Every time I have gone here I have always had a very good experience and great haircut, however they are extremely expensive the most expensive around and also one of the owners often times when you book with him he tells you last minute that he won’t be there or just doesn’t show up.

I’m traveling through Lansing, MI & called Classic Barber Shop to see if someone could cut my hair. I’m an African American female and I wanted to confirm that a barber working there could fade, taper and shape my short TWA.
I am so happy with my cut. Brian, the owner was personable and made sure to give me what I wanted.
Clean shop with an easy going vibe. I felt extremely comfortable in this barber shop.
I recommended this shop to my fellow cast mates in town this week. :)

Traveling all the time, I have to hunt for good barber shops on the road. I was very happy with Brian at Classic Barber Shop. He really took the time to understand what I was looking for and did a masterful job. Jon worked on my friend at the same time & did an awesome job. We also got to see Brook work on a client at the same time and he was clearly a skilled barber. I’d highly recommend this shop and any of these guys to anyone looking for a good barber! Setting an appointment on the website was very easy and I got text and email notifications to remind me about the appointment. Check them out!!! Great shop, great people!

Stopped by Classic for my first haircut since I moved to town. The guys here are really friendly and laid-​back. Can’t say the same about the rest of the town.
Brian is really thorough and asked me exactly how I wanted my hair. I’ve gotten so used to me telling my barber how I want my hair, and them cutting it entirely different, so it was nice that we got to talk it through. Brian’s really thorough about it too.
I think I’m comfortable enough to just let Brian work his magic next time… or, if I decide to try a new hairstyle, I’m pretty sure I could show him a pic and say «just like that.» I’ll definitely be comin back.

A classic barbershop… call to make an appointment. Any of the barber’s are fantastic to work with and make interesting conversions. Truly the best cut and beard trim to date. Stop by and check this shop out for yourself.

I called to make an appointment. Left a VM. Owner initiates a text from the phone number left on VM to set up an appointment. After text conversation to establish a working time, the owner mysteriously doesn’t receive the one text confirming the appointment… When I try to complain, I get scolded for trying to text to a busy «well established» barber instead of calling. WTH? He may be a fabulous barber but customer service is seriously lacking.

I took the chance on visiting Brian at Classic Barbershop after noticing his beard work on several others before making my appointment (don’t expect to just walk-​in for a cut; this guys booked for a reason).
Granted not being able to just get a haircut takes away from the spontaneous feeling — but the service & attention to detail you get for having to schedule, well worth it.
Great local location right on Michigan avenue — definitely going back.

Great barber shop and an excellent barber! Brian is personable and made sure he understood exactly what I wanted. I had him shave my head with the straight razor and trim my beard (which is long). He was meticulous and I left very happy with the way my beard looked. I’ll be heading back!

A real deal barber shop, stylish and a bit edgy. The Owner did an outstanding job on my son and I. We will definitely be going back. The shop, while grown up, did cater to my children very well and let them watch whatever they wanted while they waited.

Yes, a barber who can give a hot towel shave and a really good cut. Good conversation, relaxed atmosphere. Located on Michigan ave. near Moriarty’s bar and Stober’s bar.
