Mena is the best hairdresser in the world. I’ve been all over the states and even out of the country I still say hands down Mena is the best for my hair. The hair products are top of the line and the service is exceptional. Thanks so Mena for all you do! Thanks to the washers and blow dryers as well. I highly recommend. Everyone I’ve ever seen with all types of hair walk out looking like a million dollars. Luv ya Keisha!

I’ve been going to Mena’s for several years and I am always pleased with my service. Mena personally does my hair and he is an excellent stylist! He is very big on customer satisfaction, which is getting to be a rare occurrence of businesses these days. I would highly recommend any one of Mena’s Hair Design salons.

Mena’s Hair Design is not a bad place. I’ve been going there for a couple of years. Sure they don’t speak good english, however I rather go there then spend an entire Saturday waiting to get my hair done at a Black hair salon in the hood. If you want a touch up, trim and cellophane try Mena’s. It works for me.

I recently went to Mena’s this past weekend after browsing the Unilocal reviews. Overall this is a salon that I will never visit again. I’m transitioning to natural & I wanted to try the dominican blowout. Now when i walked in i saw sisters with all different hair textures and backgrounds. This factor alone put me at ease. I’ve had several bad experiences with salons, but I thought I had found a great home. To my surprise I was absolutely wrong! At Mena’s they talk to you as if they are paying you… sit here, go there, do this, do that. My hair was washed, conditioned and then dried. Once I got into the chair to get my hair done, I noticed that my hair was still dry! Now several people on this site have said that Mena’s specializes in natural hair care. Absolutely NOT!!! Sam, who is a horribly stylist, told me that my hair was dry and damaged but couldn’t offer any solutions. He just continued to yank my head back and forth & talk on his cell phone. I was unsatisfied! To top it all off, I was charged a $ 5 fee for using my debit card??? I hate this salon & I encourage those who are transitioning to never ever go here!!! Trust me!!! This is not the salon for you!!!

Mena’s Hair design is a nice place to go to get your hair done if you can’t get an appointment at your normal salon, and you want to be in and out in an hour without an appointment. I also like they they are open on Sundays, & Mondays when all others if not most salons are closed. I believe in healthy hair care so I would never make Mena’s my regular salon for my hair, because of all the blow drying they do. Although your hair will be bouncy, pretty, and silky, all that blow drying isn’t good for your hair, which is why I only go every once in a while. The staff is very attentive, and pleasant, the prices are great, and they do a great job at styling african american thick/course hair with or without a relaxer.

I went here twice to get my hair done. Both times I was very disappointed. The customer service was shot to hell. I felt that they just want your money, and then for you to get out. There is no concern what so ever about the care of your hair. I have a short cut, the girl couldn’t even give me a decent lining. The first time I went, I told the man to cut just the ends, well he turned into” Edward Scissor Fool” on me. He cut way too much. We shouldn’t give second chances to bad businesses. Never again.
