Very nice place to eat. I go often with fellow workers family and friends. Have not had a bad dish yet. Great service.

We usually go to La Carreta in La Place. We noticed El Paso opened and was always busy, so we thought we’d give them a try. We ordered the same thing we always order at the other place to do a true comparison. We were seated a few booths from the front of the restaurant. The young girls up front were constantly checking their phones and chatting, so much so that we could hear their loud conversations throughout 90 percent of our meal. Orders were taken, and we ordered the nachos. I asked if the toppings were separated and on the side(I eat tomatoes, he doesn’t; he likes sour cream, I don’t). The waitress assured me everything was separate. When the food arrives, the side plate had tomatoes and lettuce which were smothered by sour cream and guacamole. Since I had asked for it separate and it was now covered in toppings I don’t eat, I asked for lettuce and tomatoes separately. The waitress informed me it would be an extra charge. We agreed thinking it wouldn’t be much. The nachos were just okay. The ground beef lacked flavor, and the edges of the chips were charred and inedible. Cheese was minimal and not completed melted. Then the bill came. We were charged $ 1.00 for extra lettuce and $ 1.00 for tomatoes. Keep in mind the amount on the plate was about 3 tablespoons each; a head of lettuce sells for $ 1.00 at the local grocery store. It felt like a ripoff, especially since we had asked in advance. We paid our bill and concluded that it would be our only visit to El Paso.

You should probably try this place. Unless you hate Mariachi music and margaritas. Go here get a taco get a margarita. Have a nice time with friends, family, a date whatever. The chicken quesadilla is delish and is only $ 5 if you order it a la carte. Which means you have more money for happy hour margaritas. Your welcome. Side note sometimes this place looks crowded but it’s only because they share parking with the stores near them. I’ve never actually had to wait. They have some pretty cool outdoor seating too. I choose this place over la carettas for sure.

Hands down BEST quesadillas I’ve ever had!(shredded chicken). Food was presented very well, beautifully served on white plates(bonus points from me! Lol). We arrived during the lunch rush and were immediately seated to a table, and very shortly after we were served delicious chips and homemade salsa. Very clean place, I recommend eating here to all of my friends!

My husband and I borh love mexican food and come here once a week now that it’s opened. The food is delicious, hot and fast. The staff are always accomodating. Even when we order take out, we are just as happy eating from home.

Meh. I’m often amazed at what passes for a good Mexican place these days. It’s very attractive and clean looking when you walk in… very inviting. We sat at the bar, as thats just generally where I like to eat. First sign of a good mexican restaurant is good chips and salsa… the chips were fresh and not greasy, but blandly unsalty and their salsa was average. The more important second sign to me is their margaritas… Bartender was nice and friendly but young and seemed inexperienced as a bartender. I requested a skinny or organic margarita(no sour mix, make with squeezed lime), and she had to ask several people how to make it. Really?! This is not an unusual request in mexican restaurants where I live or anywhere else I’ve been. So after asking several people o. O she finds someone who(insert air quotes) knows how to make it, and this person proceeds to makes it with squeezed LEMONS. Ew. And some agave nectar and a splash of orange juice. I didn’t even know where to go from there. I asked for a few limes to doctor it up which she gave me. I think they were so flustered by my «odd» margarita request that they forgot the tequila. I thought I was drinking juice. I asked for a shot of tequila to put in it which she gave me, but by then my juice was so watered down and weird tasting, what with it being lemonade and all, that I wasn’t even interested anymore. For this horrendous excuse for a margarita(medium size) I was charged $ 17. Yes, SEVENTEEN! Now, where I live, we pay that for a really good quality margarita. I don’t mind paying that for quality. But for THAT? Shameful that she even charged me. When we were paying our bill the bartender suggested I should come back and try their regular margaritas(the one in the machine that no one has to have any bartending skill to make). If I wanted sour mix I’m well aware that I could’ve ordered that. I just don’t care for it. The fact that she told me that says she was aware I was unhappy with the lemonade margarita yet still charged me for it. The food I had was ok. Weird tasting enchilada sauce, and wasn’t impressed with their grilled chicken. I’d order something different if I ever happened to venture back there again. In all fairness my brother made a better food choice than I and really enjoyed his meal. He had a side of Spanish rice and it was really tender and flavorful. All in all, if you are in this town, sadly you have few good food choices. It will probably do well because of that. I would probably still opt for La Caretta simply because they know how to make an organic margarita with LIME.

Fish tacos were good but I was a little disappointed with tortilla soup. It was not very spicy. Friend had lunch enchiladas and they were good. Atmosphere and staff were excellent.
