I’m changing my rating to 5 stars. This is my favorite place for a quick night out. Sometimes service is slow, other times it’s great. I don’t care — I love it here and just hope for the best when I go for dinner. Sure, I hate sitting with people I don’t know and waiting longer than I would like sometimes, but still. It’s a local restaurant, it’s not part of a chain, and it’s inexpensive. I love that they now offer coupons, which I hope isn’t a sign of any financial problems — so I hope they stick around for a while. The last 2 times we came were great. Once, we used Groupon. Another time, restaurant dot com certificates. We had not ever had such good service as we have had recently, and the food was great.

It was a rainy Sunday afternoon, and my wife and I decided to order some sushi for pick up, since we never tried this sushi place, and got a voucher for 15 dollars off a 30 dollar order, we decided to place an order. My wife placed the order and I got in my car for a 18 min ride to pick up the sushi. I got to the place and was shocked that the parking lot was a ghost town, I was the only car in the lot. I went inside and waited a min before a lady came, and not a soul in this place. I always get scared when you see an empty sushi place, the turn over should be high in order to have fresh fish for your guests, but I wanted to give them a try. The lady said 42.56, I gave the voucher, and she said this is only for dine in. Very strange as I had many vouchers from and they would always specify if it can’t be used in a certain manner. On this voucher it stated it can’t be used Friday or Saturday. I asked the lady to show me where it states it needs to be dine in, and what is the difference if I take it out or eat it in front of them. She said that is how it works and said 42.56. I took my voucher back and said thank you, and good bye. I am only guessing that they want people to dine in cause the place is empty and they want others to think its popping. On my way home I picked up from our usual resturant and got home and started to eat our food. 30 min after I left the resturant, a lady calls and said your food is ready for pick up, lol. I was shocked, I went over the story with the lady, and explained to her that customer service is lacking and this was the first and last time I would visit this place. F — , save your money and go to a place where they aren’t rude.

Fuji Mountain is a great place for families with kids. We have three children, ages 9, 6 and 3. Pros: value/portions: We split two children’s meals(one steak, one chicken) between my three kids. My husband orders a regular portion of steak with shrimp. The meals come with a choice of soup or salad and noodles and/or fried/steamed rice. There is more than enough food to feed a family of five. I’m not a fan of the sodium, which is why I usually order a couple of pieces of sashimi or a sushi roll, which is decent quality(and I’m picky)! Variety: there’s sushi/sashimi(as mentioned above), hibachi as well as other standard teriyaki type items that can be ordered off the menu. Atmosphere: this is a great place to take your kids when you just need to get out, but you know their behavior won’t fly in the majority of restaurants. The festive and lively environment lends itself well to BIRTHDAY parties. The show: We’ve been lucky to have a few hibachi chefs who have lots of fun with the food preparation and make efforts to interact with the kids. Desserts: My kids love to split the insanely large sundae they offer. A very once in a while treat. They also ALWAYS bring delicious ORANGE slices regardless of whether you order dessert. And when you’re walking out the door, the hostess gives the kids Japanese chewing gum! Parking: plenty of it with a large lot right next to the restaurant. Cons: Too much sodium in the food, but I find this pretty much on par with similar types of hibachi. Temperature/smoke in restaurant: it gets warm in the restaurant, due to flames(part of the show) and large tables closely packed together. Clothes always smell like restaurant fumes afterwards. *Some* of the hibachi chefs are awesome, but others lack personality and seem rushed.

If you are looking to be robbed, this is the place! Went last weekend with a friend and both paid with our credit cards. Soon there after we found our cards being used at places in Flushing, where neither of us were. Only explanation was that our information was stolen here, as it was the last and only place the cards were used together before the fraudulent activity began. Absolute scum running this place that they have employees which are getting away with this. I will make SURE every person in Westchester knows about this and never steps foot in this business again. Not to mention the service and food is far from good. Not the last Fuji Mountain will be hearing from us. Banks, police, Better Business Bureau, etc. are being contacted and will get involved.

Fuji Mountain is a excellent Teppenyaki Steakhouse. The service was excellent. I was seated automatically. The wait staff were coming every 5 minutes to fill my water glass and I wasn’t rushed to finish my food. The chef was also excellent. He was hilarious. He cooked great food. He also asked us to film and take pictures of the fire for Social Media posting. Anyway, all of the food was delicious. Keep up the good work!!! I’ll be coming back a lot!!!

While it is common to see Japanese restaurants with Korean owners/staff, it is surprising to find a Japanese restaurant with Chinese owners/staff. Regardless, I enjoyed my meal here. This is your standard hibachi restaurant with extensive selections of beverages, sushi, entrees and a full bar. There are many great eateries in Westchester but few specifically tailor to young families. Located in Larchmont, this restaurant is tailored towards young families and provides an «entertaining» experience for all. Good for a date night but it is more suited for a family outing. As always, hibachi is all about the performance so if you are in a hurry, this is not the best place to be. Give yourself 1 — 2 hours dining here. During my recent first visit, I tried the combo option of «land and sea for two» with clear soup, a small salad, chicken, lobster, scallops, filet mignon, fried rice, noodles with veggies, and ice cream(you choose two from vanilla, red bean, or green tea flavors). If you want the fancy dessert like mousse cake or fried cheesecake, you pay extra. I don’t think this place has a website but the Unilocal«Full Menu» section is pretty accurate. Pros: 1. So much food! If you order standard hibachi, you get comp clear soup, a small salad, veggies, either fried rice or noodles(choose one or choose two for $ 3 extra), and 2 pieces of shrimp as an «appetizer» 2. My chef was both entertaining and skilled. While he was performing and cooking the meal, he sure used a lot of «Coca-Cola»(soy sauce) for our entrees 3. A lot of staff were on-site but they were attentive and accommodating. I was seated next to a family of 5 and they had several special requests and the chef was very patient and understanding 4. I believe you could walk in without a reservation but still you better make sure to call ahead for a table 5. Ample parking Cons: 1. Soda is a la carte. Not to my liking but it is a standard practice for Japanese restaurants 2. My chicken was too dry and not very edible. But again, chicken tends to run dry when grilled so it’s understandable 3. Edamame for $ 5 is steep but portion size was good. It was way too salty

I came here for the first time tonight with my mom. We had the sushi and it was fantastic! I had a bamboo roll which was a weekly special and it was so delicious. My mom loves salmon skin hand rolls. You can tell a lot about a place if they make those good and the salmon skin hand roll was right on point. A nice touch was that they brought out a juicy sweet cut up orange at the end to cleanse out palates.

This place was really a great find! From outside it looks like a bunker so we never thought of going there, but some people recommended so we tried. The food was quite tasty, but the reason for the 5 stars is the experience. The tables are all around one of these heating plates and we ordered hibachi(which is the name of the plate). When the cook arrives, he delivers a pretty entertaining show, involving big flames, squirting sake in the guests mouths, squirting water over the kids, and aiming bits of fried eggs in each of the guests mouths. The performance lasted for most of our meal and had the kids off their tablets for once, and made them laugh, and us adults were enjoying it as well. I am looking forward to show this place to friends, it was really an unforgettable experience!

Me and my boyfriend love hibachi and go here at least once a month. The food is so good. The only annoying thing is you have to pick between fried rice or noodles(obviously for $ 3 you get both) but still it’s the point. We always come back it’s never too overly crowed and load. The sushi is good and they always give you a shot after your food(we love) the salmon is my favorite and my boyfriend always does steak with lobster. It’s so much food so go hungry and be prepared for leftovers.

I decided to go on the website and read the reviews before attending yesterday 8÷18÷2015 and i am so happy i did not follow some of the negative reviews. We were a party of 4 and our waitress and chef(really wish i had gotten his name) were GREAT. I did a video while our meals were being prepared and showed to my husband when we got home i must say he was a very jealous lol we will be visiting together soon i am only hoping i will receive the same experience on my second visit.

Fun entertainment for the kids and the food is great too! The staff is very kid friendly and the kids love the show and I think they eat more and better when they see the cook working. Nice to be able to have an adult conversation while the kids are entertained.

Food was good The chef was not very entertaining I guess since there was only 4 people at table… tables around us were all having a great time, but our chef just cooked … No flipping of shrimp or veggies to catch and no Sake pouring … But thank goodness his cooking skills don’t follow his entertaining skills … So make sure you go with enough people to make it worth their time to put on a show for you…

No stars for you, Fuji Mountain! Very disappointing experience last weekend. Generally the food is «OK.» But last week I had my vegetarian daughter with me. She ordered the vegetarian dinner and was given NOENTREE!!! The regular soup, salad, rice and veggie side was provided, but when we asked where her dinner was we were told that«that was it.» She ordered a meal, and one would think they would have at least doubled up on the veggies which would have served as a satisfying dinner(by the way, EDO does a great job at providing a vegetarian dinner), but no, she had a SIDE… The rest of our dinners were bland, and boring. On another note, the tables are cramped, and everyone that walked behind us bumped into our chairs. Not a very good show.

I went a Thursday evening for habachi and sushi for a friends birthday. We were sat instantly since we had the virtually the entire restaurant. Our drink orders were taken promptly. 2 people got habachi which was very entertaining the chef was very nice and engaged us all even those who ordered sushi like myself. My only complaint was that the sashimi I ordered was about room temperature or a little warmer considering it was about 80 degrees in there. I also had the tuna salmon tartare which was really good.

Went to Fuji Mountain for dinner tonight with my girls. We were seated at a table with a young couple and their two kids who were text books. We still tried to have a good time despite our somber table mates. The waitress approached us within moments of us sitting down to ask for our drink order. Because we like drinks, we quickly decided. The waitress then came back about 2 min later to ask for our food order, when we said we were not ready yet, she told us we had to order because the somber family was ready to have the chef come to our table. We were miffed at her pushy demeanor, but tried to oblige. The chef came over & was very cool and fun! He made jokes and built a tower of onions which he then engulfed in flamez! We said we love spicy food, and he replied spicy food love you! We wish we could have just tipped mr. Chef because he was great! Meanwhile the service continued to spiral into disaster! The servers kept trying to take our food away! We were all like no! Still eating! Andddd they brought a wrong dish and kept saying, «so you don’t want this???» Then they began putting our half eaten meals in to-go boxes when we still had chop stix in hand!!! Back off. All in all the food was great, mr. Chef was cool, and the servers were rude, crude and unattractive.
