of my time and money

Excellent food with nice ambiance. It may not seem it from the looks but very child friendly for lunch or an early dinner. My kids love it. Bonus points for a nice selection of scotch(not for the kids)

Easily the best Mediterranean in Larchmont! I usually treat myself to some Turkish tea, which is always brought in a beautiful glass with an authentic design on it. The ambiance is gorgeous, and makes you feel as if you’re in a Turkish courtyard, sipping a glass of lemonsweet. But yes, the food. I usually like to order the octopus from the hot meze selection. It is always brought piping hot and ready to eat. They also bring some complementary pita and olives, the olives bathing in their own oil. The pita is always warm and the olives always delicious. For the entrée, the Donner is delicious, as are the kebabs, but, to be totally honest, I prefer to order a few meze plates as opposed to getting just one plate and an entrée. It’s not cheap, but it’s well worth it to pop in for dinner every month or two. This is not only my favorite Turkish, but also one of my favorite restaurants in the area,(especially considering the number of lackluster places in larchmont that dare to call themselves authentic!)

We’ve eaten at Turquoise a few times, but there had been a hiatus of a couple of years since the last time. Generally, in the past I believed it performed well above expectations. Simple, delicious, authentic Turkish food. Between the last time we were there and this evening, something happened — something bad. This is a restaurant that has cratered. The food has become really disappointing. One can only conclude that the people in the kitchen are not Turkish. And don’t know how to cook Turkish food. And have never tasted Turkish food. We’ve had some nice meals there in the past; however, while It’s sad to say, we wont be going back. Gave it three stars; probably deserved 2.5…

Really glad we stopped here(thanks Unilocal!) The Doner and vegetarian dishes were delicious, satisfying and well seasoned. Very solid and healthy fare. Wait staff was attentive. Would definitely come back.

There were two Turkish spots that came up when we searched for it in my area. Both had great reviews but this place appeared to be the underdog so we wanted to give them a shot. We found parking very easily and were able to walk in and get seated promptly. The place was relatively empty for a Friday night. The décor here was pretty plain but there’s nothing wrong with that. We skipped the appetizers and went straight to the entrees. Doner plate with bulgar was nice but the baby lamb chops left a bit to be desired. All said and done its a solid place to have Turkish food.

The environment is typically turkish(lights, music furniture, etc.) and transmits a warm feelingfood. The food is very good, Turkish wine is the best, the dessert is delicious, and Turkish coffee is special. Low price for best quality!!! The owner is very very nice man!!! :-) A word of advice… TRY!!!

Nice spot. We sat outside, which was very pleasant, and got the hot meze plate and the octopus appetizer. Both were deliciously seasoned(glad that it was served with a lemon wedge-much needed) and the food didn’t feel as heavy as Turkish food usually does. A very nice summer choice with good food and kind staff: we’ll definitely be back.

I m spoiled with Turkish in the city and Brooklyn i guess which makes this place look bad. The mixed appetizer which is my favorite bites of everything was nothing special and the presentation wasnt there. You expect the service in Turkish places to be okay but here there was hardly any service… the waitress said that they didnt expect a crowd so the owner had to help which was nice but i feel like everything was late and the the atmosphere wasnt turkish at all. We will give this place deff another chance to avoid going to the city

Came here with my bf the other day. The food was okay. I didn’t like the fact they didn’t have real Turkish bread. I expected the fluffy Turkish ciabbata but instead we got gyro stand pitas. We got the calamari which was EXTREMELY rubbery. It is the second worst calamari I ever tasted, being that sea shore’s was my first worst. But at least the sauce was not marinara and yummy. Now for the food my bf got doner kabob and I got the adana. The doner tasted like it was boiled with no seasonings and had no taste whatsoever The Adana(I left the worst for last) was actually delicious! Until I found a hair wrapped around my second piece. I’d give them 2 stars but the hair just made it a zero. Unfortunately I would give them 0 stars but I can’t !

NOTE: The head chef has since left since my review was posted… An authentic slice of Turkey in… Larchmont? Turquoise is nice. Reliably good food. My lady and I honeymooned around Turkey and the food at Turquoise would be right at home there. Everything is quite fresh and well-prepared. The octopus puts Evvia to shame and the lamb chops are really good. What’s more, the place is lively and a lot of fun. Even has great take out. Rating Scale: 1 Star: Avoid the town in which this place is located just to be safe. 2 Star: Risky at best. 3 Star: I’ll try it again or consume here in a pinch. 4 Star: I eat here regularly if financially and calorically feasible. 5 Star: I’m comfortable taking other chefs here.

I have been eating here for over 10 years, since their first location on Mamaroneck Avenue. My family is on a first name basis with the owner, who is one of the nicest and warmest people as other reviewers have said. Ambiance is kind of like an upscale Hookah lounge… low tables and lots of colors. My mom’s family is Turkish, so I’ve had a lot of Turkish food and this really is some of the very best! Their salads are always fresh, chicken Adana always moist, and babaganoush is delicious. If you like dolmas(grape leaves), they are the best here!!! Try some baklava or souvlak for dessert. Prices are very reasonable too!
