Best selection on bourbon, scotch, and wines in the Leavenworth/Lansing area hands down. Craft beer selection is pretty good too and the«build your own 6 pack» option is always a plus. Military get 10% off on Mondays and usually they’ll give it to you throughout the week as well. They also will give me 10% off cases of wine when we buy in bulk the German reds we like. For anything better on options you’d need to go in to KC for Gomer’s or Lucas.

Lansing Liquor is as good as it gets for the Lansing/Leavenworth area. Take it from an avid collector /aficionado who’s visited every(yes, every) liquor store in the Leavenworth area — this place has by far the largest selection. I’ve done the due diligence on this one. Only if you’re willing to drive 45 minutes to Bubble’s in Kansas City will you do better in terms of rare /limited releases(but Lansing will usually acquire something if you ask). They have a Military Monday 10% discount that is WONDERFUL if it applies to you. Especially if you start scooping up that Glenmorangie Ealanta or Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 Sistema Solera — saves you enough to toss in a wine bottle or two with the difference. Even then, the prices at Lansing always beat online retailers(even before shipping & handling), so if they’ve got it in stock you’re better off making the short drive to acquire it. I believe they still have a deal where you can get discounts for buying entire cases as well(for all you bulk buyers). The owners /managers are super nice and always willing to chat with you about what you like or what you’re looking for. They go out of their way to live up to «the best selection in Leavenworth», and they always recognize the regulars. It’s good to walk into a local store where they *sometimes* know your name but they’re always glad you came. They’ll talk just to be friendly too — it doesn’t have to be about spirits or wine. Here’s just a run-down on their superb selection(predicated entirely on my own recollection) after about a month of shopping: Their range of bourbons and ryes(including many small-batch local releases) is outstanding and enough to make me a regular. When it comes to top shelf, nobody here beats them: I’m talking Breckenridge Bourbon, High West expressions, Blanton’s, Four Roses Small Batch and Single Barrel, Bulleit, Templeton Rye, Colonel E.H. Taylor, Maker’s 46, Bernheim’s Wheat Whiskey, and more. Their tequila and rum selection are modest, but it includes high quality offerings like Ron Zacapa, Don Julio, and Tequila Avion. Their cordials selection is HUGE, with just about every modifier you could want for a home bar. I even buy their sake every now and then(wish they’d get more Demon Slayer and nigori sake in though). Gin and vodka selections are outstanding as well. Venture off the beaten path and try some Leopold’s or Hendrick’s! Can’t remember if they carry the Botanist or not, but I’m set either way(I’m sure I could ask). The Scotch selection is solid, but I do wish they carried a bit more in the Islay department. Some Bruichladdich would be nice — like a Black Art 3, Bere Barley, and Octomore, or even just the«Laddie 10». Hopefully they’ll get some of Ardbeg’s phenomenal expressions like Uigeadail and Corryvreckan. I understand many Missouri /Kansas drinkers just don’t hit that peaty sauce too often, which is a shame. I’ve tried local tastings based on phenomenal, rare smoke bombs and few people even wanted to try them :-(I blame the bourbon spoiling :-) Still, after trying hundreds of single malt expressions I’m ready to say that Ardbeg’s Corryvreckan is the most amazing Scotch ever produced. Really hope they get some, since I’m running low. The Irish whisky is well-represented — all the big players. The wine and beer selections are solid — they’ve never left me wanting, even though my emphasis is on spirits. In short, you really just can’t go wrong here. Happy to recommend these guys, since spirit-buying — for me — is serious business.

Wonderful and surprising selection of wines and spirits for a small town store. I walked into a friendly and inviting store where I was promptly greeted. The wine was categorized by origin/region and they featured vintage and newer bottles of wines. Their selection ranged from value to reserve pricing and the discounts they offer on cases is fantastic. They also feature a 6 bottle monthly selection that contains a wonderful combination.
