Was there last night 12⁄18 with guest. Waited 20 min at table before I went to the bar to get drinks and menus. After being acknowledged by the bartender waited another half hour before finishing ours drinks and leaving for Finley’s. If it were busier I might understand. Poor service.

Sweet, seems to be back on point. Came here last night and they were really busy. Sat at the bar and we were greeted almost immediately. The bartender was running around filling orders but she took the time to say«Hi» and she would be with us in a minute. Very short wait. She was very pleasant and helpful. Both of the bartenders were a pleasure. Regularly checking on us and making sure we were set with everything. I looked around and watched the waitresses and they were all scrambling and they and customers were smiling and laughing. The food we had was also very good again. Glad to see that things appear to be getting back on track.

Expecting bar fare– but enjoyed nicely flavored, well prepared food. Aside from the woman enduring a robust bout of TB-type coughing… we had a good time.

Just had lunch with a group of 20+ people. We called ahead with an order of pizzas and a spot on the patio. The food was hot and ready when we sat down, tables set up, and pitchers of pop and water already in place. With over 10 hungry kids timing is everything. The pizza quality was better than expected, its tough to please everyone when ordering pizza but I heard nor have any complaints. Overall a really great experience, I would highly recommend Franks!

Like all things in Lansing, this place is a bit run down and at noon on a Tuesday was a ghost town. BUT, don’t judge a book by its cover. I’ve been here 3 times now and, while I haven’t been overly impressed in any particular way, I haven’t left disappointed either. First, they have NTN Buzztime Trivia. Mega points. Second the food is pretty decent. It’s not gonna win any awards, but it’s solid and filling. It can be a bit of a belly bomb, but you’ll happily eat most everything on your plate. Third, the staff seems to be good folk. Today, I ordered the Italian Roast Beef sandwich and she accidentally brought me an Italian Classic sandwich, instead. No biggie, it was my second choice, anyway. She apologized profusely and kept offering to replace it or give me a free side or to go order even though I was clearly ok with what I got. She just truly wanted to make sure I left happy and that made me leave happy.

Food was ok. Service was slow with light lunch crowd. My biggest issue is the smell emanating from the bar and dining are around the bar. Clean the carpet or replace with surface you can clean. If I wasn’t their with group and came in with my family would have turned around.

Worse Bar In Lansing! Not only does the place smell bad the wait staff is incredibly rude. Stayed away for months and decided to give Franks another chance. Was promptly told my Keno ticket was last priority and the Bar Tender would get to it if she could. There’s about ten people in the bar and the wait staff is sitting around talking. Customer service I think not. Common sense is not common at Franks!!! If I were to manage this bar I’d begin by firing the owner and then fire the entire staff.

Been here several time. The food is ok. The wait staff is very bad. TVs situation is pretty bad. If you eat at the bar you won’t see any TV comfortably.

Today, 8 February 2015 I stopped in. I have given good reviews in the past, and spend many dollars at Franks. Today was good, until I went to the bar to cash in Keno tickets. Our better than the customer bar tender was as far away from the Keno machine as could be. She was talking with Madison, and ignoring the Keno side. She finished with Madison, and walked over to a register to pick up something, well looking at me. She went to the south side of the bar to hang something over the bar, well talking to one of the cooks. She got down to grab some more stuff to hang, when I yelled«Excuse me! Can I have some help?» She came over and took my keno tickets. She scanned them, as Lyndsy was coming in(who is wonderful!), and took my winnings, and just tossed them at me, and walked away. Last I knew, customer service was what kept people coming back? I am now debating if I will now give my cash to Buffalo Wild Wings, and Reno’s west? The Fat a brothers need to work on what they hire!

Boy are the owners doing something right here! Friendly staff, great beer selection, awesome pizzas. Cheese bread was absolutely phenomenal. Can’t beat the wings it’s like they’re giving them away with the prices that they charge. I would never go to Buffalo wild wings next-door that place sucks(typical chain etc) compared to how good Frank’s is. Best place to watch a sporting event, especially MSU games.

I’m seriously surprised people give this place 4 or 5 stars. The service is horrible. Seriously, horrible. The bar was maybe half full. I was with a party of 4. We each ordered a beer which took 20 minutes to brought to the table. We ordered the sampler app and a pizza and a burger. The app arrived at the same time as our food. Our food, if it could be called that, was an insult to anyone who has at least 4 taste buds. The pizza was supposed to be Chicago style. It was no thicker than something you’d get from a store bought frozen pizza. They topped it with can mushrooms. I know when it comes to bar food to set your expectations low. I should have set my expectations to none and I still think they would disappoint.

Stayed nearby and the place was recommended by the hotel. It is open seating although I didn’t know it and I stood by the door for a while before someone said you could sit anywhere. I chose the bar and it was ½ price pizza night so I tried the pizza. Very good crust and sauce and lots of cheese and toppings. I would definitely return for the pizza again. Menu looked like typical bar food but almost everyone in the place was eating pizza. The lady bartender said she had worked there for 10 years. She may need a rest. Not super friendly or customer oriented. Just grunted answers or didn’t pay much attention to customers… not just me. Otherwise it is a satisfactory place to eat.

AWFUL. It stinks like they are neglectful with cleaning. Almost a sour smell. Waitress was incredibly rude to me. She brought out my meal, which was not what I ordered. When I told her it wasn’t what I ordered, she acted like I was wrong. Funny, because I remember pointing to what I wanted and told her out loud! The people I was with were done eating by the time my food arrived. Waitress continues her non apologetic attitude and fails to provide any service whatsoever… disappearing all together for about a half hour. Will not recommend, solely based on their poor cleaning practices.

Well… where should I start? How about if you’re going to have open seating, you post a sign or instruct your staff to tell folks instead of ignoring them when they’re standing by the door looking around? Other than that… mediocre service and mediocre food, although the price was pretty reasonable. I will say that it would have been nice to have been offered salad dressing prior to eating most of my entrée salad. Thinking this one’s not making the list of places to stop at in Lansing.

Food is great. Our server was horrible– didn’t check on us ONE time. Overall, not the best place around.

In the past we always ordered nachos and loved them. As we were traveling with the kids we decided to stop for pizza. Lucky for us it was BOGO on pizza. They were happy with the cheese pizza and we LOVED the Buffalo Chicken. Great flavor, not too spicy, and who knew blue cheese on pizza would be so good?! When you walk in there’s no hostess. Reading the previous reviews on service we flagged down a server before sitting down. No service complaints, and compliment on bringing extra napkins & refilling soda without asking. There menu is the same as the Okemos location but this one was a lot cleaner, and not as dingy as that one.

Solid 3. I got what I came for. Service was Ok. Food was OK. Beer was OK(2IPA’s available). A little noisier than quiet. Hey it’s a sports bar. You will do fine here.

I was in the area attending a training session for work and a few of us decided to come here for lunch. We thought it would be nice to try something in the area that wasn’t a chain restaurant to get a good feel for the place and support the local businesses. When we walked in it was mostly empty(and eerily quiet) but there were a few men wearing business suits there having working lunches. We thought we had chosen a nice quiet spot to have a quick bite to eat, but I left feeling absolutely underwhelmed. The menu is incredibly varied and the prices are totally affordable, but the food itself was only so-so…I’d call it sub-par, at best. To be honest I probably would have enjoyed my lunch better if I had just gotten a salad at a drive-thru restaurant. The staff was friendly, but unbearably SLOOOOOOW. There was probably more staff in the restaurant than patrons, at the time, and it took forever to get our food… forever to get our checks(even though we had asked)…and forever to get our credit cards back once we had paid. As I stated before, we were on a lunch break from a training session and we had limited time(we were given an hour, so we didn’t think it would be difficult to get in and out quickly, but apparently speedy service is not something they do here). We ended up being late getting back because lunch had taken over an hour and a half! This is all considering we all knew what we wanted to order and placed our orders right away… well, right when she got around to coming to our table to get our order. It is dark, outdated and definitely divey. I imagine this is probably a decent dive-bar type place to come get cheap drinks and watch a game, but I definitely was not at all impressed. My suggestion would be to find somewhere else to go and leave this place as a last resort… unless you’re already drunk.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. It was quieter than I expected for a sports bar. We were craving burgers and decided to come here because of reviews we’d read. To be honest, the burger was just OK. We ordered the Inferno and expected fire but it was rather easy. For a plain burger it was very good, if you like that sort of thing. We also ordered a personal pizza, wanted the 5 alarm pizza(spicy chicken and hot sauce) but got the Red Hat(ham and jalapenos?). Waitress was very sweet and apologetic for it but it was not at all what I wanted. Both dishes sounded super hot and spicy on the menu but came out normal. I’d come here again for drinks because the atmosphere is good, sportsy and clean. But i doubt I’d crave the food we had. P.S: I did love the nachos on a previous visit.

I have been in here several times. This time we stopped in for a quick lunch. I have to say this was one of the best lunches I have had in quite some time. I started off with the baked potato soup. It was very good. It had good sized chunks of potato and bacon. I then had the capicolla sandwhich. It was spicy ham and provolone on swirt rye bread. All of the flavors worked well together. The place is a large sports bar and grill essentially. It is a little dark and dingey inside, but the food is pretty good and pretty cheap.
