So happy we found this place, hadn’t really found a breakfast spot we like overmuch since we moved here, especially somewhere to take visiting family. The food and coffee are delicious. All the breakfast meals seem to be pretty rich and complex — don’t go expecting to be able to order standard bacon and eggs or a waffle. Love the feel of the place too, lots of natural light and a cute setup. It did start to get loud and busy as we were leaving(a Saturday around 945) so glad we had an early breakfast. Prices may be slightly on the high side but I definitely left full. Nice friendly waitress. Looking forward to going again.

They were on a short wait so we agreed to split a table with another couple at the couple’s suggestion. That worked out well as they were very nice, from the neighborhood and gave us some back story for the place and the area in general. Medium sized room with a great New Orleans feel. Love the old metal signs on the wall. Service was much faster than expected for how busy they were. Cortado was so tasty. Beignets were soft like a pillow. Crab Benny is still on my mind a week later. Our perfectly friendly server(wish I knew her name for a shout out) highly recommended this dish and for that, I thank her. My lovely wife got the classic Benedict and found it phenomenal. Jalapeño bacon was just the right mouth awakening spicy. Potatoes Dauphinoise were rich, creamy, crispy on top and so hard to stop eating. Our table mates seemed to love their dishes as well. Prices were low for the quality of food and service. I am now looking forward to our Lansing family visitation like I never have before. Thank you Creole Coffee Company see you soon

Went there today with my girlfriend and another friend. Food: We really enjoyed the food. I had the tasso ham eggs benidict and potatoes dauphinoise with french press coffee and really liked it. My girlfriend had the French onion grilled cheese with au jus and fries. She said that the sandwich could be more cheesy — but it was very tasty! Price: On the expensive side considering the portion size. Coffee is a pay by the cup variety, and everything is ala carte. Eggs benidict plus potatoes and coffee will run you $ 15. That said, the flavor, quality and ingredients are top notch. Décor: Nice style — exposed brick with vintage signs and a good hipster vibe. Tables are close together but it still feels private. It can be pretty noisy however. Upshot: Will definitely return.

This place is adorable. Probably my fav place in old town. Their coffee is delicious(my fav is the large) and their breakfast is super unique and yummy. The breakfast food is the best! Definitely check this place out If you’re in the area :)

Went here for brunch today, definitely not a good place for a large group(a little cramped inside) and it was packed and food and coffee were slow to arrive, but the great food made up for it. My latte was perfect, there were six of us so I was able to try the onion and bacon eggs Benedict, crab cake Benedict, shrimp and grits and of course the beignets. All of it was great, especially the onion and bacon Benedict, will definitely go back next time I’m in town.

I can’t even express how much I loved this place! I would give it a 4.5 if I could, I only reserve 5 for the best restaurants in the world. I do think since this place is new there is slight room for improvement. The coffee dishes, the décor, the vintage book covers with my check, the coffee menu, the menu, the location, the music, the view, the staff!!! All perfect perfect perfect!!! I was pleased in so many ways… And I’m a complete food snob, especially since I regularly visit the best restaurants in NOLA. Everyone in the area MUST eat here. As for improvement, please take this with a grain of salt since it is extremely small in comparison to the positives here, first you lose points with me every time there isn’t salt out. It’s not an insult to your cooking, I put salt on every piece of food I consume, no matter how well you season it, it’s just my taste. Second, as I noted before with my review of the sister restaurant I hate the bathrooms. I slammed the door into someone today and the stalls are tacky. Third, there is slight room for improvement in the flavor of the food, the chicken in my crepes was slightly dry, the crab cakes were a little fishy and the hollandaise slightly bland. The beignets and bananas foster crepes were perfect. I would like to see more authentic chicory coffee, I think they use just some average paramount coffee… and lunch items on the weekend. Great job creole! You *may replace Soup Spoon as my favorite, right now the only thing they have on you is organic, locally sourced ingredients.

The coffee, food, and atmosphere are great. My friend and I went wild, ordering an assortment of drinks and brunch options. Everything was delicious. The eggs Benedict had a perfect hollandaise sauce(a rare feat in this area), the bengiets were divine little pillows of sweet bliss, and the sipping chocolate is the best in Lansing. The staff is friendly and attentive, but not annoyingly so. My only quibble is that the seating is limited and it’s a popular spot, so you may have to wait for a table. It’s well worth the wait, though, especially for Saturday brunch.

Cool little hangout in Old Town! Love the chicken and spinach crêpe. Great coffee. Show up early to get a table though — it’s a small place with limited seating!

I did not have coffee because they did not have a light roast. French presses at tables. Food is amazing. Low jazz music. Can’t wait to come back!

I’m hooked! This place is amazing-quickly becoming a favorite. The food & coffee rock; the staff is earnest & works through glitches with grace(major back up re coffee drinks today as one barista was late) & humor; the feeling of community & camaraderie is what the Soup Spoon used to be. Shared our table with two women this morning & we left as friends… and even planned another date for dinner!

A great addition to Old Town. From the delicious coffee, tasty crepes, and blackened shrimp sandwiches, this café brings a piece of New Orleans to the heart of Michigan. The atmosphere is cozy and the sound of jazz music floating through the air add excellent touches.

Really delicious foods. The crab cake was divine! Service was a little slow but you don’t mind it if you have good company to chat with. It’s a quaint place with good vibes. Will return for more delicious coffee and foods!

I have been there four times and it just opened two weeks ago if that tells you anything. Everything is wonderful! The Crab Cake Benedict is the best I’ve ever had, the biscuits and gravy are ALMOST as good as my momma’s, the coffee is amazing, and the beignets are superb! I highly recommend this place to all!

Was very popular for brunch today. Had the andouille sausage quiche with the potato side dish and it was very tasty with many different flavors. Topped it off with a hand-squeezed grapefruit mimosa. Very proud that Lansing has another great new restaurant choice!
